Assuming he's telling the truth, it took a taint piercing to get Chris to shower regularly. You'd think body grime or social courtesy or Barb would of taken care of that one.
Even then, his taint got infected anyways.

Yeah, people should just call trolling for what it is, and what it always has been: manipulating Chris for lulz.

It's annoying when both:

A. people try to to justify trolling as some sort of moral duty, as if it's the proper role of people on the Internet to punish Chris for whatever

and

B. people get morally outraged here about this recent revelation from the secret board. 90% of the sagas that we enjoy were trolls manipulating Chris for lulz. I find arguments like, "Well it was okay to fuck with him when he was jumping around in clown shirts, but not now because he's a mopey tranny," especially simplistic.

Really the only discussion to be had is: is the trolling funny or not? Because otherwise you open the door to getting rid of most of the CWCki, and I don't see many people calling for that on the forums.
Except you're wrong. How can you pin people for being overly simplistic and then immediately boil the discussion down to yes and no, right and wrong, black and white? That's a symptom of autism, you know.

There is always room for discussion about varying shades of gray. What people are experiencing when they feel sympathy towards Chris is an understanding of how trolling has changed. The old days of Chris were people fibbing to him about small stuff.

ED called him a pedo for wearing Herbert the Pervert glasses, when he saw the page he freaked out. Jimmy Hill pretended to sell his comic in the UK, when he saw this he freaked out. Robert Simmons V and Liquid Chris imitated him, when he saw the videos he freaked out.

The GalPals pretended to be sexually interested in Chris so that he would trust them more. This varied based on the person. Chris trying to pretend to be Liquid Chris to woo Kacey was all of Chris' doing. Panda Halo got some logs, but (IIRC) operated well within boundaries. BlueSpike told him to burn down his house.

Then you get to this. What is this? Was this trolling? What did it accomplish? Where is the humor value? There is none. The amount of effort (an extraordinary sum, there are things you don't know about yet) does not meet the "lulz" to be had. This wasn't trolling, Holdek, and you're fooling yourself if you think otherwise.

Well, part of the issue I think was the enforcement of "no trolling" while in reality that was what was going on behind the scenes. In a way, the rest of us were trolled ourselves with this new saga, when we thought it was all Chris' doing and it really wasn't.
Wait, what'd you think was Chris' doing?

If I hadn't been reading the Nick Bate thread beforehand, I'd be disturbed. (Sigh) I wish some exgalpal would come here to set the record straight. We'd have to verify her, of course, but I could only imagine the TRUE and HONEST insights we may get from her.

This is something I have been wondering about also. Was there really some sort of "negotiations" with the girls or did they come up with the idea spending a little time with Chris themselves?

I think what happened was that Bob went to the Principal about Chris, and then the Principal bribed some of the girls in school to hang around with him (possibly for some extra credit). For the Principal, it would also be a way for normal people to keep on eye on the troublemaking Manbaby and maybe help steer him away from doing something regrettable.

It's the real-life version of someone tying a pork chop around the ugly kid's neck so that the dog would play with him.

The latter. No public source.

Chris might've learned it from a troll, but it was confirmed by someone else. I believe it.
Even if it's not a fabrication, telling Chris is just a needlessly cruel dickmove to fuck with him. *sigh*

This is easily the most cringeworthy stuff I've seen in ages. Chris in emails can be incredibly insulting. " I forgive you of the past unpleasantries.", good lord.
I think what he's trying to do is showing he's the bigger man who's holding no grudges... but the effect it has is utterly devastating, to say the least. He comes off as an arrogant doofus who forgives people for things he himself fucked up in the first place and he simply can't let go. Ever.

Edit:
Because you've been on the internet long enough to have heard of both pedos and strange food fetishes so this jumped out as a "FUCK NO" red flag. It's just Chris though so he's probably doing it as what he thinks of acceptable small talk.
For me, it kind of reminds me of something some mob hitman would say to intimidate someone...
"That's a really cute baby on the photo... Let's just hope it *short pause followed by dramatic glasses removal* stays safe..."

Eh, the person who confirmed it to him probably would've ended up telling him anyway.

Well, I'm not attacking anyone for doing this, but it's just kind of uncalled for to ruin the one happy memory Chris had for no real reason. That is, of course, assuming there was no real reason. I guess I'll have to wait until January to make sense of this. As it looks now it just has a kind of bad taste to it. Not judging anyone, mind you, just saying it's... well. Depressing.

But with this leak I can understand Null perfectly. This is most likely just a tiny piece of the top of the iceberg and the "I forwarded something to [X] what do you think? Also [Y] told [Z] something concerning [X] and did you know [W] is going to join and [V] on their trip to Wally-World" stuff made my head spin already. Holy shit.

As an alternative phrasing of the same story. Chris is lonely. Bob mentions this to the school administration. The school administration mentions to some girls they know are nice people that eating lunch with Chris would be a nice thing to do. The girls, being nice people agree that it would be a nice thing to do. They get to know Chris, and although it isn't a meaningful friendship, they have genuine feelings of pity/affection for him and are happy to chat with him occassionally. Then everyone graduates and they move on with their lives.

My point is: I don't see that it was a big revelation. We knew that it can't have been a friendship of equals. They did it to be nice to him. Whether it was their idea to begin with, or the principal's idea, or Bob's idea seems like a fairly trivial distinction.

I suppose it would be a bigger revelation if it turned out they were very resistant to doing it, and there was a lot of back and forth between them and the administration coercing them into doing it, but as far as I know we don't have that.

I can see why it was a shock to Chris. But it shouldn't have been a shock to us. It just fleshed out the backstory of a plot we already knew.

This is what the gal pal issue seems to be:

REAL Gal Pals from high school were actually asked or bribed to hang out with Chris. (Most schools require seniors to have X-amount of community service hours to graduate. If the Gal Pals were paid, CS hours is most likely how.) Or hung out with him out of pity.

REAL source close to the REAL Gal Pals reported this to Chris.

Chris tried contacting REAL Gal Pals via fb to clear it up but they ignored or blocked him because they're much too nice to tell him the truth, but also don't want anything to do with him because he's fucking creepy.

Chris continued to harass REAL Gal Pals online.

A troll posed as FAKE Gal Pals and told Chris to fuck off, which may be what the REAL Gal Pals wanted, and so that he'd leave the REAL Gal Pals alone.

That seems to be the case.

It's just so sad how Chris dealt with the revelation. He accepted that his gal-pals were "paid" to pretend to be his friends, he accepted that they never saw him the way he saw them. Yet he wants to get them to come back and continue the illusion. Or he wants them to legitimately become his friends now, somehow.

So, the Tiffany in the e-mails were trolls, and according to an update on the CWCki, the betrayal was staged by trolls. So, was it trolls who shared Chris's videos and the picture of him in his mom's underwear on Facebook?

Not too surprising, it's exactly what he did with Hannah when he found out she was messing with him - cry, freak out then email her saying to look him up if she ever changes her mind.

Obviously the Jimmy Hill Saga isn't the same degree as this, and that wasn't the point I was making.

You've said people were pretending to be his friends, but that it wasn't real, and that this was your big moral epiphany that led you to close down the private sub-forum. Yet the sagas were full of trolls who manipulated him by pretending to be his girlfriends and confidants. You bring up BlueSpike and mention him telling Chris to burn his house down. Did you miss the part right before that when he tells Chris that Julie, for whom he had professed his love for and even drove to Ohio to meet, against his parents' specific prohibition, isn't real, and is in fact a 12-year-old boy? This is the same emotional roller coaster with a slightly different form, a few years later.
