I shit you not this is a real line. Fromsoftware are not beating the Zanzibart allegations. Screenshot_20240712_111202_YouTube.jpg

Miquella's age of compassion
More like Miquella's age of consent.

The plot in the DLC is probably why it took so long since nothing mechanically or design wise makes sense. And even with that two year time in the oven every revelation is meh:
* Miquella abandoning his humanity for power. Not only absolutely obvious but also old as fiction.
* Horrifying world of order with no feelings. Overused anime trope.
* Marika has a bad childhood. Generic boohoo backstory. He being a fleshmelder is also random as shit and exists so to justify her merge with Radagon.

Also I'll remind that ER supposedly takes place 2000 years after the shattering yet seemingly nothing happened over that time.

Me personally, I think the fact that a staggering number of people are saying the same thing is pretty clear evidence that it's not a fringe group of autists hanging onto headcanon.
The retarded thing is that the plot is about shoving someone else's soul into another's body. You could still have Godwyn be 'dead' and fight a version of his body possessed by Mohg or Radahn's soul and have it work.

We are dealing with a game where souls and death are completely fucked and already playing with extremely loose rules. The idea that they can't contrive a reason for Godwyn to come back, but we can somehow get Radahn in Mohg's body, except it really isn't Mohg because he doesn't have any of the horns or abilities that Mohg had, is arguably just as much of a stretch.

And it would play into the themes of Miquella as well, that everything he attempts ends as an unfinished failure, that even with Godlike power he could not truly bring back Godwyn.

There is so much hinting towards a connection between Miquella and Godwyn in the base game that there is no way Radahn being his homosexual obsession is anything other than a retcon, to say nothing of how lame it is as an explanation for why Radahn and Malenia were at war. And from what little we do know about Radahn he was a giant warlord super warrior. His kindness? What the fuck? The dude likes his horse but he seemed pretty horrifically violent and brutal otherwise. There is one demigod who is characterized as genuinely kind and peaceful, and it's Godwyn. You switch the proper nouns around and suddenly all the items descriptions make more sense. Even in death he is providing some sort of bridge of acceptance and peace to Those Who Live in Death, aligning him somewhat with Miquella and the Haligtree

It genuinely feels like fanservice in the sense that Redditors spent months crying about wanting to fight HECKING prime Radahn. Even as someone who isn't THAT invested in the greater lore and story of the world it's just disappointing to see a retread of a boss we already fought, not helped by the fact that his second phase is dog shit.

The DLC feels like it's actually dealing with two entirely different casts of characters.
However, I did get bored of using one weapon and used a Sacred Blade Claymore against Putrescent Knight because I wanted to LARP as Link for a bit. The Black Steel Greathammer that scales with faith is pretty fun too, though I whiffed Lion's Claw a few times on Mesmer because he can move really fast. BB was by far the most dependable weapon for all encounters.
Faith has great utility for weapons as well, it's genuinely one of my favorite builds in the game. Faith always seemed pretty shitty in Souls but here it thrives.
The whole mess with Marika having a hand in Godwyn's death also goes against it.
To be fair this is mostly just something people assume and I don't think it's ever directly stated she was involved, though I could be misremembering. Ranni claims sole responsibility for the whole affair.

It's also a possibility Marika having two hornsent children is the result of some curse placed on her but who knows?
Which is literally Midra I just fought him.
I genuinely burst out laughing when that happened. She isn't even mentioned previously. Amazing Fromsoft tier storytelling.

Not even some of the dead can truly rest.
Edit: You can NEVER EVER convince me any loreniggers and keyboard story warriors for fromsoftware ever played the games. The moment gameplay unique details are involved without much lore is when they immediately ignore it unless their favorite YouTuber points it out.

Reddit once again thought policing because too many people are critiquing the story. This time about Godwyn.

The "Godwyn is super dead" line is so fucking retarded. Artorias was super dead, then you found a necklace and a big hand took you back in time. Truly there was just no way you could work this cool character into the dlc because the perfect genius "lore" says otherwise. It just makes so much more sense that miquella revived radahns soul in mohgs body.

Frankenradahn literally has horns on his arms and legs and uses bloodflame.

Miyazaki outright said everything on SotE is based off of shit written by Martin for the base game, none of it is newly created. It's just stuff that they didn't use for the base game.

Dude, Radahn had a "beloved" pet cat in the 1.0 version of the game. They made it less obvious but he was always just a good dude that adored fighting more than anything who idolized Godfrey.

Wtf are you on about? First you see a giant painting of a man and a woman you have to go through to complete the level, then you find the corpse of a woman wearing the exact same outfit as the painting, who is holding an item called Nanaya's Torch. Then you get to the boss and it's the dude from the painting, talking about Nanaya. Damn, what obscure storytelling. Talking about the thing in the same exact level like two rooms apart.

Midra has been ultimate fakeout to embarrass all the zanzibartfags who didn't play the game. Without fail, every dumb nigger dilating about muh Zanzibart has made this exact same fuck up where they claimed she was never established before the fight. It's hilarious on top of being absolutely pathetic. Zanzibartniggers, not once.

Troubled development isn't anything new to Fromsoft games,
Cut content is not troubled development you philistine. Alternate takes and cut/altered dialogue/cutscenes is literally nothing and completely normal for every game ever made.
The "Godwyn is super dead" line is so fucking retarded.
More like the "ree it was totally Godwyn, my dreams told me" line is so fucking retarded.

The base game has a long questline, ending and remembrance boss dedicated to Godwyn. He's not unfinished business or a mystery, he's rotting the entire game world from the bottom of the cum lake.

You are such a Fromsoft fanboy, holy shit. Miyazaki isn't going to fuck you, sorry

that's why Malenia was at one point an npc and there was a cut Miquella ending, because its all part of the plan.

I dont know who this Zanzibart is but i think he did a great job trolling you if you're still this assmad about it, Zanzibartchads stay winning
More like the "ree it was totally Godwyn, my dreams told me"
you are actually happy with Radahn being the final boss, holy shit that's funny

>zanzibartnigger just seething and nothing else
stop shitting up all the threads with your butthurt, you schizo :story:

You mean headcanon based on some leftover text from an earlier version of the game? Lmao. Omg, Malenia may have had an alt. boss intro like Gurranq that got cut, big whoop. And Miquella literally never showed up outside of his tree even in cut content, confirming that his bullshit with the Realm of Shadows actually was already a thing.

Good job, fag.

"I-I totally don't know this thing, but I am upset by you mocking me-I mean it!!!!"

Stop being mad about your shitty headcanon being wrong. :story:

Going through the DLC again, specifically the Abyssal woods, it really stands out how much it was wasted potential. That forest was huge and other than a few "unbeatable" enemies and one NPC there was nothing to do there. No real secrets, no caves, no mausoleums, no tombs, just a whole lot of nothing. I was hoping to discover a ruined village, or perhaps a catacomb, but there's just nothing. The boss fight with Midra seems like wasted potential. The Three Fingers are suppose to be an Outer Will, a big fucking deal, so I 'd expect the guy whose called the Lord of Frenzied Flame to be some sort of super boss. Nah, dude falls like a chump.

stop shitting up all the threads with your butthurt, you schizo :story:
Real talk fren, you're coming across as assmad. I don't know if that's your intention, but it really seems like you're just being pissy.

Not going to argue that since it's correct.

>* Horrifying world of order with no feelings. Overused anime trope.
That's literally the opposite of what Miquella wanted, he wanted an age of compassion were life, all life, whether fair or foul could thrive. His charm brings out the best in people and allows them to get along better, and his Haligtree was all about granting solace to those rejected by the Erdtree and being nice to them. Moore is literally one of Malenia's kids, a literal Rotkin and Miquella has a place for Moore in his world

>* Marika has a bad childhood. Generic boohoo backstory. He being a fleshmelder is also random as shit and exists so to justify her merge with Radagon.
Grafting, fused corpses, and human experimentation appears a lot in Elden Ring, Rykard literally becomes part of a serpent, Miriel talks about how all things can be conjoined. Miquella's unalloyed gold, is contrasted to the Golden Order which conjoins other belief systems. The Fire Monks worship of the Fell God and the Worship/study of the Blood Star were both normalized parts of Erdtree society, not to mention the Dragon Cult as well and the Golden Order itself took in Lucarian ideals when Radagon married Marika.
Radagon being Marika also has nothing to do with the malleable flesh of Numen, we're shown a 1:1 parallel with Miquella and Saint Trina, Radagon consists of the parts of herself that Marika deemed ungodly and abandoned and then they re-merged when Radagon married Marika and implemented the Law of Regression.

>Also I'll remind that ER supposedly takes place 2000 years after the shattering yet seemingly nothing happened over that time.
The Minor Erdtrees grew, Rykard fed himself to that snake and Tanith began leading Volcano Manor, the modern day fundamentalists were formed, Vyke killed two Demigods and seduced a dragon but sealed himself away due to being affected by the Frenzied Flame, the Death-Prince became an object of worship and the Tibia Mariners as well as the Deathbirds returned, the eternal cities were banished and Astel destroyed one.
But that's all I can think of right now.

:story: I literally don't even quote your retarded drivel you spaz, and all my comments aimed at you now were responses after you started replying to my posts. Including this one.

You're the one so obsessively butthurt you sperged out on my profile, schizo, and we never interacted outside 3 threads you started shitting up. A cursory glance can tell anybody that your seething about being "stalked" is retarded nonsense (fueled by butthurt).

Stop projecting for once in your life and for the final time stop shitting up the thread. :story:
But that's all I can think of right now.
It's a logic trap to try to answer with a list, cause the fag can just go "uuugh that's like not even 20 years worth of events lmao". The real answer is that it's a magical high-fantasy world with gods and people that live incredibly long, so pretending there has to be a "realistic" advancement in 2000 years is autistic and retarded. AKA who gives a shit.
