Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

I know after that I did my best to avoid playing in the same group as him, and I suspect some of the other people who were there for it did, too.

This is why SJWs are problematic in any gaming situation and should immediately be excluded from any such situation. Perhaps they should be given one chance to go the fuck back to tumblr with that bullshit before ejection, but really, disruptive bullshit that wrecks other people's fun should not be tolerated.

So was she a thief before dumblr or is that yet another "social justice" personality improvement?

She never stole before that. Not from me, not that I know. She started doing it right after she 'improved' her personality by becoming a Tumblrina. She actually thinks it is social justice because I make more money than her, because I have a job and she's poor and oppressed so I should grant her that shit.

And I've tried to look for her Tumblr, but she changed her url and she refuses to give me the new one.

White Wolf caters to the angsty loner crowd and the crowd that thinks they're deeper for playing roleplaying games that focus more on politicking than violence. They also tend to draw a lot on alternative religions and "exotic" cultures, which tend to be popular with SJWs as well. Plus, a lot of SJWs are female, and there are more girls playing White Wolf games. You'd think that Gypsy game would scare more of them away, but I suspect most of them wouldn't have even heard of it.
Gypsies was oWoD's weird quasiracism personified.

Anyway I just find it odd considering I usually look towards Onyx Path/White Wolf to do more horror oriented stuff (and successfully in some cases I might add) and prefer to avoid the politicking aspect of it outside of world building before chucking my players into the cauldron of a situation about to fucking explode. It's also why Demon, Hunter, and Changeling are my favorite nWoD lines, politicking takes a back seat in them compared to the existential horror such things might conjure up. It's also why I love Requiem for Rome and the Blood and Smoke update compared to any other Vampire material old or new, as the Strix are perfect antagonists and destructive forces to really drive in the fact that you are playing a fucking blood-drinking unnatural monster.

Then again I suppose I'm not their typical demographic considering I lack the angst and angst related accessories in the angsty loner who wants to rebel from his parents and be a fairie or whatever. Fuck old Changeling.

Actually it's a tabletop game. Vampire the Masquerade. Cain is the first vampire, cursed to be such by god for killing Abel, and its his curse that is passed down from vampire to vampire.

What is it with SJW's and white wolf products anyway?
She specifically called it a video game, not a tabletop game. I'm not sure if she just mixed up the two terms with each other, or if she's actually stupid enough to think they're the same thing.

She's probably only played either of the two video games that are based on the Tabletop, one which is shit and the name I can't quite remember and the second, Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, which is a fucking classic and I still haven't finished because I'm addicted to grand strategy games. Incidentally, I'd actually suggest reading even the original tabletop book because I have a feeling that it's one of the more influential factors to modern urban fantasy.

Last semester at my college, there was a slightly overweight chick in my English classroom with neon colored hair. Didn't think much at first, until I saw her come to school in a shirt that said #freethenipple. Then things turned for the worst.

We had to do an research project on any subject of our choice, she chose to do it on "harassment of women in video game culture", she presented it in the most biased and dumbest way ever, almost all of her "sources" came from tumblr, the mary sue, salon, alternet, and nearly every other progressive libtard website. You could also tell she didn't play video games because she thought MGS and CoD where both the same exact thing.

Ah, I see. I've never played tabletop games, so this area is foreign to me.

It's very likely that she only played one of the video game versions. The only other video games she mentioned playing are LSD: Dream Emulator and some shitty point and click game where the player is an abused child being yelled at by their parents.

I hope the class chewed her out.

This sounds like she read the Metal Gear Solid 4: Fable II book

You can be a massive edgelord special snowflake depending on the game. Wanna be a superhot erotic femme fatale? Play clans with a presence or dominate skill, or alternatively ghoul the hell out of people by spiking the punch bowl with your own blood. Wanna rage at the fucking bloodmouths and tools of the man? Play one of the Garou, or to be extra special, a Child of Gaia. Wanna be a snowflake kawaii uguu manic pixy? Fucking fae. The dark setting also tends to draw a lot of the dregs too, since most of the White Wolf stuff tends to lead to a slow decay.

She most likely played Bloodlines or Redemption. Both go into the topic, though I think Redemption goes somewhat further into the background in some respects.

i attend a local liberal arts college so some crazies are to be expected

to start, i decided to join the local lgbt club, dubbed the gay-straight alliance club, specifically because i knew there were going to be lolcows aplenty. turns out the very vp is one, and so on the first meeting after some fairly standard stuff he lectured us on how many different genders and sexualities there were ("you have to think outside the box, and thats how you should see genders"). he even showed us an infographic called "the genderbread man". and of course many of the members were just as lulzy. you had the grey asexual who openly admitted to having a meltdown while working at the grocery store, the hambeast that looks like honey boo boo tried to dress as a tranny caricature, the walking gay stereotype, theatre major and all, who sucks the hambeasts dick and goes with everything she says...

also my lit teacher is a feminist. the kind that legitimately thinks theres such a thing as rape culture in modern america and believes in the one-in-five-women statistic. our class basically covers how comedians impact society and politics, and today we went over amy schumer. it was not a fun time and i sincerely wish i was making this up but no. the wild ride is so very very real

Teachers like this make me glad that my English teacher was Second wave and actually awesome (We had a shared affinity for punk music)

The mention of White Wolf reminds me of the time I narowly avoided getting into an SJW infested Exalted game.
Now, I fucking love Exalted, it's one of my favorite games, and I'll take the rare opportunities to lay it whenever I can, but I made my excuses and dropped this group pretty damn quickly.

The Storyteller seemed reasonable at first, taking auditions for characters, and acepting mine. Maybe the first red flag should have been that they didn't need to know much more than the fact that I was planning to play a black lesbian pirate, seeming very keen to accept the character based on that alone. They even altered the geographical location of the campaign to an area with more sea that what they originally had planned.
'Cool,' thought I, 'they like my character.'

And then came the first group session. I was suspicious once the word 'triggers' came up, with the GM asking if there was anything people would prefer not to see in the game. We all agreed on not including rape, which I prefer to leave out of games because playing the subject as anything other than cheap angst or completely under-doing it is next to impossible.
Then came the killer.
In Exalted, the main sea-going region is the west, where women are forbidden to go to sea. The reason for this is the Storm Mothers, powerful ocean spirits who are homicidally jealous of any woman prettier than them. In other words, all women who don't have the backing of a more powerful God, like the PCs.
One of the players had a problem with this, going into a full Tumblrina rant about patriarchy, oppression, and socially constructed strandards of beauty. The other players agreed that this was indeed problematic.

Then, like any SocJus gathering will do, the group tore itself apart. I pointed out that it was possible for a woman to become a sailor without being one of the Exalted by becoming Tya. Essentially, she sterilizes herself, adorns herself with ritual tattoos and declares herself a man.
This was the beginning of a shitstorm.
One half of the group thought this was an excellent idea, allowing for strong proud trans characters. The other half insisted that this was even more problematic, forcing women to masculinize themselves and surrender their femininity, adding to their oppression.
The first half then went on to accuse the second of transphobia, at which point, I pretended my work schedule had changed to prohibit me from playing, and left the conversation.

That was the only time I ever turned down a game of Exalted. Thanks Tumblr.
I just wanted to play a magical lesbian pirate!

I just want to do stupid-crazy stunts in Exalted I thought that was the point. ):

I don't like it when either side of the pro/anti sjw crowd really gets involved in tabletops. It's an escapist hobby and tumblr politics have no place at the table. I've had to shut down a couple of conversations like that because it's derailment and just a waste of everyone's time. So far people have understood that and I hope I can continue to keep politics out of my groups.

You've got my sympathy though that really sucks.

I've actually been considering doing the same thing because at my school since the fall semester just started, we have about 300 more students as opposed to last year. The thing is, this also means that the influx of tumblr-esque people has increased (pretty dramatically) as well. It's to the point where at least 2 of the tables are taken up by colorful pastel clothed genderspecials. I even recognized one of the people from my old highschool and was practically begging that they didn't recognize me and try to pull me into their little group to talk.
Throughout this semester (2 weeks in) so far I've seen: "My gender is Nah" shirt, Same person get rowdy in class when their birth-name was called out, talked to someone I knew again from conventions who recently has come to believe that you should try on genders. I feel like I could increase a lot of those experiences to share here by just joining the LGBT group. Mostly just to see what kind of shit they spout in there about third-wave feminism and the endless amounts of genders and sexualities there apparently are.

In art school there was a girl with pink hair, occasional plus sized lolita clothes and a sticker on her cintiq that said "Check Your Privilege." She started a web comic about lesbian vampires or something that died after 10 pages cause no one wanted to read it and even after art school she drew worse than Dobs.

I went to my university's anime club (Yeah I know, my friend dragged me) and there's this girl (don't remember what her "actual gender" was. It was some kinda NB aeroplanefluid deal) there who doesn't use pronouns. Not that she doesn't use certain ones, or that she only uses her own made up ones, she straight up doesn't use them. You have to refer to her using proper nouns at all times. It's even worse 'cause her real name is something unwieldy like Shantalleine and easy to forget. Plus she's got bright pink hair, has a frontbutt, etc. It was weird cause the rest of the club's all normal-ish people.

Did anyone ever point out the irony in putting a "check your privilege" sticker on a cintiq? I feel like that would've been a very satisfying chimp out.

Sounds like she was hardcore compensating for the fact she was probably otherwise really unremarkable. There are people who are a little off-beat, and then there are people who can't grasp/refuse to grasp the power of a good personality, and therefore pull stunts like this to appear interesting. Did she ever start any problems or do anything weeb-ish? Or was she just sort of a special snowflake?

I fell off the radar for a bit, but to answer the question as to whether my former friend was white or not: she's not. She really lacks tact, though. For another example of that, here's something she once put in the markiplier tag, but has since removed from the tag. I imagine it's still floating around there somewhere since he's mentioned in it, but this was from a while ago. There used to be more posts like this, but it looks like she deleted the rest. Dunno why this one post was so special.

She's made inappropriately sexual posts about other people as well, and justifies it by saying they'll never see it, so it doesn't matter and it's not creepy. She'll accuse similar posts about people who aren't cis men as being extremely creepy and disgusting. You know, misogyny, fetishization, etc. It's obviously different when she does it.
