I love how the video is unlisted (was it always?) and the few comments present are all appropriately mocking Epic Games.

The only thing that saves it slightly is Youtube sucking corporate cock and removing the dislike bar. Just imagine the dislikes on that pile of shit video?I love how the video is unlisted (was it always?) and the few comments present are all appropriately mocking Epic Games.
We don't have to imagine. The only thing that saves it slightly is Youtube sucking corporate cock and removing the dislike bar. Just imagine the dislikes on that pile of shit video?
How can they make EGS not dogshit that's only useful for getting free games?
What's with the TikTok colors?
Because Tim Sweeny wants to lord over you. Seriously, why did Remedy take the deal? It's not like they were hurting for cash. Also, why is Alan Wake 2 only on shitty chinese spyware instead of the american spywate called steam at least?
I could be wrong, but I think reason Remedy agreed is because Tim promised them a better publishing deal, Remedy kinda always had issues with their publishers and from what I recall a good amount of money from Controls earnings were spent on getting Alan Wake rights from Microsoft.Because Tim Sweeny wants to lord over you. Epic probably let them keep the rights to the game, that would go a long way.I could be wrong, but I think reason Remedy agreed is because Tim promised them a better publishing deal, Remedy kinda always had issues with their publishers and from what I recall a good amount of money from Controls earnings were spent on getting Alan Wake rights from Microsoft.
Maybe don't wait three years to implement a basic shopping cart? Crazy idea, I know.Case in point why hiding dislikes does nothing to hide bad reception.

Also did they pre-emptively unlist this due the bad reception? What a bunch of pussies.
Chances are it’s an embedded video on a website somewhere, and it’s not meant to be seen on its own. Not gonna stop us, of course.Case in point why hiding dislikes does nothing to hide bad reception.

I seem to remember someone saying something about Piracy being a service issue? Well, it probably wasn't too relevant to this market, no big deal.Epic just asked me to do a captcha to open the launcher. Wtf, is this a thing? I don't think I ever had to do that in steam or gog.
Didn't help that it's buggy as shit and didn't work, had to reset a bunch of times until it gave up and just let me access it without the captcha. This launcher really is a big steaming pile of shit.
That's new, or at least newish. I don't think I've bothered with the launcher for well over a year since every time I tried to open it I was forced to go through TFA again due to "This is definitely a new machine/location that you're logging in from" being the default and only option. Eventually, even a "free" copy of GTA V/Subnautica wasn't worth the annoyance.Epic just asked me to do a captcha to open the launcher. Wtf, is this a thing? I don't think I ever had to do that in steam or gog.

I do believe GoG does have a captcha thing but only when you log in via web browserEpic just asked me to do a captcha to open the launcher. Wtf, is this a thing? I don't think I ever had to do that in steam or gog.

Was it taken off GOG? Got it for free there a few years back. The only thing about Epic that is good, in my opinion, was the game Unreal.
Ironically, that game's only available on Steam.
They also bought Harmonix the makers of all the Guitar Hero series, as for the whole "higher cuts for developers" thing..mmm..I think that's true, but I can only see this being a good thing for indie devs and companies who are on their own like it was with the Hitman developers or Remedy. The thing I see people still praising epic for for whatever reason is the claim of higher cuts to developers. Is this still true and how long do you think it can be maintained? Apparently they just bought out Artstation, a site that markets itself as a hub for professional digital artists or something. They're just going to end up a bloated monolith with no direction IMO.
