Most of these are nothingburgers, his opsec isn't bad at all unlike some other niggers.
Then I saw an account for Venmo in that list, gives a name:

Sounds Dutch to me.
All of his computers in his videos show his username as "Johann", in his Discord server his friends refer to him as Johann, and I'm pretty sure Venmo is banking related stuff (not personally familiar with it, but that's what I found when searching it up) so a real name is very likely.
Also noted in his Discord server, I also found out that he lives in California, and is trying to move to Portland, Oregon.
Fortunately for him, Johannes Beijer is a common name and also the name of a famous Dutch explorer, so anything relating to him is buried by everyone else with the same name, and I couldn't find anything else.
For the burning skin colour question, I would say he is half white and half something else (most likely Mexican but who knows).

Considering the Dutch once colonised Indonesia, this is very possible.
Still seems a bit too white to be fully Indonesian to me personally, but that may just be the video editing he does.
If this old Steam profile picture is actually him (lol he changed it now), then yeah that's confirmed he's at least partially Indonesian.

Wish he spent more time and dove into more detail on the PS/2 Speech Adapter and it's older brother the PCjr Speech Attachment. He never really even gets the PS/2 one fully working right...they're both fascinating little bits of hardware, essentially direct descendants of the TI-99/4A speech synthesizer module but on steroids.

Nostalgia Nerd has recently started selling off a fair bit of his gear, some the items being channel donations, and he's been copping some grief over it. Some people reckon it's because his arcade-themed vegan bar is tanking, to the point where his former partner wants nothing to do with it (and him) anymore.

That said, NN is a lolcow himself, and not just because of his on-again off-again relationship with Octav1us (who really needs her own thread on here at some stage).

NN used to be interesting to watch. His exact decline began with the video This Mysterious Computer Could Prove Time Travel Exists. It got millions of views. Ever since then he got addicted to chasing that high and started producing blatant clickbait bullshit, attempting to blend in creepypasta/urban legend content with half his videos in hopes of scoring the next viral video instead of doing legit retro content. All his recent videos are slop content with mystery box titles: "This place is insane" "Did This game kill Three people" "This phrase ruined the internet".

It became clear that he's just an opportunistic leach with no actual love of retro tech and everyone forgot about him.

Word on the street is that one of his script writers is Octav1us, a big tiddy retro Twitch streamer with BPD who probably deserves her own thread here. At one stage it was rumoured that NN and Octav1us were fucking each other.

Perifractic gives off a similar vibe, only smarmier. That said, at least he makes some cool stuff now and then. Still not enough to make me want to watch him, though.
