Its even worse when you realize they don't even do 90% of the work. They have discord channels full of idiots who pay for patreon to be there, that actually do all the work of putting all the info found on the internet together.
So these types are too fucking lazy to just scroll through the reddit subs themselves? Truly Impressive

You motherfuckers told me that it was just Fromsoft being mysterious to create intrigue around the DLC.

Here we are nearly an entire year later (with the Dorito Pope awards having just past) and we still dont have answers to anything listed above.
It's in development hell evidently. There's no way it should have taken this long to launch.

Vaati has always been a shifty cunt.

I feel a bit disappointed playing the other fromsoft games for the first time after beating Elden Ring recently. The game absolutely blew me away while playing it, and even moreso now comparing it to the other titles.

They all have their own "flair". Out of curiosity, what are you playing? Dark Souls 1? Bloodborne? Dark Souls 3?

This has basically been every single video this wannabe machinima faggot has done since day one. He's a glorified TTS of a reddit theory post/thread grifting on the hardwork of the devs to make an easy as fuck living, then having actually talented artists do work for him for retarded shit like fanart books and those gay as fuck metal posters.
Give me the hats, cause I cannot fucking stand vaati.
He originally got famous for the Prepare to Cry series that was nice for people like me who didn't use a guide in the first runs so we missed out on quests (especially when those quests had multiple endings or required you to beat bosses with summons). But with ER, he and other loretubers basically completely disregard the actual characters and just try to fart out the most ridiculous "epic" lore video when the truth of the matter is that, like GoT, the background is a bad ripoff of better works, with awful scale (I still can't get over the fact it's been 2000 years since the shattering).

I played DS 1,2,3 and Bloodbourne. I enjoyed all of them for the most part, just didn't get the same whimsical feeling from any of them. I'm not sure exactly what they were missing for me

Hey they added jump being a single button instead of having to press it whilst running (It was the same button you have to hold to run) though I felt as if there were more moves that punished you for jumping over them rather than roll spam.
The most use I got out of jumping was to spam jump attacks with heavy weapons. Sekiro made much better use of jumping as a mechanic but that's hardly a controversial take. I would do some questionable things for more Sekiro.

An open world is what they were missing, most likely. That or the simple fact that basically everything those games offered was done again in elden ring so nothing they had felt new or unique by the time you got around to them.

The Bloodborne crowd found out that Vaati was just copying per verbatim the lore that was pieced in a short fan book called Paleblood Hunt, which did the lore thing before he did so yes, do not trust the cunt.

And then vaatis army of dick riders basically bullied the fuck out the PBH dude while vaati was also doing the whole "we're both working with the same amount of info and sources so of course our ideas are similar", despite the fact people used plagiarism checkers to show that something like 90% of vaatis shit was exactly the same right down to word choice and placement, and the paleblood guy pretty much just said "fuck it, I'm done" and stopped doing shit. Coincidentally it was after that, that vaati started naming/crediting people who's theories and "discoveries" he'd use for his videos. Untrustworthy indeed.

It's shit like that why the only people I've ever put any amount of stock into was people like AGermanSpy, because he actually worked on the guides for a couple of the games, and.. what was his name. EpicNameBro? Because he was doing lore shit well before it became popular.

Is Zullie the Witch a tranny? My experience with content creators who refer to themselves as female in their user name is they are always either trannies or, more rarely, deeply autistic women.
IIRC, Zullie first appeared in /desg/ (rip) fight clubs for ds2. Then he did some datamining for dark souls 2 DLC and got semi-popular because of it. I don’t think he ever claimed to be a woman, just keeps the same persona

A couple other points that bear mentioning:
ENB and AGermanSpy authored the official BB (and DS2 iirc) guide(s). As far as OG loretubers, ENB was the first. The most Vaati can claim to have on that was trying to sell the Internet Salt & Sanctuary.
I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not but ENB either married a Japanese woman or moved to Japan after getting married, where his wife had a miscarriage. This all happened right around when BB came out. As you're aware, miscarriage is a central theme of BB and this caused him to have a massive breakdown and his uploads more or less ceased after that. He might have done one or two things for DS3 but his brand was already dead.
The PBH debacle happened right after ENB disappeared. If ENB was still regularly making content, there's a good chance that Vaati's career would have ended then and there but there was noone to fill the loretuber kingpin gap besides his ass.

I used to roll in those circles going all the way back to 2012. I don't remember him being there but that's good to know.

Oh yeah I remember that, regarding ENB. I seem to recall he was also kinda bitter over the souls series as a whole after that and, like you said, only did a couple things for DS3 but just didn't care anymore. Which is pretty understandable. I think people were also being shitheads to him around that time too for whatever reason.

I didn't even know the PBH author got bullied out of the internet. This is sad news.

Wow, the coincidence is all too shocking and timing too.

With talk about lore videos and hacks like Vaati, I searched to see if anyone had mentioned The Tarnished Archaeologist. I could only find 1 mention of him from a year ago which is shame as I think he does a really compelling job of linking the real world with the in-game world. Like in this video he talks about the Two & Three Fingers in game while looking at The Great Schism and later The Raskol and the disagreements over making the sign of the cross with 2 or 3 fingers. At the very least, I find it good 2nd monitor content.

As long as I get a chance to kill that bitch Ranni in the DLC, I'll be happy.
Go take a thousand year voyage under the wisdom of the moon

Vaati's job is to clutch at straws and make stories out of them. I don't know why everyone is in a twist over him in this thread. It's just entertainment
