Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

Another brief one - not as direct as my previous experience, but it wasn't in a place you'd expect to find these losers either so it struck me as odd.

I live in a fairly small British town, with pubs that do bring in some strangers but each has their 'usual crowd', which I happen to be part of for my local. Said pub is very 'traditional', so it's a lot of the middle-lower-class people that frequent it. I'm sure anyone who knows about pubs knows the type I mean. Anyway, a few friends and I are just playing pool and it's a fairly quiet night and I notice a table full of dyed hair - not uncommon, but the colours on display here and the amount of them was eye-catching. Couldn't help but catch their conversation and I caught things like "but isn't he asexual?" and "I consider myself panromantic but".

Seriously hope that was their only visit ever.

My college seems to naturally attract these people. I just got out of class last night and saw in one of the walls somebody scribbled "fuck the patriarchy" in red paint, along with the Venus symbol. What's more cringey is that we don't speak english so this message was written in our own language, and god was it cringey.

I thought these girls were only found in the USA...

Someone I know on Facebook snapped a picture of this kind of thing on the tube. Most tube cars have little slots on the ceiling for advertising cards but occasionally these are left empty and in one of the empty slots someone had scrawled: "All I want for Christmas is an end to Patriarchal society :)". The guy posted it to Facebook with a note saying "I didn't realise these people actually existed". And I had to agree with him. I've never seen this stuff in the wild (or at least outside college campuses), even on the tube where people scrawl all kinds of things on the walls.

So, I go on this one webcomic site a lot. It's a pretty good one. Lots of features and free hosting. The guy who runs it is an absolute saint. He basically pays for everything out of his own pocket. The community is pretty welcoming, too. Thing is, there's kind of this underlying culture of SJWness. It's not too overt, but it still makes me a little paranoid to speak my opinions. I saw a guy get banned for making "sexist comments" when all he was doing was saying that both he and his wife weren't feminists in a discussion about sexism in video games. Granted, the guy was cringy as fuck, but free speech is free speech, man.

Could you please share which webcomic it was? I have a suspicion...

I was hesitant to because despite its shortcomings, it really is a good webcomic hosting site. Plus, powerleveling. Although, I might as well share it. I'm not that active on it anymore anyway. It's comicfury.

Someone wrote something like that on a tram I was on. The funniest thing was that some skinhead dude took one look at it and slapped a 'Burn the Jungle to the ground' (referring to Calais) sticker over it.

I'm in this Facebook group that focusses on body modifications and shit, and they have an 'Afterdark' group where you can beg for attention post things not related to bodymods. When I first joined the group(s) last year, I didn't really pay attention to what people posted and to what people's replies were, until I responded to this girl's post asking what dress her friend should wear. Said something along the lines of 'She should pick the black one because it will make her look slimmer'. What followed next was this enormous shitstorm, calling me a fatshamer. Then came the worst: I misgendered her. Because this friend was a fucking gendervoid shitbag. I then realised this fucking group is filled to the brim with SJW's and Tumblrfeminist. This black admin is a 'feminine trans agender' and instantly calls you out when you are appropriating something or when you misgender someone. Below is a small compilation of bullshit. Sometime I'll make a big compilation for this thread where you can cringe your heart out.

There are a few people in the group who are actually a trans. I'm friends with a few and I truly feel sorry for them, because one time, my friend, who is a FtM trans posted that his dysphoria almost had driven him to committing suicide once, and he wanted to share his story to other trans people and wanted to hear their story of how dangerous it can be. The reactions he got were like 'OH YEAH, WELL, I 'M GENDER FLUID AND I GET DYSPHORIC TOO'. I can't find the thread, but he left the group after he told every genderfluid or agender person to fuck themselves and get raped by ISIS. I felt bad for him. The "feminine trans agender poc" is the cancerous moderator.

First post on the farms (howdy), excuse the powerlevel. 8 years on tumblr and this shit still surprises me every damn day
During my time in college, I was forced to attend a sexual assault survivor group meeting (the irony of forcing me to attend these was apparently lost on my school). The people who came to these meetings were typically friendly, open, and just there to talk in comfortable place. However, there was a small percentage of people who were girls who had all admittedly never had any traumatic experiences and seemed to only go to these meetings for the same reasons pedophiles go to child beauty pageants. As you would expect, these were the most vocal girls in the group.

When I say that it seemed like the tumblrinas got off on people talking about their experiences, I'm not exaggerating. There were a handful of occasions where they would pressure someone who had been quiet to open up and talk about their experience, sometimes to the point of tears. The school appointed therapist who sat in on these meetings didn't believe in interrupting the "flow" of "healing discussion", and would be uninvolved until such an occasion when someone started crying.

During one meeting the tumblrinas were trying to discuss why the presence of fraternities on campus was an inherent danger to every female student. They then agreed that every member of a frat was guilty of violence against women by associating themselves with a frat, it was at this point that they began shaming me for dating the president of one of the fraternities. One of the girls in particular (you just look at her and you know she has a tumblr) went on to actually accuse me of subjecting other girls to assault because, apparently, by having sex with my boyfriend, I continually reinforce the oppression of women by men in fraternities. I stopped going to the meetings after that and tossed out the word 'trigger' to get the school off my back about making me attend them.

And to think, most of us, when we saw that scene in Fight Club where the two lead characters amused themselves by attending survivor groups while not having survived anything, we thought it was ironic commentary on our culture. Not shit that actually happens.

God I hate these people so much.

I was talking to a friend of a friend the other day and she told me that she's a "polyamorous androsexual demigirl" (boy spell-check hated that sentence). There was a pause and I replied honestly that I don't know what that means (her friend next to her laughed so hard he spat out his drink). But unlike most Tumblr children, she actually proceeded to explain those things to me in about 10 minutes. I said "so you're a straight girl?" and walked away.

I attended a conference on freedom of speech and although most presenters were pretty OK. They provided good arguments for hate speech being immoral (illegal was a thing that they were debating was feasable) but there was a transwoman in the audience with pink hair who was heckling throughout the entire conference, vocally supporting that the football team of the university be expelled and criminally charged for an incident that occured (in private that didn't hurt anyone but was politically incorrect) this year, as well as vocally supporting Mizzou and we demand UNC and aggressively stating without any evidence that academic discussion of prejudice was the same as physical assault to minority groups. When I said that some white males and upper caste indians were in poverty and worse off than some POCs she responded by effectively saying that classism didn't exist. The conference was forcefully ended by the MC while she was loudly arguing with other guests.

God, I hate people who turn up to things like this just to yell shit. It's like people who heckle comedians - if you don't like it either leave or complain to the people who organised the conference, don't bother someone who's trying to do their job.

It's pretty well established SJWs don't give a shit about the poor - it's all identity politics to them.

So heres a nice change of pace; I had a good interaction with a SJW today

I was walking to an appointment and as I was turning a corner a jogger and I collided head on. Both of us fall to the ground, but neither of us really has a terrible fall, shallow scratches at most. Just an unfortunate timing of events that neither of us is really at fault for, right? No. He gets up and starts screaming at me and calling me a cunt and whatnot. Mind you, I'm a 5 foot 3 girl and he is easily over 6 feet tall and at least 10 years older than I am. As he's yelling at me, some people who watched it happen come over to help me up and are a bit shocked that he is freaking out. I just yell out "Well fuck you", and at this point he turns around and begins running at me, gets in my face, and then spits right in my face. Fuckin psycho, a real big man to do that. At this point I'm just taken aback and do nothing while he runs away. A bunch of people come over and see if I'm alright, wipe the spittle off me, ect..

Luckily for me a SJW witnessed it and filmed the whole thing. She called the police for me (I'm living in a foreign country and my phone had been stolen last week), walked with me to my appointment, and kept saying how he could not do that to me and how he was only that terrible because I was a female. Can't say I disagreed with her, the man was a right pussy.

Count your blessings he ran. Sometimes when you fire back at a person who's flipping out, they do more than just offensive battery. Next time, for your own safety, do not do that.

Apologies in advance for length.

First off, I'mma come out and confess my sins by saying I was- at one point- a raging SJW (:_(
Granted, I wasn't the worst. My usual sperging went straight to tumblr, and the only time I ever really vomitted out my feminist garble was calling some dude a "misogynistic pig" for claiming women couldn't do something-or-other (he was my friend, too. needless to say, it never happened again). Never claimed to be trans, nor did I hate men or cis or white people. I was pretty lowkey, but I was a whiner on tumblr.

Now onto SJWs I know. I used to be friends with this one chick in middle school up to my junior year of high school, because I moved for my senior year. She went all SJW a whole year after I moved, just a month or two after starting college. Now, she's a self-loathing white person, who also just so happens to be a "demi-boy," and her hobbies include sperging about how all white people should actively be aware of their white privilege, plus sharing links about how hard it is to be TransGender™ and how to deal with one. Plus, she changed her real name from something actually unique and interesting to something so stupid I have to wonder how people still take her shit seriously. Oh yeah, and of course she has a Tumblr and claims to be fictionkin.

I know a few others who aren't actually that bad. I go to an "art" university so I expected to see lots of those kinds of people here. I have a friend who claims to be a genderfluid demisexual panromantic, but she doesn't go awol if you call her a "she" or if you make a joke about "genderfuck" people. In fact, she shits on them along with us. She obviously has a few SJW ideologies- and another group of her own SJW friends- but for the most part, we get along pretty well and we've actually never fought about those things because neither of us find it all that important. In fact, I have more chemistry with her than I do with some self-proclaimed anti-SJW whose also in our class.
