and I'll suck Domo dry one day.
No, seriously. Coming on this hard for crappy videos by literal who autist is really not subtle, Domo. People don't say shit like this for actually well liked ecelebs with a personality, much less a jilted DS2 fanboy with the personality of oatmeal.

Bit late to backpedal into "I was just enjoying the game", you lolcow in the making.

Bottomline: Mauler is a huge faggot with a retarded audience who keep eating his shit a decade later and I'll suck Domo dry one day.
They're both huge faggots who belabor the obvious. There is no degree of blood libel that someone could direct at my Favorite Game™ that would spur me to make a video response whining about some other guy's shitty opinions, but if I had to, I'd at least be respectful enough of any potential viewer's time to be as brief as possible.
You really don't need more than 10 minutes to state that Mauler sucks dick at DS2, or that Hbomb can't defend DS2 without shitting on DS1, or that Matthewmatosis was being uncharitable to DS2. Matthew's original video is the only one that justifies its own existence by virtue of it actually being a review of the game and not some pathetic excuse to slam dunk on another retard for 1000 hours.

Regarding another Elden Ring DLC, we will be at least another 2 years away for another one if it's around the same content size as SOTE and I'm hoping for more Godwyn's lore and more deathblight spells/incant/weapons
I really really don't think there will be another one. I don't think Elden Ring 2 is a complete impossibility, even if they don't have any current plans. Deciding to forego Gloam Eyed Queen and Godwyn may have been an intentional move on their part so as to allow the second game to have things that would bring back people invested in the story.

I don't even know how you could do another DLC unless it was WAY smaller and existed almost solely to tie up loose plot threads.
what REALLY took them two years to make this DLC?
The map is huge and even the side dungeons have unique gimmicks. All the weapons and new bosses feel like they probably took most of the dev time.

That or there were a lot of complications that arise when they decided to cram two DLCs together rather than just have each one release separately.

Jesus. There was never "2 DLCs" (technically there was but not in the way people think, more in a bit).

Barbarians of the fake bullshitlands was a garbage photoshop job logo that was "leaked" alongside a dozen Bandai "games" meant for 2023&24, half of which don't and never existed. Including Barbie's Meatland Adventures.

The "2" DLCs intended for ER were a colosseum and a story expansion. Yes, the shitty PvP thing was DLC 1. Those were the only two DLCs ever planned for the game. The only thing that got "merged" into SotE was some bosses from the colosseum DLC.

At this point you'd ask "Wait, bosses? It was just PvP shit." Originally the colosseums were supposed to have some kind of a boss rush mode and they even had a few unique bosses that got cut alongside the mode. Those bosses were reused for SotE. The end.

The bosses confirmed to have been meant for the colosseums are Hippo, Gaius and Demi-Human Yoda.

Frankly I thought he was being too nice...
I don't actually disagree, but Hbomb's video was about how Matt didn't play the game the way he "should have" which makes his criticisms unfair - according to Hbomb, that is. I personally find DS2 to be the easiest of the games but I just don't enjoy playing it. I just hate the way your character moves so much.

It really is a shame that stuff like that wasn't resolved in the DLC. Mysteries like who the Gloam-Eyed Queen was and how she related to Melina, will Godwyn ever be truly resurrected, how does Rosus tie in with Godwyn, WHY THE HELL CAN'T I PUT IMPALING THRUST ON THE KATAR OR PATA? HUH, WHY FROMSOFT, FUCKING WHY!?!? Is the Abyssal Serpent related to the Formless Mother... A lot of shit that ill never be solved.

Depending on the price, I think people would be okay with that.

I think a DLC not-related to any of the main plot points or characters could work. Perhaps helping Kale with some shit, or maybe some of Patches misadventures.

Look, all I'm trying to say is, I'd really like to see a sleep ash of war.

We never really get the full picture in a Fromsoft game, the players are always left to figure stuff out on their own, worsened by translation which can exclude or add something that was or wasn't in the original text. Such as in Darksouls 1 were Seathe's Lord Soul doesn't mention the fact he's a relative of Gwyn's wife in the english translation.
So I don't expect we'll get 100% solid answers to everything. But to me I don't really see any other good cannidates for the Gloan-Eyed Queen other than Melina, Godwyn is reincarnated into the Rune of the Death-prince in his ending, and I don't think there ever is a connection formed between the Formless Mother and Abyssal Serpent, they aren't even the same color and the Formless Mother doesn't have any correlation with a lightless abyss.

New Vaati, still really gay video

It's funny how he waited for the DLC for some massive plot reveal only to completely skim around it with how retarded it was.
It's less gay and retarded this time, because he restricted faggot fanfiction to the absolute minimum (iirc only one sentence contained "I think that (...)"), most of the footage was from actual game instead of being screenshots, fanart and other dangerously homosexual sources, and hired brainwashed people for doing in game choreography and editing for free for him. The Romina stuff was more inconsequential and disconnected from the main game's setting than retarded, like every single major boss lore in DLC, so skipping it doesn't feel that bad.

I forgot that Romina even existed, says a lot about her not appearing. It's kind of insane that Elden Ring has literally 3 versions of The Corruption and all of them are inconsequential to the plot and are never really expanded on. It's all bloat.

The video tries to make the Prepare to Cry bit but it just fails. Malenia is just an evil bitch that the DLC made her worse. While her offshoot character is not very interesting and you meet too infrequently to feel engaging.

Not by much. She was just essentially a femoid middle manager - on the surface honorable and strong, but the second she felt threatened by an actual unit Radahn, she just sharted and fled like a bitch. Oh, and like a femoid manager, she was acting on man's orders the entire time lmao.

The only not dogshit lore part of the DLC was Marika's past. That's it. The hornlocaust was deserved, in fact they deserved to get genocided harder, and I'm disappointed I couldn't help with the righteous crusade against them. I'm siding with Leda against Hornsent from now on.

I've been playing Dark Souls 3 again and man. It is so much easier than ER, it's not even funny. Playing Shadow of the Erdtree feels like training in the hyperbolic time chamber. I've emerged, gone super saiyan, and I'm shitting on bosses that gave me serious trouble 8 years ago.

I'm running a Darkmoon Greatsword build with the Carian Knight armor and shield, and fighting Rellana the Twin Moon Knight is like I'm fighting a way better and cooler version of my character lmao. I decided like 2 hours before getting to her that I want to parry everything after finding out exactly how parrying works in ER and putting the Carian Retaliation ash on my shield, and I think I'm making the fight way harder than it needs to be, but it sure is fun to parry her little bullshit delayed combos.

FYI: putting either Carian Retaliation or the faith ash equivalent on a medium shield gives it the same parry window as a buckler. Normal medium shields have a trash 5 frame parry window, but the buckler has a special parry that lasts for 11 frames and is waaay easier to hit. I'm not sure if this is widely known or what, but I just found out yesterday and thought it was neat. Before putting Carian Retaliation on my shield I pretty much just used it to shut down enemies with spastic attacks like dogs.
