A perfect example of why Musk bought Twitter, it’s now a straight up disinformation platform for whatever Duh Fuhrer says. A government aligned disinformation (and surveillance) platform at that. The largest in the world, run by the world’s richest man.
What is kinda funny is that "they" seem to want to congregate/consolidate everyone in one place but I don't think it's working. Facebook is a Boomer graveyard, META is DOA, and everyone knows Twitter is mostly bots. What I hope doesn't happen is that Twitter becomes like a pay to play LinkedIn. Or Imagine if Facebook and Twitter merged!? All I know is these crazies are never content or satisfied, and they are constantly paranoid by the fact that there's a lot more of us than there are of them.

Super-apps only work in environments where there are no established players for the functions. If we look at WeChat, the Chinese internet industry pretty much skipped the desktop phase. Hell, most email addresses are like some weird combination of numbers and letters, they don't use them much. So doing stuff online and the smart phone were happening at the same time.

So the official DOGE's role is to cut down on paperwork and maintain websites/portals for government services. This isn't glamorous, but it does help with actual government efficiency. That means Musk is going to hate it.

Super apps work in Asian markets because of the regulatory and government environment. In the US and EU there's a lot of regulations that prevent you from sharing data in many ways. While in Asia there's very little in this way so they can bridge multiple services together, all supporting transactions and sharing user information. Which, you can technically do and it would work in Western markets too, just because of the convenience factor, but you'd need some big permit slip and leeway regarding user data of multiple types shared with multiple parties.
