Since he thinks he's more handsome thant bacon man and el Zorro plushie I'm gonna say his ego is still the same.

I thought he had deflated a bit with all the depressing stuff he's been through recently but apparently not.

Eh, he still holds some of the same opinions, but not all of them.

Well, not really, from his perspective. Chris thinks that everyone in the world knows who he is, and that no one is bigger than he is. He's tried to summon A-list celebrities, major multinational corporations, the FBI, several United States presidents... all to either answer to him for something or to do his bidding. Attacking a voice actress and a shitty hasbeen cable network isn't really stepping outside the box.

I'd say his ego took a hit in the recent years, but he's still an egotistical fuck

- Sonichu sucked in part because he ad-libbed it

To me, thats one of Chris biggest problems (The "in part" bit)...

He needs to realize that Sonichu:

-Was a retarded and uncreative idea from the very beginning

-That he cant draw for shit*

-That he could NEVER, IN NO FUCKING WAY, make profit out of it, not only because its terrible, but because Nintendo and Sega would never allow it.

-That sonichu NEVER had any real fans (Trolls did a good job making him believe that, his naivety did the rest)

If he somehow grows up to understand this, it would be a big step forward to him, but that day will never come and his head will always be firmly stuck on his ass.

*I have the theory that Chris could probably draw at least halfway decently if he learned some technique, used proper materials, and made some effort. But sadly, as he thinks everything he makes his perfect just because he did it, he sees no difference between this or this, and this fucking shit (not drawings, I know, but for examples of shitty drawings you can pick any sonichu issue randomly)

To him all that stuff is probably at the same level, he has absolutely no autocritic sense, thats why is ego is so inflated.

Considering the fact that he's become disillusioned to some of the things mentioned in the topic, you'd think his ego would have gone down. However, in light of the newfound (newish anyway) persecution complex, it about balances out.

Don't forget God, Jesus AND the Bear!

Eh, not all big companies care about fan work as much as you think. If he got really big, sure, they might care, but it doesn't look good for some big company to be suing shitty fan artists.

Well, no, Sonichu did have at least one genuine fan. Someone who legitimately enjoyed it for the plot. Then he made fun of her mental problems.

Plus, I guess if you consider that the people who read it because it was so shitty it was funny aren't fans, then yeah, he didn't have too many fans. But I think there are a lot of people out there who actually enjoyed Sonichu. Maybe not for the reasons Chris would've liked, but I would still refer to them as fans.

He might learn some of these things. Maybe not.

I wonder who Chris is going to comment to next. From Obama and Nintendo to MTV and Tara Strong, I will love to see what's next.

Yeah, I know, but remember that Chris wanted to make pretty much an empire out of Sonichu...videogames, comics on Marvel, Dc or Darkhorse, and all kind of merchandise...of course, even if he had a billion dollar idea he just wouldnt KNOW WHERE TA GO!

And actually, Sega are quite the dicks about this stuff...I know one of the main guys involved on this amazing Streets of Rage remake/compilation

With the game in a very promising beta state, they asked Sega if it was ok for them to continue this (freeware) fangame and they said "sure, whatever, it looks nice, go on!"

Then, after 8 years of hard work, they released the game, and it kicked so much ass that Sega threatened legal action and made them take it down so they could continue to sell old-ass Genesis roms on Xbox Live while the SoR ip rots...(I mean, I can understand Sega's position, but they shouldnt have give them permission in the first place...)

Heh, well yeah, from that point of view I'd consider myself a "fan" of Sonichu too, I was talking about HONEST FANBASE

True, I forgot this "Sonichuizcool" girl (His only fan, but sadly, also a "window to hell" to Chris...)

Heh, well there's a difference between what Chris would want to do with Sonichu and what he'd actually be able to do. The most Chris would probably be successful at would be to put up a Sonichu site somewhere and maybe make a few bucks off of adsense or something. And I don't think anyone would notice or care about that.

But yeah, wow, that's pretty faggy of Sega about that Streets of Rage game.

The more life kicks him down, the greater Chris's ego becomes. His egotism isn't the result of success, it's the barrier he builds to hide himself from reality. When you find him in 5 years, dying under an overpass, he'll be more egotistical than ever before.

It's indestructible. (:_(

Brother, Chris's ego may have gone down a bit, but it is so huge that it losing a few pounds means it is still morbidly obese. Just like the manchild, brother!

I thought it may have gone down a bit, but yeah, his ego is still way too big for a guy who lives with his elderly mom, soils himself and gets welfare.

He may just be engaging Tara Strong and the trolls at MTV because it at least gives him something to do. Like I said on another thread, bad attention is better than no attention at all.

This is a very common public stereotype of Chris, but it's incorrect. Chris isn't doing things for attention or anything like that. He knows that that is where is trolling comes from and he hates it very much.

I see.

It's just that a lot of what he does seems to be begging for attention, like posting a note on a popular station's wall for other people to comment on.

He knows he should ignore trolls and keep a low profile (and at times seems to do that rather well), but he doesn't always do it.

Edit: what NIA-DOA says below makes perfect sense.

So basically what you're saying, Marvin, is that Chris truly wishes to confront Strong and MTV but with his inability to directly contact them, he hopes that by writing statuses he will be able to get his message across?

Chris makes a lot of other posts in general and few of them are public.

He's more stupid than you'd really think. Like, Chris couldn't tell that guy on the show was being sarcastic when he said he'd date Chris, or Chris couldn't tell that that girl didn't actually want to have Chris arrested because of his couch. This is too subtle for him. He doesn't understand that he has a forum that is so interested in him that they would be very interested in even the tiniest bit of content he'd make (this post). Plus, in this case, he's threatening a lawsuit, so even if he did understand he had to avoid the limelight, he could possibly get money.

That's consistent with him...in his old youtube days he used to just made a video "adressed" to whatever company/celebrity, and expected it to magically reach his intended viewers.

This, plus he didn't just make a generic status on his facebook. He left a status on the mtvfailosophy facebook page. I think it's the official one, at least.
