Hopefully when the world doesn't end, blood doesn't rain from the sky, locusts don't spew forth from the earth, etc. and the worst that actually happens is that actually poor people just go to food banks or get charity instead, it will sew the seeds for the political will to just get rid of the program entirely. I don't care that the vast majority of cases of improper distribution of benefits is administrative errors rather than fraud, I don't care that trafficking (illegal sale of benefits in this context) is at nearly an all-time low, I don't care that it's one of the more efficient welfare programs and I don't care that it technically stimulates more economic activity than the program costs to implement.

I acknowledge all of those things are true, I just don't care. Philosophically, I don't want to live in a society where over 12% of the population doesn't know how to feed itself. Should we implement a federal program to wipe people's asses (Redistributive Economics To Assist Removing Doodoo or RETARD) and tie their shoes (Federal Assistance Regulating the Tying of Shoe Laces, Undertaken Together or FART SLUT), too?
 
I just don’t want children to suffer. I wish I could arrange to “meal adopt” a local kid.

Anyway, I think there are going to be a lot of “conservative” retards hurting that don’t even realize they get SNAP till the day it doesn’t come thru.

25% of the people needed it, usually young mothers often with their children very polite taking milk/eggs/rice ect.
40% nogs just loading up soda candy and shrimp.
The rest were various fent heads and tweakers of a variety of races who mostly just got candy
We had to literally kick out actual gypsies trying to steal a few times.

It's the same food you'd get at the store, and for us it was a local place that gave pallets of veggies/fruit, Walmart for junk/soda, trader joes would give us steaks but as with most government programs those went home with the employees. They gave us soon to expire shit as a tax write-off, it's a scheme honestly. We got 2 pallets of beast bars for example.

You could easily get obese just off what you could get there for free, no one is starving certainly.

So if you're a kiwi who needs shit find a food bank, ideally a state funded one with lots of waste who gets name brand shit for tax write-offs.

Yeah I do think there may be some charities to help bridge the gap in some places, you may only be able to get bare essentials like diapers and baby food but there should be just enough to last the shutdown. I think the Democrats may start caging within a week of the chimpouts when they realize people are blaming them for getting shanked at Wally world
 
I'm not in the best financial place myself but I am apparently well off enough to not even legally qualify anyways so.

We'll probably see some WorldStarHipHop Waffle House but nothing at the scale of Total Walmart Death during the Summer of Love.

Probably, I want to keep my expectations open to change.
 
The American reliance on EBT and food stamps confuses me. It’s a relic from the depression era when groceries were nearly 30% of household monthly budgets. It’s now 9.6%. I now live in the states, but lived most of my life in Canada. Surprisingly to most Americans, Canada has no equivalent. You have food pantries and food bank, all run via donations. Churches. You make do.

Food stamps only exist because poors and ghettos aren’t satisfied with the variety of foods they can purchase. Virtually no one would starve without food stamps. No one will die. I got my grocery spend down to $100/month back a few years ago when I was shit broke in grad school. What’s preventing them from doing the same?

No Marquishala, you can’t buy 8 flats of Pepsi this month. You can survive very cheaply off of just stock standard shit that’s at any store. The suggestion of hey, maybe we don’t pay people to buy junk food was met with indignation and outrage by groids. I can only imagine what’ll happen when food stamps get shitcanned altogether. In any case, the work boots, sunscreen, and books will be untouched I can assure you.
