For Samurai, should I go for Dex/Int with STR for the weapons requirements?
Or should I just go Dex and Vigor then respec?

I'm pretty sure all the starting armor sets can be bought (most from hermit merchants), I know the confessor set is from a hermit merchant in Mt Gelmir. In the previous Dark Souls games you could get the starting equipment for the classes you didn't pick strewn around the first couple areas but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Can I find and buy the Samurai armor and confessor's set somewhere if I started as a hero or are they exclusive and not found in the game world if you don't pick that class?
You find a bunch of cool stuff and content later on. I would say this game is definitely not frontloaded at all, but I may be blinded by the fact that I love souls games. Is Lengrave indicative of the content density in later areas, or is it a very front loaded experience?
Because a couple short detours aside I've spent three days in Lengrave and the Stormveil Castle. I can't get over how fucking *full* the game is.
Anyone know what the fuck is going on story wise? I got the gist of it, but I still have a bunch of questions like
- What the fuck happened to Miquella and what is Mohg trying to do with him?
- What is the deal with Malenia's Scarlet Rot?
- I have no clue about the whole Godfrey/Hoarah Lux thing, also don't know why he's got a Stand
- Are Radagon and Marika the same person? How the hell did that work, I thought Radagon dumped Rennala's ass to be with Marika.
- What the hell is the Golden Order?
- Whats the deal with the Three Fingers and the Frenzied Flame? Is it Ay Lmaos?
You believe in physical media? Get with the times old man.Just bought the game, gotta wait for the Amazon delivery to consoom Elden Ring
Confessor set at a vendor up some ladders on the way to Full-Grown Fellstar on Mt. Most places are like that; some areas that you pass through to get to others are less so but still have a lot, and you get access to them at the same time. So it's not like there's X things per named area, but I'd say it's about evenly dense throughout. Is Lengrave indicative of the content density in later areas, or is it a very front loaded experience?
They'll never admit any of this vague shit but I'm about a hundred percent sure it ties Bloodborne into Souls at this point. There's too much crossover, from enemy designs to lore points and even landmarks that are consistently associated with each other in the same ways they were in that game for it to not be intentional.I wonder if they're planning to tie this into Bloodborne. A lot of npcs wear the bandage blindfolds from that game and I've seen both fields of lumenflowers and what really looks like Yarnam in the distance.
It's probably just From re using assets but that would be cool.
Well there is the Winged Scythe, it has faith scaling and its Weapon Arte is useful in PvP since it stops healing. The problem with the Scythe is it can't take any Ashes or be buffed with Armament spells/items and it doesn't do too hot against armored targets. The upgrade stones can be a pain to get since it uses Somber stones. This seems to be a main problem with weapons with innate faith scaling is they take the Somber stones for upgrades and you can't buff them in anyway. Is there any good faith scaling sword that does decent physical damage, one that isn't a weeb sword by any chance?
Not sure yet but so far a large number of bosses seem to be susceptible to Bleed. Basically if it looks alive it will bleed if its a construct probably not. How's an arcane/dex build?
Margit is a bit of a beefgate boss early on, which is why following the proverbial yellow brick road is not such a good idea; Fextralife has a nice little game progress route in their guides section that can help you not blunder into areas that are too difficult for your character level early on.The first two days I wasn't having fun and getting very frustrated due to margit styling on me and wandering into high level areas. Afterwards I stumbled upon the weeping peninsula and found Irina, went straight to castle morne and despite finding the place to be a dark souls 2 tier enemy spam clusterfuck, I could at least kill the boss which to my chagring gave me a str weapon I couldn't wield.
Afterwards I kept exploring the peninsula and then carried on exploring limgrave, was surprised at how many dungeons I had missed. Did a bit of exploration in limgrave east and even found a lift to the hollow earth section, found the enemies to have too much hp to my liking but it was manageable, I managed to explore quite a bit there and even managed to kill the ancient spirit. Ovetall a very beautiful area.
Yesterday I decided to go kill margit and while it took me using the shackles and summons I finally did it thanks to one incantation I found in weeping peninsula. Today I kept exploring the castle and I had a blast, the area feels just like a dark souls 1 or 3 area, full of secret and alternate paths, I was blasted away with all the stuff I found before every goong to the boss.
Firsdly, fug yoo for sendings me indo teh toxicc murdderr cabe. : DDDI recommend anyone to get the Gold Scarab. It’ll give you 20% more runes and now I’m level 58.
I respecced into a sorcerer with 60 INT and 10 Vitality like a retard with my last Larval Tear. Had to go on a wild goose chase to hunt one down to make the game playable again. I really hope they aren't finite. After the second main boss you can respec for basically free with consumables the game gives out like candy. I have 11 of them from just walking around and there's more in vendors. So go Deprived for max versatility (can't respec below base stats) if you really gotta but you can do anything in a single run.
