That doesn't do shit without the kos parasite equipped, just like the beast rune with the claws, right? There's also the Lumenwood Covenant/Rune thingy if you want to count bloodborne.

Yeah but it's the closest thing I could think of.That doesn't do shit without the kos parasite equipped, just like the beast rune with the claws, right?
That's footage from a mod, not the DLC.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsrCouG-Nzs Here's some footage of Malenia from the DLC. finally, looks like she gonna be a challenge for my epic gamer skills
They'll never answer it, it's basically a way to make the main love interest in the game a dindu.Did Marika have something to do with Ranni killing Godwyn?
Just some god. What is the Greater Will?
Just some standard Ghibli esque corruption. What the fuck is Deathblight?
It's just a placeholder for the time before. What is the Crucible and how does it connect to Misbegotten/ Omens?
Just extremely basic opposition for the golden order that were taken care of before the game. What’s up with the Dragon Lord and the Giant Fire God?
It's basically Godwyn 2.0, being incorruptible too good for the earth. The only thing that might change in the DLC is him being discovered to be secretly evil or a full on "according to keiaku"Miquella as a whole
Theoretically, it could of been a weapon worn over whatever armor you had equipped, but I don't think they were really wanting to do that. For our character to actually wear this, they'd need to amputate their leg.
Marika and Ranni were co-conspirators in Godwyn's death.Did Marika have something to do with Ranni killing Godwyn?
You talk like a fag and your shit's all retarded. They'll never answer it, it's basically a way to make the main love interest in the game a dindu.

I’m hoping it’s a DLC like Artorias was where they answer questions, but it’s mostly the fun of people piecing together esoteric bullshit. There’s always cut content in these games and mistranslations, but it’s fun to try to get a handle of the motivations of characters. They'll never answer it, it's basically a way to make the main love interest in the game a dindu.

I wish people cared about the actual characters in the game rather than GRRM's OC donut steel Nordic pantheon. Godywyn himself is just Baldr, except instead of being immune to all things, GRRM added the rune of death which is a giant plot hole and makes no sense. It is doubly weird because the whole death blight is reminiscent of a mistletoe, like the original plot was having the mistletoe being used to kill him and then the two becoming a corrupted plant man curse.I’m hoping it’s a DLC like Artorias was where they answer questions, but it’s mostly the fun of people piecing together esoteric bullshit. He’s worse than the Michael Jackson fantasy twink. I’m pretty sure death blight is actually just an STD he got from a Dragon.
That is one thing that people don't really acknowledge, the Golden Order did bring order to the land. I think it's mostly redditors that really carry the whole "Golden Order bad!" line of thinking. In general, the whole fight against the Greater Will doesn't make sense in that I'm not sure if it's even a malevolent entity. Unless you go with the bland "all gods are evil", it looks like it made a pretty good place to live (barring Mutants) and every other god in unquestionably worse.
I can sympathize with people who give up on the Malenia fight. When I beat her fairly I did so in a way that felt really boring and unenjoyable, almost to the point that I might as well have been cheating, honestly. Blasphemous Blade weapon art spam and summoning the Black Knife Tiche worked but it wasn't a very satisfying victory.I never understood why people were afraid of Malenia that much.
It took me several tries, to figure her patterns, but I managed to beat her.
Why never even try?

The idea that I've heard is that the Greater Will eats people's souls when they die, hence why people view it negatively. I have no idea if this is true or not, and I'd side with Ranni regardless, but it seems more plausible to me that all the deities in the setting are bad in some way rather than all but one of them are bad. That is one thing that people don't really acknowledge, the Golden Order did bring order to the land. We know the Rot God sealed underground isn't good, I'm pretty sure, I think. The Frenzy Flame is pretty dumb when you think about it and short-sighted, The Formless Mother sure doesn't come across as pleasant, or even benign. The serpent that ate Rykard wants to devour the world so it's not really what one might call 'good'. The Gloam-Eyed Queen seems neutral enough, though her followers making clothes out of skinned gods might not be terribly... nice, for lack of a better word. No idea about the Blood Star or the Twin-Headed Deathbird god.
People will like what they like.I wish people cared about the actual characters in the game rather than GRRM's OC donut steel Nordic pantheon. Again, this is entirely philosophical. Perfect order is perfect stagnation. That is one thing that people don't really acknowledge, the Golden Order did bring order to the land. I think it's mostly redditors that really carry the whole "Golden Order bad!" line of thinking.
If you devised your own build and played your own way, then it should not matter how you achieve victory. You were given tools and you picked those tools yourself and used them appropriately to overcome a challenge.I can sympathize with people who give up on the Malenia fight. When I beat her fairly I did so in a way that felt really boring and unenjoyable, almost to the point that I might as well have been cheating, honestly. Blasphemous Blade weapon art spam and summoning the Black Knife Tiche worked but it wasn't a very satisfying victory.
Honestly I'm firmly of the opinion that Malenia needs a nerf of some sort, alter waterfowl dance so it's easier to dodge/interrupt and/or make it so she no longer heals herself when you completely block her attack(s). Really, the fight just sucks as it is now.
I simply don't agree with the sentiment that the Golden Order was a net negative, as in the beginning it brought order to the land and did allow for different and opposing views and philosophies to exist within it. I also don't disagree that the current Order is stagnating. One might even say, decaying. Shambling along like an undead corpse. The Order's decay started with the death of Godwyn, and things just got worse from there.I don't believe it's a coincidence that the Golden Order paved the way for such a deplorable state of that game world.
I don't know what redditors think, because I don't go there, but I personally view the Golden Order in it's current iteration as something very insidious. This is why my canon ending is The Age of Stars and I'll always simp for Ranni.
If the rune of death is needed to kill a demigod, then why isn't it required by the player? Did regular people didn't die before it was used? Why does the player can't die even if they are killed by it? If only after its first use then humans/the pantheon were able to die how does that even work? Wouldn't unsealing it be enough to kill people, why are death blades necessary? The Elden Ring is a collection of concepts, so the Rune of Death (the concept of death) makes sense. If you wish to say it's a plot hole, then you also need to prove your claim, otherwise it's just your opinion (which is wrong).
There is a difference than being inspired by a story and just wholesale lifting shit from mythology. All good stories are inspired by other stories and it's been the case since the dawn of mankind. Also, we know GRRM was involved but we don't know the full extent so let's not attribute everything to him.
Is there anything in the game to back this argument? And finally, on to the topic of Greater Will being evil, I guess this depends entirely on what you consider evil.
Imagine a scenario where your arms and feet are cut off by someone, and that same someone is there to feed you, change you and basically take care of your needs. I guess this someone is benevolent because he takes care of you and in his mind, cutting your arms and feet was a mercy, because otherwise, who would take care of you?
This is the Greater Will.
You are robbed of agency and made a docile obedient cattle, because to it's alien mind, this is the greatest gift it has for humankind.
Might as well do due diligence and include all the variants for posterity's sake.I still kinda dislike Ranni over the fact that the Moonlight Sword she presents to us is just a giant frost greatsword.
In terms of appearance: Bloodborne > DS3 > Elden ring > DS1 > Demons souls remake > DS2 > Demon soulsMight as well do due diligence and include all the variants for posterity's sake.
I was having trouble finding good screenshots and was considering booting up the games to get good ones but some xitter chump did it for me. I might go through later and get better shots with consistent lighting.

I kinda think it's cool that the ER version has frost on the crossguard and handle.
The DeS remake one looks ok but a bit out of place, like it's from a different game. All the particle effects are neat and flashy but overdesigned and completely out of place. That's kind of how I feel about most of the remake. In terms of appearance: Bloodborne > DS3 > Elden ring > DS1 > Demons souls remake > DS2 > Demon souls
