Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

Yesterday I went back to my old alma matter to visit some friends who are still studying there. One of my friends had been manning a stand at Freshers Fair (an event us britfags hold so that newbies can see which societies they want to join) and decided to wander around a bit. I've mentioned my University's Feminism Society before in this thread and sure enough, they had a stand there. I'll just drop in that this friend of mine is the same one I mentioned in one of my earlier posts - the one who tried to join Feminism Society in his first year and was told to fuck off on account of his having a penis.

Anyway, he picked up a freebie from the stand - a condom with the Feminism Society sticker on it. After some research we discovered the condom was a mutual climax one (because what else would it be). Although knowing our Feminism Society, it probably had some spikes installed on the inside.

The funniest part was that a gay guy who lived in the halls of residence we were crashing in saw the condom and said:
"If I was about to have sex with a guy and he pulled out a Feminism Society condom, it'd be the biggest erection killer for me ever" and pinned the condom up on the notice board.

I was also informed that societies now have a "Safe Space Officer" - people who have to report microagressions and triggers and create a "safe environment". Thing is, the students who get appointed to that post apparently don't give a fuck and never report anything because they think the whole thing's stupid. Hopefully this means it'll all come crashing down soon.

This is basically what's actually happening at a lot of Social Justice events or mandatory things in colleges. You have people who care way too much about this shit and try to make new things happen. Then you have the silent majority who don't want to get in trouble with people who have more power who will go along with it because they have to but do a half assed job because they don't really care and are just trying to get through college without any issues. It's a lot easier to let social justice groups hold dumb events and go to mandatory social justice events in your dorm and not do anything then risk being the only person to piss off people you're around for a large part of your time in college.

This is honestly a depressing thought. You shouldn't have to goose-step to the Soc Jus drum just to make sure people don't make your college experience a shit show.

It's depressing but it's how the world works for most people. Why rock the boat instead of just keeping your head down if you know you'll only have to deal with social justice people until you graduate?

Not 100% an IRL encounter but, was looking for apartments/rooms in my neighborhood and found this gem...

My ex-boyfriend used to be a mega SJW (which is ironic and I would go into the details of that, but it would be a huge powerlevel). He still is from what I can tell, I just don't have to put up with it anymore.

My "favorite" memory of this crap was when I brought up that feminism isn't needed in the U.S. anymore and he lost his shit. He was all "What about rape culture? The wage gap?" I basically told him rape culture isn't what we have here in the U.S and whatnot and that the so-called wage gap is more complex than feminists are making it out to be. He literally just started screeching buzzwords at me and I basically was like "lol whatever I'm done talking about this."

Edit: Needed to add that he still tries to get into Twitter debates with people and no one ever engages him.

Anyone who swears in something like this is totally beneath contempt. Housing notices are one of the many situations where one should act like a grown-up.

Audacious of such a practiced SJW to mansplain to you like that.

After seeing someone else mention that their alma mater has jumped on board the black-only dormitory bandwagon, I decided to check mine...
We don't have black-only housing but we do have two kinds of snowflake housing. One is for what appears to be your garden-variety LGBTQ? folks and is dedicated to providing an inclusive and judgement-free space, blah blah. That's fine. Whatever. But the other one is literally just for SJWs. Like, they have periodic meetings about social justice issues and talking about "POC" issues and "gender" issues. I can't imagine how those discussions go - the only way to go about not triggering anyone would be to just conduct the meeting by sitting in silence. Oh, and the SJW housing people get priority seating in a class about "how to learn in a safe space". Of course they're likely the only ones to take it in the first place.
The kicker is that literally an entire dormitory building has been taken over by the snowflake housing. Upperclassmen were told that they could not be given on-campus housing this year due to "lack of space" - which I originally attributed to the fact that one dorm building is being rebuilt, but now suspect is also due to a whole other building being snowflake-only.
One more fun tidbit: an article about BLM protesting at the uni recently came out, and people were citing "Trump Coalition" and "People posting in facebook groups about going to Trump rallies" as examples of "dangerous levels of racism".
