If steam ever tells you that your cloud files aren't synced, you should click the option to upload the newest one. For some reason the steam cloud occasionally just doesn't save your progress, I had 2 friends who weren't reading click download and it downloaded an older version of their saves.

So I take back what I said about Radahn. Took me a fair amount of tries on my second play through int/dex run. I am rushing Moonlight Greatsword so I have to do him earlier then I would normally.

My strat on this run ended up being just rush him on my horse after summoning and stay on his ass while I slash with a bleed weapon. When I killed him he was at 10% health when he transitioned to phase 2 and I never got hit, felt really RNG.

I think it's situational, and probably Mimic is fairly build-dependent, but others still get use from me. Like the Jellyfish is good for keeping aggro on mobile/teleporting bosses, and I haven't beaten Malenia yet but Black Knife Tiche seems to do best against her since he seems to have similar AI but hits faster, staggers her, and fucks with her health bar.
Some of em could do with more health though. Omenkiller Rollo seems like he should be useful but goes down way too fast.
I used the skeleton lancers for around 60% of the game. They stop being useful when pretty much every boss starts having bullshit area wide attacks.

Also I kinda like Radhan fight, having multiple allies bunch up is pretty neat, even if they are purely there to draw aggro. By now every boss starts feeling like a dps check, since I'd usually die by getting hit by a billion hit combos way before I run out of potions.

Beat Ulcerated Tree Spirit. I did not like this fight. I felt like I wasn't in control at all, and was 100% at the mercy of what the game considered hurtboxes on the boss. Felt like I was handed a victory after smashing my head against the wall, not that I earned it.

Same. The way to beat that boss is just go in there, stay close to the body, mash M1 and hope for the best. When it gets on a wall just dodge as best as you can.

Level 30ish now, still haven't a fucking clue what the actual plot of the game is, 10/10.
Also level 30, same hat, but my god I’m having fun with it. Admittedly I’ve barely done anything with any of the actual storyline, exploring and finding random shit is so much more alluring to me. I’m very early still because I suck and have spent a lot of time grinding, but the other day rose south and found a walking landmass with a church(?) and ringing bell on it. Fucking fantastic. Unfortunately poorly estimated the jump and fell to my death trying to check it out but coming around the corner to this was so fucking cool.

This game has reminded I'm too old to play video games. I'm not skilled enough for this shit.

To each their own but I strongly disagree on both points. This is probably the best open world in an rpg I've ever played, you can't go ten feet without encountering something that's weird as hell also the atmosphere is seems more horror inspired than traditional high fantasy.
The difficulty might be a bit of a wall for me, but I really like the tone and aesthetic. Getting apocalyptic Norse vibes from a lot of the scenery in the game. The red swamp zone looks like a hellish wasteland.

His feet rotted off because of the, well, rot. I've read speculation he uses gravity magic so he can keep riding his horse, but I haven't read anything in-game that confirms it.
From the description of Remembrance of the Starscourge:
Remembrance of Starscourge Radahn, hewn into the Erdtree.

The power of its namesake can be unlocked by the Finger Reader.
Alternatively, it can be used to gain a great bounty of runes.

The Red Lion General wielded gravitational powers which he learned in Selia during his younger days. All so he would never have to abandon his beloved but scrawny steed.

Radahn was a true chad, R.I.P

Finally made it to Stormveil Castle but the knights are beating my ass. Turns out my weapons are kinda under-leveled, so for now I'm searching around for more smithing stones.

Search the north part of the lake in Limgrave. Mines are a big source of stones in every area.

Also everyone please enjoy some western developer salt.

The slant eyed tribe wins again. Also "bad graphics" wut, I can't name any Ubisoft game that looks as good as Elden Ring does.

Those are some sour grapes.

I've never seen a boss create so much salt. Who else got their shit pushed in by Malenia?

Just defeated Radahn, I did not like his fight. A single hit from any of his attacks causes you to fall from your horse and it takes 10 full seconds for you to be able to even dodge. That's if he doesn't instantly kill you.
That entire fight was just infuriating. If you're having trouble with it, here's my advice:
Use the summons, they work even when you're on the horse. They're endless and you can resummon dead characters.
Use the horse, there is a way to almost never get hit by using it. First, wait for Radahn's combo to end and attack him once, doesn't matter if it's a strong or quick attack, then stay close to him so you can dodge his first swing, don't switch directions or run backwards or you're going to get hit and die, then literally jump away from his range. I think all of his sideways swings can be dodged by jumping with the horse. Also, if he throws those purple orbs at you, just smash the roll button as fast as you can.
Use the environment to your advantage. The only way you can reliably dodge his bullshit magic rock throwing attack is by hiding behind the dunes of sand. Remember they take about 3 combos to be launched and he runs away before that.
