No clue. I got health insurance for me and my family from Uncle Sugar after they scraped me up with a spatula and I spent 2 months in Walter Reed.

I'm white as snow and maybe it's just a small sample size thing, but I couldn't tell you the last time I or anyone else I know had soup to my knowledge. Especially with the current fad diet being the carnivore diet (which admittedly I think is stupid as hell because that's a good way to end up with clogged arteries), which doesn't really allow for soups and things like that. I think it's partially because it's so hot in my neck of the woods, we only get a few months of cool weather.

No video, but I just had an interesting experience at the grocery store earlier:

I am at the local store grabbing a few things, and I stop to look at some sale item in the store. Some obese, dark brown Hispanic woman comes up to me with a full cart and asks me to buy her groceries for her. I am genuinely flabbergasted, because usually beggars at least have the good nature to wait outside of the store to harass you, but then I realize she is serious and genuinely thought some random dude would buy her cart full of groceries for her. I tell her something to the effect of "go beg somewhere else, you fucking parasite", and the bitch gives me attitude like I inconvenienced her by not immediately buying her a cart full of groceries just because she asked me to spend a few hundred dollars feeding some fat stranger. God damnit, at least send the skinny member of your family to beg for free food rather than the 300+ pound, 5' tall ogress that could afford to go half a year without a meal and still be fat.

Do you know if she wanted cash? This happened to me a year or two ago. Fat spic bitch in a motorized scooter wheeled over to my husband and I in the grocery store and handed him an index card written on and covered in tape, in broken english asking for us to pay for her groceries. My husband more or less told her to fuck off politely and she gives us a hateful stare and wheels away. I found out later on this woman was working with a man and they go around asking for cash to pay for groceries, and get angry when people try to pay for them with card. They just want to pocket the cash and if they get it they abandon the cart full of food and move on.

What the fuck. I just had my first encounter with the EBT effect. For reference this is in a minority majority area and a few hours before closing so the place was still busy. There were less fat people (it's really noticeable here), it was quieter, and the receipt checker was completely absent.
Anecdotally it felt like the average skin tone was lighter but I was keeping an eye out for that so it might not be the case. Regardless, I want more of the former. Good stuff.

Serious post time at JimJam. I basically had to use Autism Pill/Naxopren combination to deal with a toothache until I could get a root canal this year. I probably would been able to get Vicodin before this mess.

How do you get cash back?!? Are you on EBT cash as well as food? In that case it's allowed. So is it really that easy to get money out of the cash register with SNAP?! In big box stores?

How did you manage to get cash back?

I always used self-checkout and the machine asks you if you want cash back when you finish your transaction. I don't know why it allowed it since the machines won't let you use the EBT on non-qualified purchases if you try to scan them in. Pretty sure this was EBT food only. This was a few years ago at a major grocer in my area, don't know how universal it is.

Yeah before Purdue and all the other companies that made pain pills got sued back into the stone age, fucking hospitals would just give you a vicodin or percocet prescription on top of everything else even when you didn't ask.
It was like a fucking a la carte entree that came with whatever you were there for lmao. Now the pendulum has swung too far the other way, you basically have to go in there with a snapped forearm that's only hanging on by the skin to get 2 vicodin and a pat on the back.

I remember those days. I always just refused them, save for a couple times when they were justified. And yeah my hospital is the same way now, unless you've got severe physical trauma or are post-op they will not hand out painkillers, which is honestly the way it should be. painkillers are meant for preventing shock, and abating acute debilitating pain. If the pain doesn't make you fall to your knees in agony, you don't need narcotics, take some ibuprofen and tough it the fuck out. And if it's chronic pain you need to treat the cause not just mask the symptom, especially with something that's highly addictive and will rot your liver if taken habitually.

It ends up being like penicillin, if you take too much as a kid it doesn't work on you anymore. That being said, tism pills work best for me with tooth pain. When I had to get the four in the back pulled, I could take a 500mg paracetamol and be good to go.

Went to my local kroger and saw a walking stereotype. Black women with 3 kids in the cereal section bitching about receiving no stamps. Now, what does this person buy? Cart is filled with boxed cake mix, cornstarch, boxes of overpriced name brand cereal, eggs(She went for the least efficient option for eggs, bought a 12 ct instead of a 18 ct), and milk( once again, went the least efficient route with a half gallon instead of a full gallon). Women could have easily stretched her money farther by buying some oats or cream of wheat, brown sugar, and a gallon of milk instead of overpriced cereal slop.

She didn't specify, probably because I didn't let her get to that point, but that might have been what her angle was. That didn't even occur to me, since that behavior is so scummy and alien; I just assumed it must be related to the temporary disruption in gibs.
