EA tells Kyle Rittenhouse his name could cause ‘harm’ - EA Games. Challenge Everything

Sure, but its his actual name. I'd love to get a transcript of how things go down with customer service if he tries to keep it. "Sir, your username violates our standards." "Why? Its my name." "No, sir, its your user name and it violates our standards" "No, I'm Kyle Rittenhouse." "Yes, that username is..." "No, I'm actually named Kyle Rittenhouse. Would you like to see my friend's M&P I went shooting with? I have some pictures on Instagram. You can go look me up at 4doorsmorewhores." "Ah, I believe there's been a misunderstanding with things then, sir. Have a nice day."
Who is on First, What is on Second, and FuckYouNigger420 is on Third.

You think he named his account Kyle Rittenhouse, in the hope he would get banned for it so that he could then go and spin it as PR?
I don't think Kyle did it, I think his PR team did it. PR teams are full of boomers, especially one willing to help a right-wing figure like Kyle. "Here, Kyle, name your video game account after yourself and see what happens, some leftist loon will do something and we'll be there to help."

Because Kyle's PR firm demanded it so he can play victim and grift some money from dumb boomer Republicans. Kind of clever way to make money, since the shooting and trial fucked his life so bad basically no one besides a gun store owner will hire him.
This is possible but I've seen quite a few people just straight-up use their name as a username. It's very common on steam games so I imagine that it's far more common on platforms like Origin and the Fortnite one.

They don't actually teach you not to do that in school anymore. That whole thing about the internet being a scary place only really existed for millennials and late zoomers.

Here is a simple question.

Did Kyle Rittenhouse have an EA account and was it named Kyle Rittenhouse before the trial? If so, then it's not a stunt.

But if Kyle just now created an account? Yeah, it's a stunt.

Maybe it wasn't created to specifically cry for getting banned, but it was definitely created to get attention and this is now the route he (or his "team" lol) are going down.

Maybe it's because I don't play Fortnite, Roblox or any other kiddy shit, but I cannot remember ever seeing anything resembling a real name as a gamertag in my life. I'm sure it's happened and I've even seen it, but not to the extent of it being common.

Can't you look at profiles through Steam? And it'll give you account history?

I did a search on Steam and got 1,292 results for "Kyle Rittenhouse"

So unless he specifically links to his account, I'm not going to go through all these.
Given how this was mentioned once, and only a couple of obscure outlets mentioned it, I'm assuming this is just clickbait grifting.

If I was Kyle, I would've at LEAST mentioned the purchases tied on the account. That said, why use a government name as a screen name?

Every other round of steam games like Left 4 Dead 2, Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike have people using real life names as their tags. I also see it all the time in MMOs.

I can only imagine that's sportsball land (EA) has more of it.

Why though? Is it going to be a trend to put your real name as a screen name now? Hey, you do you.
