Dwarf Fortress adds trans dwarves - basement dwellers who are confused about their sexuality are outraged.

Just like in real life, tantruming tranny dwarves will only be a danger for actually female dwarves.

IMHO the biggest reason to even play such a game, but different strokes.

Toady claimed people have approached him with six-figure sums for dwarf fortress (and he turned them down) - I find that honestly hard to believe. Must've been quite a few years ago if it happened. I can't imagine anyone risking to pay a six-figure sum for that game, especially in the current game industry economy.

I'm gonna call it now, if he gets disgustingly rich with df on steam he's gonna drop the game like a hot potato. Probably sell it off to somebody.

I like to spend hours collecting various animals; large and small, subterranean and surface-dwelling, arthropods and vertebrates. I take them all, put them in a circle around a 40-meter pit, and then push them in to see how many pieces they split into. The bottom of the pit is located in a crawlspace directly above my prison, and there are grates placed at random so that at any given moment, a random prisoner can be showered with guts. Sometimes I withhold food and drink from the prisoners so that they get so thirsty they start drinking the blood and getting horribly sick, vomiting, and then drinking each others' vomit back up. Chronic criminals and useless migrants are sliced into pieces on the pit floor (with skills and weapons specially selected to induce as much pain and bleeding as possible), but there are so many different types of blood there already that I doubt any of the prisoners would notice.

I, for one, welcome tranny dorfs. I look forward to devising my own method of bottom surgery.

You forgot to take into account the 41% suicide rate and the infected wounds they'll get after SRS lol.

If you want to prevent new births, just drown all female dwarves.

Tranny dwarves will be invulnerable and cannot be eaten/killed by lava.

The player will be called a tranny genocider whenever one of them would be hurt.
 
Lol just play an earlier version, the free one doesn't autopatch and it has the most beautiful graphics.

I don't think they exist. There's a slim chance of them being gay or asexual and to fix that you can set their alignment chance in the raws to 0:0:100 or whatever (google it) if you really care. I don't have the level of autism necessary to pay that much attention to individual dwarves personally.
Literally the only time I've even noticed their spouses is when recalling workers from another holding or assigning a room or something and seeing another dwarf get auto-selected. And even then not once have I bothered to even read their names. All "be with family" dwarves can eat shit, straight or gay you're all drowning or dying in a cave-in soon anyway.
