I see they've also nerfed Scattershot throw, lovely. After nerffing is it 'Reasonable but still viable' or 'lol just throw Smithscript dagger in trash' levels of screwed?

I personally love how they changed heavy attacks but I think it’ll be toned a little bit in a different update, some of them come out way too fast.
But bros, the Hand to Hand arts went from a great weapon class to an amazing weapon class. The combos feel smooth as fuck, the damage is solid, status buildup is stupidly fast, and they are just so versatile and light. You can just run heavy armor and beat the fuck out of enemies, and if you have some buffs it’s just over.

It no longer causes headshots through rolls which was pretty much the only good thing about it as it's easy as hell to dodge.
In PvE you're better off just using a blood weapon.

I understand why a sunflower would be weak to fire, but -40? At least give my boy a chance, everyone and their grandma has some type of fire in this game.

Because it was a terribly designed boss fight, what the hell are you talking about? Fuck the lore, the gameplay shouldn't take back seat to vibes.
Yeah I don't get this cope. Radahn would still melt any NPC you meet. He doesnt need to be unstoppable for the player to fight too.

It might be offset somewhat by the water it's sitting in.

There's a lot of dampness going around in the DLC, between shallow water in boss arenas and rainstorms triggered by boss health thresholds.

It's not.
Talisman of Dread+Shard of Alexander+FGMS+Golden Vow
My 25 FTH retard character annihilated him with Blasphemous Blade's weapon art. If I managed to catch the head when it was dipping down, it could potentially 1-shot a phase because the head takes 66% more damage. He takes long enough to rez that I could reapply Flame Grant Me Strength between phases. I can't even remember what that boss does because it died so quickly.

Guys a doubt

I am using a death poker build and recently got the godskin peeler, should i switch from magice to arcane?

is there any lore reason for why Mesmer doesn't just leave the lands of shadow if he's so unhappy there?
You can't escape them according to lord. They're the after life and once you enter it you're stuck there. Unless you're the player for some reason. Mesmer was also loyal to his mother until his death so he was still waging war on the lands until Micky spoke to him and is only temporarily holding off so he can become a God.

You stacked a load of buffs and 1 shot a boss? It says more about you than the game.

How does anyone do multiple playthroughs of this game? The first third of the game, even in the NG+ cycles, is so fucking boring. How do you all stand it?
It's definitely boring on replays and you should play any other game instead, but I've gone through it multiple times pre-dlc and once after it out of sheer force of habit just because there were weapons/spells/incantations I haven't tried yet. Though also you can rush to Altus without even beating any of the Great Rune bosses if you remember the layout of certain parts of the world map well enough. The seams of the game really begin to show at that point because I've even fallen through the floor and died as a result of a random collision detection failure in one particular spot of north Liurnia while doing this.
Yeah I got to Radahn, saw that fight and said fuck it im not "finishing" the DLC. The battered housewife psychological trickery aint working here.
There's an "easy mode" for it even pre-nerf which is just equip a greatshield and an antspur rapier. That's what I did on ng+.

It's just 2 talismans and 2 buffs while only having 25 FTH on a weapon art that scales off of FTH against an endgame DLC boss. When the boss takes 40% more damage from fire and the head takes 66% bonus damage on top of that, that shit is fragile as fuck against the smallest flame.

No.
You're not allowed to use the talismans and buffs that boost the things you're using, that's not how you play the game.
You have to go Short Sword only, no buffs, no talismans, no weapon arts, no leveling, no upgrading, no spells, no summons, no spirits, no controller, no screen, and then and only then are you playing a video game right.

I hate coming up with new builds, hyping them up in my head, and then actually trying to implement them only to find that the weapons/spells required fucking suck. Madness suffers from this the most.

My fanfic:

Upon selecting the Samurai class you, the Tarnished Nameless Samurai, were pulled into the Lands Between after dying during the Sengoku Jedai. Now tasked with a supernatural quest you don't understand.

Elden Ring is now an Isekai where any character can test their worth

I'm eager to try the smith script daggers and be massively disappointed. Maybe pairing them with the ice needle rapier so I can spam cold projectiles will make them okay considering they hit out to a little over 12 meters now.

I finally beat the DLC last week. Was missing only one Scadutree Fragment but couldn't be bothered to keep searching for it, also summoned help for the final boss because I was just out of patience at that point. First few people I got did well but died, and I died once instead because I forgot about Radahn's damn meteor attack (which was rage-inducing because it was my closest attempt and the cooperator wasn't near death, I just got careless). The person who finally helped me win kicked his ass with a perfumer build. They got the final hit but I couldn't be mad, just grateful.

I thought it was an enjoyable DLC overall, but they really squandered Godwyn's potential. Reviving Radahn - not to mention the revelation that he was willing to become Miquella's consort the whole time - was a complete asspull. It 100% should've been Godwyn instead.

Godwyn already has an ending and questline dedicated to him. His story is already complete; there's no need for him to be revived.

I think Radahn being revived makes more sense. It gives us a straight answer about why Malenia went on a suicide mission to fight the strongest of all demigods: so Miquella could revive him and crush all opposition to his coming order. It's also consistent with how Ranni revived herself. Her body died, so she had her soul shoved into a doll (probably with seluvis' help); the same happens with Radahn, where Mohg's body had Radahn's soul crammed into it with Miquella's help. Godwyn's soul is dead, so him being revived would make no sense.

Reviving Radahn - not to mention the revelation that he was willing to become Miquella's consort the whole time - was a complete asspull.
Radahn definitely didn't want to be Miquella's consort. If he did, Malenia would have had no reason to attack him.

I was trying to build around the warpick because warpicks and lucernes were goated in the other games. I quickly realized that they had the effective range and damage of a loaf of wonder bread.
And to add to this, give me one good reason frenzy couldn’t have acted something like frostbite. Just have it do some damage and maybe apply a debuff or something, there is no reason everything but players and NPCs don’t get affected by frenzy but sleep works on things.
