That sounds like a very stupid way to handle the situation. I want to give a little push back though in that I don't think there's a good playbook on how to handle this decades' parasocial relationships. It seems like the last 3 years something shifted and the way entertainers are expected to interact with their fans has drastically changed.He did recently lose a member of his community who passed away and they contributed to over 500+ of his subs on twitch via gift subs, donos, and bits (was useing his collage money to do so) and when he passed away duncan didnt even bat an eye he gave grievances to said members family but then later said "they wernt really a friend he was somebody i talked to and part of the community for over 2+ years" Because of his anti parasocial mentality. Meanwhile the bulk of his community was crying (rightfully so its sad) he didnt care to give him a shoutout or mention, or if he did it was half assed and forced hes a digusting person personally.
You don't have to answer this, but are you a former fan of Duncans that stumbled on the thread or a fan of a different creator that Duncan has clashed with in the past?
