I just hope the Smash character is everything they never wanted.
Another fire emblem character would send my sides into orbit. Please Sakurai, do it.
I'd rather have it be something that was obviously paid to be put in, just so smashers have to continue to cope with the fact that Nintendo hates their guts.
"Rainbow six man microtransactions his way into the fight. This dlc pack is brought to by ubisoft, buy their latest sequel today to unlock an alternate costume"
Absolute butt hurt would be a call of duty character like Captain Price.

Modern warfare was on the wii….
Another fire emblem character from a game that's already represented. Preferably one with a sword.

Then Sakurai closes the direct with his resignation, effective immediately.
No. Fortnite Guy/Gal. Maximum butthurt, and a double heaping of salt from the fact that Epic got involved with Smash Bros. That'd be my ultimate "hoes mad" Smash character.

As for E3 itself, I'll ask for the thing I always ask for, and never get:

The Blue Rogues' return. Either a sequel, a remaster, hell, I'd even take a straight port at this point. Just....something. :(

The ironic thing was when gamecube was current you could get most titles for under 20 bucks easily. Even Promo stuff like the Zelda anthology promo discs were being sold for a few bucks.

The system rotted on shelves and I got Donkey konga 1 and 2 with the bongos for 9 bucks. When gamestop liquidated the games they sold them for 75-90% off and tied a BOGO deal to them.

I made enough money to pay off most of my car in 2016 or 2017 by selling off my Gamecube and N64 collections. Shit was great

Maybe the roof will cave in on them and take Tetsuya Nomura as well.
Spare my liege. Not his fault he's constantly assigned to KH games and lost management of 15 because they needed to steal members of his team to fix the disaster that was ff14.

He did pretty good with the ff7 remake. Cut the man some slack, he gets a bad rep that is ridiculous in my opinion.

He completely trashed his "faithful remake" and missed the entire point of Yoshinori Kitase's game. Instead we got a sequel disguised and marketed as a remake that was trying to be cool.

I don't know when it was decided that Tetsuya Nomura should be the Final Fantasy 7 guy, his contribution to the original game was character design and it was pretty clear with FF7:Advent Children (which he directed) that his only interest was on remaking FF7 into his own thing, not continuing it. Now mind you I rather liked AC as a edgy teenager back in the day, but you'd have a hard time arguing that Cloud having a Man of Steel-esque fight with Sephiroth literally punching each other through buildings and running up fall debris was a proper sequel to the game.
Well I don't really mind the quasi-timey-whimey-sequel, but yeah misleading to call it a remake when it's clearly not.

The FF14 claim is easy enough to check...
So FF15 started development in 2012 and it was released in 2016. But there is of course a trick to it, since it was technically originally announced in 2006 as Final Fantasy Versus XIII and only six years later in 2012 rebranded and retooled to become it's own mainline entry. Tetsuya was replaced in 2014.
FF14 started development in 2005 (well planning at least) and it was officially released on September 2010. The 'realm reborn' work started on April 2011 with the final product being released in 2013.

So (assuming by dates are right of course) even if they stole his entire team for the 2 years it took them to do a realm reborn that still left him with 5 years to finish his game before realm reborn, and another years (probably less though) after that to work on it.

Looking back from the very beginning hipster faggots like Phil Fish started showing up they were absolute faggots even if they didn't come on strong with the politics right out of the gate.

One thing that really pisses me off from back then is how many of those types slammed Japanese games and developers and acted like their "le 8 bit indie game" was so much better.

But as soon as people got a stick up their ass about "muh WAHMEN AND VIDEO GAMES!" things got so much worse.

It's funny how much nerds hated hipsters right from the very start, before it got all political, but it was just clear there's a fundamental difference between people like nerds and people like hipsters, just self centered, pretentious and full of shit people.
The moment that blow guy showed up with braid and every game journo was sucking his tiny dick I felt something wasnt right, that it made no sense that this yoshi's island look-alike with uglier graphics and shit controls with a "lol bet you didnt expect that" ending was getting so much praise, same with fish and his shitty game he didnt even made but hired others to code

Then gaymergays happened and it all made sense: fish was literally in cahoots with journos and award judges, he gave them stock in his company so if they duped enough normies to buy that shit fez game they would all made money off it. So of course they went and said niGGers must hang because they hate wamen and thats all there is to it, else the cat would be out of the bag
Capcom found the perfect woman for it, unfortunately I don't think we know what her name was.
If she made cammy cosplay on OF she would be swimming in money
I don't know how it is elsewhere, but around here Hipsters have completely taken over the used game market due to so many used media stores taking on retro gaming and are absolutely insufferable.

One guy owns a store and will constantly post stuff he has and just call it garbage or make comments about how he needs to invest in a trash compactor. The last one he posted was literally Paper Mario Thousand Year Door, Donkey Konga 1 and 2 and the X-Men 3 game and he just titled the post "Gamecube Garbage". Someone asked how much for Paper Mario and he says 100 bucks.

Like WTF? Is there some hipster retro joke I'm not getting or are they just trying to be the cool kids by thinking everything sucks while enjoying the huge markup with retro?
Most hipsters are rich kids playing with daddy's platinum card so of course they dont care about the price, or if their business is sustainable since they know they'll simply fail upwards, and in any case theres always the trustfund

Others pretend to be in the hipster scene just to sell overpriced shit to these complete retards, not a bad biz tbh

As someone who beat the original and watched/played everything else, I enjoy what Nomura was doing. Is it perfect? god no, but he went for its own unique approach, and I appreciated that. Your going to disappoint people one way or another, might as well go balls to the wall and make something interesting.

All things considered, I dont think its that much of a departure from the original's style until the endgame. Then I can agree with the point that Newbies are not going to know WTF is going on. If there is one thing I always appreciate about Nomura, its that most of the time when something like that shows up, there is at least one character who is just as lost as the audience.

Plus my understanding is he was just as surprised as everybody else when he was first announced as the director. I dont think he wants to be "just" the KH or FF7 guy.

I've noticed the thing that really fucks over these kinds of games, is when they are forced to transition between two different consoles after already spending a shiton of time and effort on last gen. Between that, losing a core part of his team and god knows what background office policies were going on, I think it unfairly effected Nomura's reputation when he was taken off.

They really rushed the shit out of 15 to get it out the door and it shows. Lots of cut content, shitty plot and unimaginative gameplay. You can thank Tabata for that.

I feel like Nomura is very talented and imaginative, but he hasn't really had the chance to make his own thing.

You beat Sephiroth before leaving Midgar (which you can do next game for the low price of 60 dollars!!) and ghost jannies are fucking up the timeline except when they don't feel like it. I can't wait to see how much the "save Aerith" DLC costs. I'm sure it'll be real cool.

The appeal is that things have gone off the fucking rails now. Nobody's following the script anymore so what's next? Plus ill gladly pay 60 bucks for Cid and Vincent.

Oh I got one!

Maybe we'll get some updated footage of the new Inazuma Eleven game. Looked pretty shit for a while but then they went dark for a year or so and in a recent devstream the game looked much better.

For the uninitiated, it is basically Pokemon except the Pokemon are middle school soccer players and the battles are soccer matches and the moves are DBZ laser beams and magic shit. It's good stuff.

Here we fucking go, lads.....let's see what disappointments they bring us this year....

A Borderlands spinoff, titled Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Meh. Not into Borderlands. Coming in 2022.
