You didnt hit shit because I'm not 35. And the average age for a first-time father today is nearly 31, and thats the average with all the trailer park trash and hoodlums who dont know how to wear a condom bringing the number down when they have a kid while still in highschool. If it was only successful people then the number would be way higher.I can see I hit a cord, but you are aware the average person typically does have kids by age 35, correct?
I'm well aware of what happened to SEGA during the 16-32bit transition because I was there, and the problem is that they nuked the 32X way too early much like Nintendo did with the Virtualboy, but while SEGA fans left Nintendo ones went and bought a N64. To their credit Nintendo did keep the Snes alive until like 1998 while SEGA preemptively killed the Genesis instead of letting the 32X carry it over for 2-3 more years. I remember an interview that said the LockOn cart of S&K was originally meant to have the SVP chip and the idea was to compete with the superFX games with the advantage that you only need to buy the chip once so games would be cheaper. It was genius because the SVP was way more powerful than the FX and we could probably have had DOOM on the Genesis. Also I think they said the Virtua Fighter version for the 32X was originally for the SVP. Kallinske was right in not wanting to abandon the Genesis, he knew how hard it had been to get that market from Nintendo and the Nes, but the japs at SoJ didnt care because nobody bought the MD over there so they wanted to move to the Saturn fast.So yeah man. I appreciate your commentary on Nintendo and SEGA but I think you might be well-served to study more of what was happening back then. You seem to have knowledge about various pieces of events, but little understanding of the context. But I don't mind chatting with you about it. Some of it is really interesting stuff.
But by the time the Dreamcast came around SEGA as a brand was so tarnished they didnt even call it the Sega Dreamcast in the EU and JP market like they did with the Sega Saturn and Sega Genesis. The SEGA name wasnt part of the Dreamcast logo but put elsewhere because people didnt like SEGA anymore. And when the Dreamcast launched SEGA had no other consoles still active, even the GameGear had been killed by 97 and then sold to majesco, so I dont know where you get there was cannibalization, that happened between the 32X and the Saturn
I put the peak at late 2004, nothing will ever surpass the avalanche of quality that was that season, the amount of top-tier games released at the same timeThe scale was tipped around 2007/2008, it's not just "back in my day" syndrome, that really was a major turning point, that's when gaming became popular enough that developers started catering more to normies and less to the hardcore, there's been plenty of great games since but a special magic was lost compared to 2007 and below, those were truly the peak days.
I remember the X360 launch being kind of a letdown in terms of titles, the only nextgen-ish game people were talking about was Condemned and it has aged horriblyIt started right off the bat with the launch of the Xbox 360, when people said the best reason to buy the console was because of Geometry Wars (a game invoking old school games) which was stupid because the 360 actually had one of the better launches a console has ever had, at least compared to the PS5 and XSX.
I didnt know anyone who wasnt jacking off to Bioshock at the time, and for me it wasnt that greatFrom there in the first few years of the 7th gen there was a lot of cynicism about the current state of gaming, games like Bioshock were met with "not as good as System Shock 2",
F3 was great, the people I knew who were ranting against it were purists angry that it wasnt an isometric turn-based game but an FPS. It might have been "oblivion with guns" but it was a good game nonetheless and despite the bugs and having to play in on a toaster back then those were some good times, tho of course NV is an order of magnitude better.Fallout 3 was "not as good as Fallout 1 and 2", almost everything was always met with cries of "not as good as the past"
Its funny how nobody considered things could be so much worse than the FXI also feel like people were too harsh on games of that era and that mentality in some respects led to guys like Jonathon Blow and Phil Fish trying to "save" gaming and only ironically making it that much worse by later bringing Woke politics into it, for all the accusations thrown at games of the 7th gen, at least shit was not Woke, which makes it all so refreshing today and any flaws forgivable.
No, its the fear of not following the trance, the etiquette, the social rituals of SJW wokeshit. SJWs are the most egotistical mean fuckers you can find, and they hold a grudge forever. You think they actually care about minorities? about being nice? its all performance, they never actually help any disadvantage people, its all virtue-signaling for internet pointsBut it's the fear of not being empathetic enough
Shit, I'm a minority in a country that's about to explode, you think any SJWs have offered to help me? none, zero
Well that was the fascism angle I was talking about, and the comics and books painted the COG as shit government since the very first game, but Marcus and the rest of the team were the good guys while today they would probably be framed as muh toxic masculinity and shit. But from there things started changing, Gears 3 actually was surprisingly proto Woke, what with the reveal of the COG actually being bad guys, the secret island where all the rich people went to hide to escape the horrors everyone else had to live with with and the new female Gears.
As for the female gears it kind of makes sense since they are on their last legs in 3, but it makes zero sense in the new trilogy
I remember the shitstorm about the game having this tiny rape-ish scene according to feminists and I was like "the fuck? have you ever seen a movie about rape?". Of course these were the same cunts wearing "I was raped" tshirts when in reality what happened is they got drunk or high and fucked a rando then regretted is2011 is when the earliest signs of Woke popped up, same year the new Tomb Raider made it's debut, but it's all so mild compared to the nightmare of today.
Thats not being raped, thats being a whore with a substance problem
My guess is that it will only get worseHow sad is that we live in an age where that's a thing?
Really? why? the fireflies being SJWs turned amoral terrorists?as a story I really do think it was brilliant and actually very relevant for today's world.
If you mean that part with the Vox the devs backpedaled a lot and declared the black girl totally dindu nothing in the DLCsIt reminds me of Bioshock Infinite, now that game was a real mixed bag, but it's story contains a very relevant message for today's world.
Except they hamfisted that in with the DLC for the first game, SJWs dont understand subtlety at allThere were signs, but it was mostly just Ellie being gay, which I didn't really have a big problem with
Didnt stop coomers from making tons of SFM porn of Ellie getting fucked by dudes
What if its a really good game?I can't see myself getting invested in a game that could vanish completely.
Whats the SJW situation at the company? asking because they already employed a pedo chick who only got the boot after being outted as a literal prostitute. Also AC is a cesspool of woke shitNintendo really may save video games again like they did in the 1980s.
