BOTW and by extension TOTK have, many character models, many weapons, but they do use the same animations here and there when necessary. Comparing something on a HUGE SCALE like these games (Reminder: BOTW was initially going to be a bigger game until it was scaled down, and was delayed to 2017 from as far as 2014). Pokemon barely, if it ever has, gets a delay and usually has a solidified concrete date and the fact Scarlet and Violet was the first open world game, or rather, the first game in the RPG mainline series to be bigger than ever, and not just "one big area" like the Wild Area in Pokemon Sword and Shield, 5 years into the switch's life cycle, something's fucked. Yes, there are over 600 Pokemon (thjijs is funny because by the time Pokemon Sun and Moon were out there were a little over 800 so I have no idea how he fucked this one up because there's now over 1000) but most moves use the same animation wiht different effects so not every animation is unique. Yes, there are some unique animations for each Pokemon, but only certain Pokemon get them. To give an example, Pikachu can use fly and surf and gets to ride on balloons or a board specifically to use said moves. BOTW/TOTK has a lot more than what Pokemon has and it makes up for whatever the hell Duncan thinks Pokemon has in literally almost every single department. Oh and it has voice acting for important cutscenes, something still not present for modern Pokemon games, AND it's in different languages, not just Japanese and English. So fuck off with the idea that Pokemon games are "more work" than BOTW/TOTK was/is
