In fast food, I'm thinking McDonald's and KFC. There could be price cuts of 20-30%, or more.
A lot of people don't realize but McDonalds publicly said as much that they deliberately increased the price of their slop as much as they could simply because they knew people would keep buying it.
"U.S.: Comparable sales results benefited from strategic menu price increases and positive guest counts"
TLDR: McDonalds didn't increase prices because of "inflation" or increased costs of doing business (labor, transportation etc) - they
deliberately and
strategically increased the price of menu items as much as possible. They're a for-profit business after all. It is highly likely that the electronic ordering kiosks allowed them to do this algorithmically and they basically
knew that people would keep buying their shit.
So your question about whether they'll cut prices is certainly a valid one but the increased prices were likely because every company realized during COVID that Americans as well as everyone else are fat, stupid and useless and will just keep buying their shitty burgers. This is a fact, just look at the retards on social media who go nuts for fucking McNuggets (objectively one of the worst quality food items that is mass produced on earth, that is served with shitty sugar sauce to placate fucking hideously stupid morons - no I will not be moved on this matter, if you like McNuggets then you are a McNigger).
Starbucks and many other companies did the exact same thing and why wouldn't they? These used to be
convenience restaurants but they know good and well that for a certain percentage of the population they're not even going to realize the prices have been creeping and they have no choice. Even if you dislike McDonalds or Starbucks it is almost impossible that you'll leave on account of the prices once you have entered their doors.
I'm saying all of this because McDonalds and fast food is an extremely poor example to look at in terms of inflation - yes there has been inflation around the world but McDonalds very deliberately did vast experimentation via algorithms to see how much they could get away with pushing up their prices - and retards kept buying it.
