This just in. A judge in California has just ruled that a San Bernardino County school board can no longer enforce a forced outing policy for transgender students. It also ruled that teachers don't have to use a trans student's wrong name or old pronouns if the student's parents don't consent.

This is extremely important because this policy would have forced teachers to use those wrong names and pronouns for many trans students who were not out to their parents. This is so important because many trans people feel more free, many trans students feel more free to be themselves in the school environment than they do at home.

A lot of LGBT people don't feel safe at home for a variety of reasons, and many trans students are able to use their name and pronouns within the school environment. Studies have also shown that allowing trans students to use their name and pronouns in the school environment is good for their mental health. It reduces depression, anxiety, suicidality. Meanwhile, forced outing policies raise all of these risks.

I know that there are many trans students that follow me that probably go to this school district. It's a fairly large school district. And a number of them likely felt unsafe because of this policy. And I know from anecdotes that many were worried about being forcibly outed to their parents.

These kinds of policies are having their day in court around the United States right now, and it's really important to get these victories early on because these victories are then going to be used as precedent down the road.

So anyway, congratulations to the trans students in the San Bernardino County School District.

I can't believe Erin went with this color, cut, and style. The color is wrong for him (though to be fair most unnatural colors look bad on men 25+ years old) and the cut just brings more attention to the worst part of his face (chin and jaw). Unnatural hair colors like purple are also bad since they fade quickly and require touch ups. Since Erin is not a natural blond, that means he will have to bleach his roots and re-dye it to keep it looking good. Let's be honest though, he's too lazy to do all of that, so his hair is going to look like absolute shit soon.

His old haircut and style sucked because it was never actually styled or taken care of. It always looked frizzy and/or greasy. But if your goal is to appear more feminine, then he should have kept his hair long. Not only does the shorter hair make him look more masculine, it's also much harder to keep shorter hair looking cute even under the best circumstances. You can't just wash it and let it be like you can with long hair, you have to keep it styled.

There's a reason women on beauty related forums encourage women to stay away from short styles, not just because most girls regret it, but also because even if you like it, you HAVE to be willing to keep it styled properly.

Being a lover of video games is one thing, there's a good population of women who go hard on games they love. It's less that it makes him a man and more marks him as having a single digit number of braincells in his skull: I think the main issue most of us would bring to the table would be something that actually affects the voting population and the workers of the state, not the most braindead take on IP usage and whining about daddy nintendo. As Mayor Travis said, even things that had to deal with finances and video games would make more sense. But this motherfucker couldn't push a bill related to getting people jobs, enriching current jobs, civic improvements, or a myriad of other issues. Most gamers aren't terminally online enough to think this is a big issue if they were politicians, and those who do usually stay out of politics or do not have a year's worth of experience to know the voters might want some other issue like transport or taxes address. Zac, sadly, should know better, and he's pushing laws he likes for himself alone rather than a voter base and himself. It's selfish and stupid.
