It has been over for a long time. Everything after stream.me has really just been a long goodbye.

The sektur was dead the moment it was born, and the true birth of the sektur was the Baked Alaska implosion stream, 6 years gone now. We have watched the rise and fall of Ethan Ralph, but the fall has been longer and he fell much further than he ever climbed.

It has been fascinating. Betrayal after betrayal, bridge burned after bridge burned. The rise and fall of countless z-list wanna be e-celebs and at the center there were two driving forces that it all revolved around, Mister Metokur and Ethan Ralph.

The cast has been endless. From alogs like the Council of Evil including weirdos like the Daimyo and MormonShaggy back all the way to Plate Gang and the Anime Mafia (lol), From Flamenco and Gator to callers like DarkVulgar and Butters we have seen Ethan Ralph outlive and outlast everyone. Everyone is gone. Zidan, Gator, Rand, AndyWarski, Flamenco, Bibble, the weird ass kid from InfoWars, SouthernDingo, even the hosts of the other shows like TonkaSaw, Joachim, Ancapistan, gone. Friend, Foe, tangential acquaintences, gone gone gone.

Nick Rekieta is a blood feud who doesn't even talk to or about Ethan. Dick Masterson laughs at him now, Ethan is basically a side show freak for Dick at this point. Ethan is Dick's Beetlejuice. No one left to him but the catboys who think he is a joke and Baked Alaska who is a fed.

Ethan Ralph drew his energy from those around him. Without anyone around him the show is literally just getting wasted, yelling at people to donate and watching Tucker who is just as phony politically as Ethan is himself.

Always the "consummate host" he tried for a while to live above the drama, at least on air. When his star waned and he could no longer get good guests on the show, when the Richard Spencers of the world would throw him a bone once every two years for old time's sake and guests with other platforms fell away to those other platforms, Ethan became the drama publicly (he was always behind the scenes drama) and it has destroyed his life completely.

He wrung every last drop out of his 15 minutes of infamy and became a lolcow in the process. His demons were never defeated, his character never grew, his story arc has been a downward spiral for 5+ years.

How many times have people said "this is the end of Ethan Ralph and the Killstream" only to have him lift his head from his keyboard, give the screen a waxy eyed xaniberries death stare and say "You cant abort the Retort!"?

I think he has one more story left in him.

He's been on a Xanax and booze bender ever since Guntamania (January). There hasn't been a single time he's appeared at least somewhat sober since then, and his body is very visibly failing him. Even back in 2021 he was telling Faith that he was vomiting up black ooze and he was "a-fixin' on dyin' soon," and this 3 month long Xanax and booze bender while he struggles to pay bills and burns what few bridges he has left is just speeding things along.

Yeah, the poll was kind of confusingly worded. I think Ralph's going to die by year-end, but the Sektur will definitely outlive him.

If Ethan Ralph had any sense for his own health and well-being, he would have just abandoned the internet and focused on a steady job to provide for his kids. All I have now is pity for a man who is slowly killing himself with crappy food, drugs and alcohol. It's honestly getting a little hard to watch. It's almost like Lowtax where he slowly withered away and become An Hero near the end after he hosted his hotdog scarfing 200 viewer stream.

The entire rise and fall of Internet Celebrities is basically a cycle that has been going on for more than I can remember, and I think to take away from this is:

Never think you have infinite money/ Fame.

Every time a person becomes suddenly famous, the fame gets into their heads and they all think this money and fame would become infinite. It isn't. Not even the most stable job has infinite money. At any point, your life would be upended and that money would be gone. Your fame would disappear and no one will remember you. Most people outside of your friends and family won't remember you. You will not become a influential figure in history. You will only be, at best, a footnote on a Wikipedia page that everyone would forget after a year.

What Ralph failed to realize is that his fame would be fleeting. ((Some Dude)) literally told Ralph to his face that he will be completely forgotten and cast by the wayside, in which Ralph didn't seem to take into consideration. He thinks this money would be infinite and he let the fame get to his head. His combative personality also made him refuse to even take a step back to evaluate what he needed to do to save himself from a downward spiral since he thinks accepting responsibility is "showing weakness". It's down to the point where Ralph has nowhere else to go to except for finding a new job.

Ralph is now another moment in this vicious cycle of e-famous people.

Not sure about the dying part, but I do agree that there's been stagnation in the sektur for months now. It's kind of disappointing; the one thing I could always rely on was Ralph doing something insanely stupid and hilarious to get my attention. But now he can't even bring himself to be entertainingly bad. Maybe it's oversaturation, but I think it peaked with Portugal II.
I think at this point, there's two problems: 1) he's run out of people to burn bridges with. At this point in his career, he's destroyed a working relationship with so many people that the only people he's left to associate with are no name wignats. So when he inevitably gets into fights with him, it's nowhere near as entertaining as it would be if he were to get into fights with, say, Metokur or Rekieta. And 2) I have the feeling that he realised after Portugal II that he's going to keep getting fucked with in public every time he streams or hosts some shitty event. Hence why he fled to Mexico around July.

Until this point, Ralph has been cursed to suffer a loss in everything he does, yet he's been able to push on due to the power of spite.
The cycle of loss and spite could have continued for the rest of Ralph's natural life, doomed to fail at everything he does but the rage this filled him with would push him to live.
Unfortunately, Ralph made a terrible realization recently.
He realized that to "win" all he had to do was stay alive.
The curse of the ralphamale will not allow Ralph to actually succeed at anything he sets out to do, so this realization means that it's only a matter of time until he takes the ultimate ralphamale L
