Nintendo's region exclusivity is like a trip back to 2010. Why would you still keep games region exclusive if you are a major worldwide studio or of the big three?

I'm sure there's legal reasons for this, it just seems like an unnecessary challenge in the day of piracy.
What's even weirder to me is that the DS didn't have regionlocking, but they reintroduced it with the DSi.

So either they know something we don't or they're being dicks for no reason.

The only one of those games that I liked was Murdered: Soul Suspect. You turn into a ghost and a cat in the same game and it's funny as hell. Heavy Rain was just bad.
There were a hundred things wrong with Murdered: SS but since the story wasn't one of them, it's better than anything quantic dream have done.

Also, if anybody cares about it, people have pretty much given up on the RE7 demo so it's unfinished, unsatisfying and full of pointless items. Not exactly making me optimistic for the final product. For once I would have preferred less gameplay and that they had just stuck to a trailer.

Am I the only one who doesn't mind this? Every character being an unstoppable super soldier in 5 and 6 was dumb as hell. I don't understand why everyone is so upset about this.
The main reason so many people aren't on board with this is because it seems more like Silent Hill than Resident Evil. People were expecting zombies, hunters, plagas, and Tyrants. The trailer made it seem like some sort of generic, demonic entity had possessed some people and turned them crazy vaguely human, like a Silent Hill game.

It's been said before, but if Capcom just gave it a different name there wouldn't be nearly as much complaining about it.

Though I agree that turning everybody into a late-to-the-party Matrix knock-off super soldier (or turning Jill into a lame version of Samus Aran) was a stupid idea.

You can get like a few different endings but they all end the same? I only got 2 of them.

Pretty much. People count the different lines of telephone dialogue as different endings but I see it as variations on the same one. It's either that or the door.

Have a look at all those banned users, christ.

"You go against the narrative. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!"

If you actually go with what happened... Nintendo wins 5/5 because most people on the treehouse stream were japanese and women.

Mafia 3 and Battlefield 1 have black protagonists as the only playable character. The last time this happened was the video game "Men of Valor" a 60s nam shooter which performed so poorly that a lot of devs swore off puting in only black playable characters for the best part of a decade.

GTAV only partially broke this mold recently by making Franklyn your first playable character.

Was watching the God of War demo again and noticed something cool. When the boy scares off the deer at the beginning, the rage meter appears in the upper left and builds when Kratos loses his temper and starts shouting, then decreases as he regains his composure.

Apparently it's been confirmed you play as Kratos for the whole game. Also he's now voiced by Stargate actor Christopher Judge.

The tears are fucking delicious. Neogaf is having a meltdown and the clickbait is coming.

During the conversation, which was translated by a Nintendo representative, we asked Aonuma if the rumors of having the option to play as a female version of Link are accurate. He said that he's aware of the conversations happening online, stating: "So yes, there were rumors like that, and we did discuss as a staff as to what would be possible if we took that route."

However, instead of entertaining the idea of the player being able to choose the hero Link's gender, Aonuma said his team considered what they deemed to be the simplest option; making princess Zelda the lead character. "We thought about it," said Aonuma, "and decided that if we're going to have a female protagonist it's simpler to have Princess Zelda as the main character."

This idea was ultimately rejected, because according to Aonuma "...if we have princess Zelda as the main character who fights, then what is Link going to do? Taking into account that, and also the idea of the balance of the Triforce, we thought it best to come back to this [original] makeup."

tldr - NINTENDO HATES WOMEN
Even if there was a "female Link", FemLink would just be Link with boobs and longer hair, and SJWs still would complain...which everyone else would've seen coming.

Funnily enough after Linkle made her debut in Hyrule Warriors the usual rouges gallery of faux progressive idiots complained about her short skirt and thigh highs. These morons will never be happy and I wish developers would stop pandering to them.

In other news You'll be paying 60 usd for eight hours of David Cage's hipster pretension.

Supposedly they toyed with the idea of Linkle in Breath of the Wild but then realized that they'd rather wait for a chance to just give Zelda a game. Makes more sense I think.

I kinda hoped they'd make Breath of the Wild starring Linkle and Zelda as a dude that has to rescue her. SJw heads would explode and beings from the next galaxy over would be able to hear the butthurt screams.

As I pointed out earlier, little surprised they didn't consider a stealth alternative in which Shiek is a playable character.
