Based on the web series ENA, the first part of this abstract walking sim is out for free, with a $10 "supporters edition". It already got most of its secrets explored, and a bunch of speedruns. It's not for everyone and can come across as lolrandom, but there is a story in it. The animations and voice acting are top-notch.

nice little peruvian flavor of the week shit
looking forward to chapter 2 circa 2030

I've been playing it on and off and it's lovely. The art style is really something and it's very well polished. I like the choice to use different languages for different characters, making a them feel even more unique than they already do. Definitely not for everyone, especially if you're going to be taking it seriously, as it is more of a "do not think it - feel it" type of experience. Other than that, pretty refreshing take on surreal type of games.

Not quite related, but the Peruvian touches in things like the main menu, overworld, and a few designs are nice.

People love the foreign language voices, especially Kane’s.

I think what makes this game stand out from other surrealist games is the level of thought put into it, even if it’s giving a Japanese-inspired character a Russian voice. The details and contrasts make it more interesting, and they help things like the characterization.

They put so much effort into a single chapter of a game it's unreal, while playing I got a little confused and felt worried there'd be too much feature creep but it was thankfully not the case
Joel is so creative it's impressive

Turns out there's two "endings" for chapter 1: you can either take the taxi once giving his heads back, or go through the normal jobs and wind up in the bathroom the same way. I guess you could also say there's two ending-endings depending on whether you cross the river (there's an achievement for doing so frogger-style but fuck that) or fall into it)

I love him sm he's has such a cute design.

Really good first chapter. I'm a bit scared that the rest of the game might get trapped in development hell like every other chapter-based game. If the rest of the chapters are as long as this one, then hopefully it shouldn't be an issue.

To be fair, I heard reason this chapter ended up in development hell was because they had a lot of trouble figuring out what they even wanted the game to be, in addition to what engine they wanted to build it in. [They apparently tried making it in RPGmaker at first, then realized the game was way too big for that and started over in Unity.]

Now that they've committed to a solid plan, it should [hopefully] be smooth sailing from here.

Didn't they have to swap the male voice due to Reasons?
Yes, but it didn't take them long to find a replacement. Especially since this is what... the second? Third time they had to replace that same role for the same reason? I wonder if at this point they just keep a list of potential successors on hand at all times.

My spidey sense tingle me that this game was made by degenerates who will soon expose themselves as pedos or something.

I'm writing this because I've seen the work of: John K., Forever 12, The Amazing Digital Pedo Circus, Twitter Groomers, fucking Alfred Alfer and a lot of other faggot shit. And this shit correlates with that shit.

Kill cynics. Behead cynics. Roundhouse kick a cynic into the concrete. Slam dunk a cynic baby into the trashcan. Crucify filthy cynics. Defecate in a cynic's food. Launch cynics into the sun. Stir fry cynics in a wok. Toss cynics into active volcanoes. Urinate into a cynic's gas tank. Judo throw cynics into a wood chipper. Twist cynics' heads off. Report cynics to the IRS. Karate chop cynics in half. Curb stomp pregnant cynics. Trap cynics in quicksand. Crush cynics in the trash compactor. Liquefy cynics in a vat of acid. Eat cynics. Dissect cynics. Exterminate cynics in the gas chamber. Stomp cynic skulls with steel toed boots. Cremate cynics in the oven. Lobotomize cynics. Mandatory abortions for cynics. Grind cynical fetuses in the garbage disposal. Drown cynics in fried chicken grease. Vaporize cynics with a ray gun. Kick old cynics down the stairs. Feed cynics to alligators. Slice cynics with a katana.
TCD. Total Cynic Death.

Ah, so it is made by troons, and they have their butt buddy in here defending them...
No child, those are your delusions again. Wait for the fun police.

They don't police fun, they're police who are fun. It means they're going to flashbang your mom.
