I think he also started getting a complex at some point, and was probably unburdened by having someone else to check his work. The Dreamfall games list this Dag Scheve as another writer, and while Chapters started to see some of this rot creep in, on the whole it wasn't... too obvious? In the opening scene of TLJ, you can find that April's landlord is a lesbian, and that was actually a 'statement' in '99. So he was always of that persuasion, but he could keep his spergery contained.

There's some forums board dedicated just to these guys' games, where the most sycophantic orbiters are the only ones who post (and they post excessively).
I think all that idol-worship really went to the guy's head.

I find it comical that almost every (seething) review of this "game" either doesn't mention Theo, is easy on him, or even outright says he is the most likable/relatable.
