At this point, even if Congress came back tomorrow and said "Good news! We got a deal and you'll all be getting your EBT after all. It's just gonna be a week late!" we'd still have chimpouts.

Well with American food banks being pushed to their limits by the shutdown I think we should let everyone know that the local Hindu temples have plenty of extra food to have out.

About time these leeches give something back to the communities they've been stealing from for years.

but it's not at all an indicator that a lot of the left wanted it. it's just an indicator that some people 60 years ago were still willing to cross the aisle. it was still a HUGE portion of democrats who were unwilling to do this in comparison to republicans. the reason for that is because they would have been the ones with ultimate power if FDR had taken control, so even THEN, there were already large groups of democrats who were perfectly happy to have a king as long as he did progressive things they liked. they were nowhere near the principled idealists that your statement implied. "democrats and republicans," were not in agreement. SOME democrats, and almost all republicans, were in agreement. Most democrats actually disagreed with the idea, but just enough broke ranks to make one of the best decisions they've ever made.

i never said it didn't overcome the hurdle, just that the framing was wrong.

I already have a girlcow chimping out over losing EBT (you gotta scroll down to the screenshot that says "SNAP might lose food benefits"). She starts suicide-baiting despite having a baby and pooner wife. In this post, she admits (as she has multiple times) that she and the pooner wife chose to have a baby specifically under the assumption that government handouts would keep coming in. She also talks about deliberately starving herself to make a point for the baby's survival. But actually, this mulatto lesbian comes from a well-off family, so they come through and she her family no longer has to starve.

Not many. Mostly white. And a large portion get food stamps and are government handouts. We will see white chimpouts there for sure and sadly, I think some retailers are going to be on the receiving end of increased theft and violence - and that’s not good.

we already did the math. the appalachian whites don't even account for ONE district in new york, let alone the dozen or more districts which encompass the bughive hellholes that are the biggest recipients of food stamps by an enormous margin. if you disagree, i encourage you to do the math yourself and show us all so we can see how many huwites are going to be involved. as it stands, 2 of the top 15 food stamp districts are white majority, and they're in extremely poor, extremely spread out communities where rioting wouldn't even be feasible.

based on my understanding here, it's massive majority democrat districts, filled with niggers and spics. the two major districts with white majorities that have high white food stamp populations are appalachian, which came up earlier in the thread.

the numbers show it; it's massively slanted toward niggers and spics on welfare, and almost all of them are in democrat strongholds. the only time republicans have high rates of welfare usage is in the literal poorest part of the country, and those people are not poor because of skin color, but because the government left coal mining towns to die for a huge chunk of time chasing after renewables and other pipe dreams.

I've never understood why the Goverment would fuck with them. Then I realized because they won't do anything to stop it, and thats why America is in the shape it's in.

Maybe one day we'll finally have a tipping point but I doubt it as millennials seem to be the generation with some work ethic left. Anything beyond that seems to be a lost cause.

Bipartisan doesn't mean literally everyone in both parties agrees with it. Often these kinds of deal are orchestrated behind closed doors, the proverbial "smoke-filled room." The party leadership of both parties has decided X is going to happen, but they'll pick who crosses aisles, so that party members in close elections can vote against it to keep their seats. "Horse trading" like this is just part of the dirty but necessary process of democracy.
