Inactive Elliot Rodger - The Supreme Gentleman

I live between Ringwood and Blandford breweries. Golden Glory is my favourite summer ale, Blandford Fly with its gingery goodness is great whenever. Tonight I'm on tanglefoot.

My ex employers funded a tour of Ringwood brewery while i was there....soooo many free samples. Noone drove home.

Ooh they're good breweries. Is it Ringwood that do Old Thumper?

I'd love to visit my local breweries (Joseph Holt, Robinsons, JW Lees, Hell maybe a trip to Yorkshire for some of the Masham breweries!) at some point.

I like the troegs brewery and single cut and sixpoint out of the breweries I've been to.

I have a liking for stouts. Here's a recent one I've had:

Samuel Smith's? Bloody brilliant! Ever been to a Samuel Smith pub? They're like gold dust!

Never been to a Samuel Smith pub, but if they existed here I would probably go.

It just happens the liquor store sells their stuff. It's like $4.50 a bottle here.

They're very rare over here. There's a couple in London, apparently one in Leeds and there's definitely one in Manchester, it's so good and also so cheap! It's like £2.50 for a pint.

I spent a few days reading Elliot's manifesto and I was startled at how much he reminded me of myself when I was 14.

Right up until he started fearing people even mentioning getting laid, and how smug he talks. Like he devoted a paragraph and a bit talking about why he quit WoW (like the fourth time he did it). Specifically he mentioned after the Cataclysm expansion pack he would constantly hear insults like "Virgin" thrown at his direction, and people would begin bragging about how often they got laid. And he felt like the game was invaded by "normals". Then he mentioned how his parents got him a job as a janitor and left the next day, because he thought it was bellow him. Towards the end of the Manifesto when he's in college his smugness reaches over 9000 when a black guy mentions he lost his virginity to a white woman.

“How could an inferior, ugly black boy be able to get a white girl and not me? I am beautiful, and I am half white myself. I am descended from British aristocracy. He is descended from slaves. I deserve it more,”

and then he ran into his room and cried like a little bitch, and called his mom and asked her to switch his room with some other people.

I really, really blame his parents over this entire thing.

I don't know if this video has been linked earlier (probably has) but I'll link it anyway since this guy really shed a lot of light on things I didn't even think about. Like he mentions his father most likely cheated on his mother.

He kinda reminds me of Moleman. Both are spoiled, entitled, poorly parented rich kids who feel entitled to whatever they want. With Elliot, it's pussy, with Gaben, it's immunity to criticism.

Fuuuuck me this guy went to my fucking highschool. I remember seeing him in the halls. He's still making videos?
Seriously? What was he like?

Ha. Wow, I used to watch this guy's videos about five years ago. I stopped after seeing

thinking that he couldn't really top that.

If you look at his YouTube videos you can kind of see him regress from puberty and orthodontic work if you scroll down.

Looks like his views have gone down from an average in the tens of thousands when he started to just thousands now.

What else could they do, though? They had him in psychiatric care for years, and even reported him to the police when they saw his videos a month prior to his rampage.

He was a few grades bellow me so I never actually got to talk to the guy. But everyone seemed to know about him, and he occasionally had "PRUANE" said in the halls.

It's not surprising that he has lost views. Blogging in general has lost popularity on Youtube and no longer attracts the hundreds of thousands of views it used to. It's why I was honestly surprised to find out he still made videos.

If you watch the video I linked earlier the guy notices a few patterns. Like Elliot Rodger left college numerous times because there were wimmin there with guys, and he was too intimidated to stay in class. His parents enabled this behavior numerous times. Indeed, the college he conducted his rampage was the very first time he ever had roommates, and it was them he most intimately killed with a knife.

I don't think his parents did enough to prevent his sense of entitlement. They got him a job at one point and he quit the next day because he thought cleaning toilets was "bellow him". Indeed in numerous ways they encouraged it, with giving him a BMW and taking him to movie premieres. They only sent him to therapy much later on in his life, and only when he started to say more psychopathic things about people. Before that he had a history of threatening to commit suicide and his parents did absolutely nothing but coddle him more.

That and how neglectful his dad was throughout his life, and how shitty his step mother was. He even mentioned in the manifesto that his step mother bragging that his step brother would "lose his virginity early in life" unlike him, was what really set him over the edge.

OT: I just had a similar experience. A girl I went to high school with became a "mommy blogger" and was arrested last week for filing false complaints. Apparently she's been punching herself in the face (well, she did once -- the other times she just flipped the image to give her a black eye on the other side) to explain why she can't pay rent, child support, etc. She's currently being roasted on various blogs that mock mommy bloggers.

I don't like it when world collide like this -- killing Independent Artard & whatever. People I know personally should not be on the internet!

I'll have to watch the YouTube video. I just spent several hours reading/skimming his manifesto, God knows why, and it reminds me a lot of Mein Kamph.

It also seems to indicate that a lot of his "counseling" was from "social skills counselors" about the same age as him, from some company. While that could be a helpful adjunct, he only briefly mentions a couple of meetings with a psychologist and a couple with a psychiatrist, whose prescribed anti-psychotics he refused to take.

Keep in mind too that this manifesto, while offering some insight into his personal history, is filtered through his own derangement. There's a lot of "unreliable narrator" factor here.

He also mentioned being incapable of relating or taking the advice from his psychiatrists because they "couldn't understand his struggle" because they were women, or men that looked more successful than him. Which was his Wizard side showing.
