I think I've gone full boomer. I have no idea how half of this shit is even popular. I loved the original FF7 and still replay it, but 20 hours of padding for a 3 hour section of a game with 3 hours of it being weird anime grunts makes me feel nothing.

I feel like it was said back in like...2014 or 2015? Whenever it was "first" announced I think.

Dragon's Dogma was originally made for the west due to Capcom at the time thinking that the west would not like MH so they tried to make an alternative. It's been mostly deemed a cult classic. I think that's why, it didn't pull big Resident Evil or MH Numbers.

DD2 is something I hoped for but didn't believe would actually come. A Crisis Core remake isn't bad either. As for the FF7 remake, I'm staying far away. Nomura can jerk himself off as much as he wants, he's not getting my money for his Harvest Moon equivalent shit again.
