I don't really see an issue with a $40 dlc if it provides another ~60+ hours of content, but at the same time that's really never been the case for previous FROM DLCs. I guess if the long wait was because they're making something around the same scale as the Lands Between, there's good reason for the wait and the cost.

But that'll remain to be seen - and I still remember how ER had shit performance on launch, so waiting a week or two until after it drops seems like the play anyways.
 
Maybe it is problem with my phone, but it was pretty hard to understand what were characters saying .
Anyway.
Messmer the Impaler lol sounds like some edgy teenagers user name.
 
Miyazaki says the DLC is as big or a little bigger than Limgrave

Multiple (meaning 2 probably) big legacy dungeons and multiple (meaning 2 probably) small to medium legacy dungeons

Wouldn't be surprised if there's underground areas like in base game that makes the whole thing like 1.5 Limgraves or something

I'll buy it cus I'm not poor lol

Not saying it ain't hype, but do temper your expectations since it may be an ash of war instead of a proper bone fist, hopefully it will be both.

I was also thinking pre pact Rykard, seems unlikely but definitely has to have some relation. Though being a redhead is a big tell that he has to be linked to Radagon. Maybe he was a third child of Marika and Radagon selfcest but was seduced by the fires of madness and expunged from the record?

Well, Limgrave was one of the best areas, but size doesn't really mean much when you can cross from point to point in minutes on Torrent. Area needs to be fucking dense and I very much hope there is an underground area like you suggested and I'm also hoping for some random shit in the sky. And please oh please, have some sort of eldritch nightmare appear.
 
One) Happy that we get a new fist ash of war/fist weapon

Two) Hope flails and whips get some love

I kind of thought it's Miquella but due to Mohg's and the Formless Mother's influence, considering snakes are kind of her thing.

Limegrave is pretty tiny. Not sure that's worth 40.

Could be that as well, that Mesmer is like a title change or what have you. and Mesmer seems like a shortening of mesmerize which could be kind of linked to dreams if you squint hard enough and we go with the whole Miquella = Saint Trina thing. I only know I'll stab the fuck out of him and figure out hours later who he was.

Goes back to density. I mean, in the area of Limgrave you have all of Dark Souls 1. If it's open areas with a few mobs and 2 mid sized legacy dungeons, it would be very disappointing for example. But if There are 2 big boy dungeons with a few bosses each, 2 other hidden mid sized dungeons and a couple of mausoleums it's suddenly getting some girth to it. Hopefully they can also add something that makes traversal interesting more than once, but I know that's a big ask for an open world game.

As for other hopes. I want bosses that involve Torrent and want a proper jousting lance weapon.

Then again, people knew about the bone fist moveset before whatever DS2 dlc it came with dropped. They might've done the same thing people did back then and just used the bare fist as a placeholder.

The interview claims the area is dense.
 
You just know that Miquella’s gonna have his 3D model ripped from the game and used for rule 34 XD

I'm mainly concerned about how this impacts the PVP of the game.
 
My guess is that they might’ve merged scraped ideas into this. Miquella supposedly had some dream magic, so I guess the DLC is waking him up and his disgusting Formless Mother influenced form will be the final boss.

I think it’ll probably be islands of Miquella recalling the events of the Shattering (the game wanted to be during the War) and likely we’re basically playing as Malenia within Miquella’s dreams up until he gets captured. My guess is that eventually those Blood thorn niggers will start corrupting the Dream. Ashes of Areindal kind of did this with the maggots being flies in the real world manifesting as giant maggots in that world.
Probably some Bloodborne influence to with certain Demi-gods only being Dead in part of existence.

Miyazaki seems to have confirmed Messmer is Marika's son in the Famitsu interview.
