Nothing will happen. Neither party has the guts to actually cut the EBT. It will be another week of election season theatrics milking this crisis for all its worth, and then there will be some last minute emergency bill to keep the EBT funded.

401k began recovering Q1 of 2009 and fully recovered after 4 years, so you only lost your savings if you were dumb enough to panic sell for no good reason other than being a retard.

Wages today are much lower relative to cost of living, so it was much easier to save when your grandparents were working.

$5/hr had much higher purchasing power back then, and was equivalent to $28/hr today. The $20 that McDonald's niggers make today gets you far less than that $5 did back then. There's no reason why $5/hr in 1970 couldn't have led to sufficient retirement savings if they chose to keep a stable job and put away some money.

Why didn't your parents get health insurance as a cushion against financial ruination? And it was much cheaper relative to average income back then.

Why didn't inflation wipe out the savings of the majority of boomers who say they feel financially prepared for retirement?

This all sounds like excuses. I'm a millennial in this era of economic retardation and inflation and wage stagnation, making lower-middle class income, and my retirement savings are projected to grow to live comfortably by retirement age. If they had it much easier economically speaking and still have nothing in old age, they failed to make good decisions.

Actions have consequences.

If I still worked in a grocery store I would not want to be at work on Saturday. I haven't worked in a grocery store for at least 5 years but every time on the first of the month these stores would always do shit that would highly incentivize people on EBT to come in and shop for as much as possible. After all it was highly profitable for them to do so. They've been conditioned for this shit.

We're about to have riots everywhere on Saturday. Only they will be exclusive to wal-marts and other stores like it.

I was on EBT for like 4 months between jobs and holy crap they gave me nearly 300 a month. And I'm single. I can't say I wasted it on candy - more like salmon and avocados...

I don't have a knee jerk reaction to hating social welfare programs; look at places like china where they don't have a social safety net... it's hell. That said welfare leeches need to get kicked off and forced to work to pay the money back. There's too many low IQ low trust people out there taking advantage of a good idea.

And if Shaniqua loses a few pounds and has fewer kids, then we're all the better for it.

Depends entirely on how niggers (and darkies in general) will react to the shut-down; massive riots and looting (particularly in democrat-run cities) carried out by the usual suspects would be the dream scenario for the GOP as they can portray themselves the party of law-and-order while democrats will be forced to defend the chimpouts since they can't condemn their core voters.
