Elden Ring has this fucking Tranny Janny Body type A/B instead of male or female, so I ended up playing a dishwasher
 
I'm both upset and confused at how you are supposed to get the mount, some say you need to rest at x bonfire, others that you need to find and rest at three bonfires. I did the latter and got nothing, closed the game and went to do something else after that. When I booted the game again and rested at a bonfire I immediately got it, thought it was just me until I read a guy who beat several bosses without even unlocking the ability to level up, and another who got around six bonfires but never triggered the cutscene.
Gotta say it's pretty fucking stupid to lock such a vital feature such as leveling up behind some cutscene with vague requirements to trigger, the whole time I thought I would have to beat a boss before I would be allowed to level up.

Anyways, other than that the game is alright, runs "fine" on my pc, some slowdowns when loading new areas but nothing that makes it unplayable so far. Got stuck at and decided to stop there.
 
Played it a bit before going to sleep yesterday. Just got past the tutorial area. Performance is not the best for me. Admittedly my CPU is slightly below recommended settings but the game stutters a bit and FPS drops from time to time even on the lowest graphics. I've seen some possible solutions to the issues on the internet. Will try to play around it a bit when I return from work. If it doesn't work, i'll wait for my CE for PS5 to arrive next week to not ruin the experience for myself.

Somehow, a game mixed up from a completely different genre (dark fantasy) does a far better job at upholding Tolkien's legacy than the current Middle Earth games and Amazon's abortion project. This appeases and demoralizes me at the same time.
 
Framerate is kinda hitchy on PS5 all the time, no matter what's going on. Just feels like the typical From jank I'm used to but it still doesn't make much sense.

Finally beat the first shardbearer dickhead so now I can sleep. Patch it before I wake up ok

All four characters I ran so far have gotten in the same spot, resting at the Site of Grace in front of Stormgate. Its that place after the church with the guy selling stuff. You got a Ruins with a bunch of Infantry in it and after the grace is a Giant on a land bridge waiting to drop with a bunch of crossbows.

I wonder if it's possible to mod the game to fix this clear oversight.

If so, someone should put one up on Nexus with just a barebones "what it does" description, no disclaimers, and no forum moderation and see how quickly the seething starts.
 
Body a and body b but they don't tell you which one is which. You can tell some dopey c suite executive came up with that one.

Dude, same thing here. I thought I was going crazy because I looked it up and rested at the bonfire you're supposed to go to for the maiden to appear and get the steed and it still didn't happen. I explored and entered another nearby dungeon, killed a boss, and went back to that bonfire and the cut scene finally triggered.

I am enjoying it and even on low spec it looks good. My framerate dips when it's raining or it gets too chaotic.

Yeah I got it there and so did one of the guys who didn't get the horse until I told him, the bizarre thing is that I rested there but didn't trigger the cutscene the first time around.


Edit: well bruno's post confirms once again that I am not going insane.

So far I killed the giant in stormgate and an optional beastman boss, gotta say the reward of the latter disappointed me. Now I am gonna try fight the first boss again and likely get my ass kicked.

I wonder if it had anything to do with Online vs Offline. After the tutorial area the first time I just went to Offline mode too many spam messages and crap. So maybe that's why its so consistent for me and not for others?
 
Loving it so far but I gotta call bullshit on Skillup and some of the other reviews on performance. It's not a CP2077 situation but I have no idea how these guys are claiming steady 60 fps with no stutters or frame drops.
