E3 2021 Griefing Thread - Now with more nigger pandering, does anyone even care about most of the games displayed here seriously? (Spoiler alert Nintendo won lol)

I have been watching all of the presentations and dear god I don't know if anybody discussed this but the PC gaming stream was probably the worst of them all so far. Most of the games looked like they'd be in a montage of Indie titles on Switch while there were only 2 good games. It didn't help the show had two teases they never delivered on as well as cringeworthy sketches you'd see from Channel Awesome.

For the past few years, the only 2 things I've wanted from E3 are:

-A new Banjo-Kazooie game
-A new 3D Rayman game

Microsoft doesn't care about Rare's older IPs, and even if it did, most of the old talent at Rare left years ago, making them a shell of their former self.

As for Rayman, between Michel Ancel retiring from the video game industry and Ubisoft being, well, Ubisoft, I don't have much hope for a new Rayman game on par with Rayman 2 being made anytime soon.

At least I learned years ago to lower my expectations for E3. Better to go in with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised than to set them too high and be disappointed.

Still hoping we get a new Armored Core game someday.

The open world DK rumor would be baller as FUCK.

A new DK game would be awesome. Hopefully that rumor turns out to be true.

Wouldn't mind a Switch port of Dead Rising 1/2/Off the Record. Or Anarchy Reigns. That would be great, too.

Makes sense since Games as a Service fits the Game Pass model more than the quality content-rich single player games that Sony and Nintendo target. I've got a lot of good games on there and loaded up Luigi's Mansion. This system still has a lot left in it. Even if they aren't releasing new stuff for it, it is a great companion system even in 2021. Fuck this shit, I'm wrangling ghosts and rolling some westerns. Load up your systems, boys!

I dont get your problem, they still make new games, they just increased production to make remakes. most of those games are pretty old and it makes sense to make them more attractive for kids with better graphics. i like that they atleast try to stay true to the original.

Saw a discussion on another site about how the pandemic and the console generation step-up is the reason that E3 has been weak.

Some guy that is involved in development said that working from home has been great for most devs outside of stuff like mo-cap and voice work. Everything is coming together well before deadline. The toolkits for the new consoles are near identical to last gen with the PS one in particular pretty much just scaling up for PS5 stuff.

There was a circling of wagons from the rest of the people on the site of course.
