Encounters With SJWs/Tumblristas Offline or In Unusual Communities

My favorite folk singer did a live show with Pete Seeger once and they did a song about a plane crash full of deported immigrants. And Seeger read a poem written by a famous Latino poet about the same thing I think. It was a pretty relevant topic even back in the day. Can see how it would be cringey if done wrong
It's one thing if it's a show with Pete Seeger in a music venue. It's quite another if you just stumble into some dive off Central for taco tuesday. Also, for an area with as many homeless as the city had none of their songs addressed that at all.

I've apparently triggered someone before.
A long time ago, back when Skype was more relevant, I ran a group tumblr blog. We were writing in our group Skype, and for whatever reason, the topic of skin picking, scab peeling, and very small forms of masochism came up. I don't know exactly what set this person off (I last remember someone mentioning they liked the feeling of using tweezers), but they flipped the fuck out and told us to stop. Apparently they couldn't handle discussions of "self-harm". Shit was fucking awkward, and I wanted to leave the group after that.

Twice I've had random white girls with brightly colored hair go off on me in public for 'appropriating Muslim/Middle Eastern Culture' because of my headscarf (I'm a married Jewish woman btw). Once was at the Children's hospital with my ill child and it was super awkward but we just kind of wandered off and she didn't follow us. The second time was at our local town festival last October and I got told the way I was wearing my scarf as a turban was appropriating African culture. This one was shut down with a quick Fuck You, I'm Jewish. But it's interesting to me of the many many head covering women I've met both Muslim and POC the only ones who ever said anything about my scarf were white stereotypical SJW people.

I'm surprised they didn't bring up the poor Palestinians getting literally murdered every day.

The one at the hospital I think she was more trying to score publicity points for talking loudly to create a scene and when nothing happened just went about her day.

As for the one at the festival she was a big lady very very big. And I think chasing us down would have been too much effort LOL

Your experience makes me think of something that happened to me on an holiday in France.
A pal of mine was wearing the once popular t-shirt "Prague Capital of weed and whores" (we are both Czech BTW, him from birth and I for six years now). We were in a bar when a typical white americunt girl approached us to say how much his t-shirt was offensive to Czech people. When we said that we were actually Czech, she wined that we were "desecrating" our own culture. So we told her to fuck off in Czech.

See, that's the hilarious yet depressing thing about SJWs; they are so disconnected from reality, that they take offense to things that they really shouldn't, if only because they themselves aren't part of that culture. Hell, why the hell would a pasty, white canadian give even the most fleeting of fucks about what goes on in Africa? Don't get me wrong, it sucks. It sucks a lot. But the cold, hard reality is that most people have enough shit to worry about in their lives without thinking about 'micro aggressions' or mildly distasteful things on a t-shirt (Me? I would have loved that t-shirt).

Seriously, it's like these guys were infected with the (impotent) rage virus from 28 Days Later. It's like they can only climax if they are popping blood vessels in their head.

Have these people never met an Albanian or Bosnian or other, you know, Eastern European Muslim? It annoys me how white stereotypical SJW people think all Muslims are Arabs. (Also, solely based on Google image search, tichels look like what women wear when they have cancer and not at all like hijabs.)

Because while thinking they're ultra woke, they actually don't know shit about race, religion, and ethnicities outside their own country.

Honestly they just don't care. They only want to stand up for whatever minority is popular at the moment it seems. They'd get really pissed to know my Egyptian Muslim friend sent me some hijab's she bought that I wear in hijab style from time to time lol

I find that offensive, I've been to Prague thrice now and your selection in whores was always incredibly disappointing.

I've brought this up before, but the fallout on Tumblr of the Boston Marathon Bombings was a clusterfuck for precisely that reason.

Found this in a food related group on Facebook.

Could you elaborate? I don't remember this.

It was being blamed on the bombers being entitled white males instead of being Islamic terrorists, and lots of getting offended that anybody would even suggest that Islam had anything to do with it.

We would see this again in the Orlando Pulse shooting, except the shooter wasn't white, but white people were still at fault somehow.
