It's actually plausible, but that doesn't mean it's true. (If that makes sense...)

Anyone who frequents the SRS thread will know that "NO REGRETS" is practically a meme. Just check this out:
/search/22547558/?q=no+regrets&t=post&c[thread]=76786&o=relevance
Alt link: https://kiwifarms.pl/search/22547711/?q=no+regrets&t=post&c[thread]=76786&o=relevance

Troons are delusional, so even if they've been botched and are suffering from horrible post-surgery complications, they will still insist that they have NO REGRETS YOU GUISE. They're afraid that their surgeons will ghost them if they complain too much in public, and the wider troon community might also ostracize them for being a debbie-downer. Pooners are particularly vulnerable to this.

Even just admitting it to themselves is a terrifying prospect, because what do you do if you're a botched troon who regrets getting surgery? There is no going back. You have irrevocably altered your body in a ruinous way. I imagine this is where suicide comes in for many of them. Others just disappear, maybe quietly detransition and try to make the best of it.
Very few actually take a stand and fight back against the SRS butchers and the troon community who led them down this path.
There was a case where a guy cut off some trannies' penises in horribly botched "sex-change" operations and the only way that they were able to get one of them to press charges was by showing him that the surgeon had been getting off on it.
Rogers promised Michael Abercrombie he'd remove his genitals in a four-hour operation. That time passed, complications developed and bleeding refused to stop.

Abercrombie, now known as Madison, says she didn't feel like a victim at first, but changed her mind after prosecutors presented her Rogers' checkered criminal history, peppered with allegations of cannibalism and a pornography collection that included photographs of severed genitals.

"I didn't know his motivation when I went into it," she said. "I was under a lot of emotional stress, and it seemed like there was no alternative."

It shows you where the limit of your data is
If they desisted because the regret s made them kill themselves then that's highly relevant

I believe his grades are 100% real, but Tony is a complete mental midget
I imagine his grades are essentially the result of bothering the professors 24/7 and learning to the test as opposed to any genuine intellect. In much the same way as he 'studies to the test' on troon ideology

I think that's why he seems so utterly perplexed when people disagree with him and can't engage with their points, he specifically spends all his time memorising that question 1's answer is c and so on, and doesn't actually grasp that you can come to conclusions based on understanding a subject

I think this is why he's so confident in his female presentation, someone saw him in his Lego earrings and pumps and said 'wow you really look femme Erin' probably being nice to the awkward new tranny and so he internalised Lego earrings + pumps = feminine in the same way e=mc2
I knew a person who graduated with a 3.5 GPA, all the classes in their major were As. But when they got into the work field they couldn't hack it and was fired. Repeatedly. They finally got a job in retail and worked their way up to manager and love it.

School is not real life. Some people are really, really good at the type of thinking that university requires, but absolutely awful when it comes time to putting skills into practice. Tony strikes me as that sort.

Leor Sapir makes a correct point about drawing conclusions from incomplete data, Tony takes his analogy and gets it arse-over-tit: "People who have a bad experience always complain about it!"
ErinInTheMorn-1689665295320010752-thread.png

Lol. I’m glad Leor is realizing the most reasonable response to Tony is to point and laugh.
Leor: Not answering a survey doesn’t mean you aren’t satisfied.
Tony: You’re wrong, Leor. Not answering a survey doesn’t mean you aren’t satisfied.

‪The cool part is that we don’t need to know whether they regret it or not to know that it’s wrong to cut off someone’s healthy organs and claim it is a psychological treatment‬ or that it turns them into the other sex.
I'm telling you guys, these idiots on Twitter don't even read. Like, I might be joking when I say they can't (I'm not, they can't), but they obviously don't. Tony was completely primed to object to anything Leor said, so what Leor said was irrelevant, Tony knew it was "absolutely terrible" logic. Sure, Leor was saying basic knowledge no one objects to, and Tony didn't, but the important thing is that Leor sucks and needs to be dunked on. Tony can't back down (it's not manly for one), that would be admitting he was wrong and he never is, so he now he has to point to his credentials (worthless as he shows regularly) to defend his position against what he imagined Leor said. As Tony explains, his objection isn't to Leor's correct point his objection is to what he thinks Leor meant by saying something true and unobjectionable. And that's why he Tony needed to expose his "absolutely terrible" logic and misleading true statements.

To quote one of the most brilliant and intellectual movies ever created by humanity that people hate only because Zack Snyder held a mirror up to our modern souls:

Somebody should teach me how to do AI so I can put Batfleck's lines in Tony's "girl" voice. Imagine he's talking about the genocide, not Superman.

Nah, that's not the case fren. The cup size represents the difference between the under breast circumference (band size) and the bust circumference. So a woman who's a 36 D has a 36" under boob with 40" bust and a 32 B is 32" band with 38" bust (D represents a 4" difference and B is a 2" difference).
If keeping band size constant while increasing cup size increases cup volume and if keeping cup size constant while increasing band size also increases cup volume, then increasing both at the same time would increase cup volume as well.
I know. But she was just explaining how small a 36 D appears.

This process is known as "extinction." The spaces in which our traits, even whole identities, shrink as we discover more and more places in which those traits or identities cannot be expressed.
Fuck, for some of us that "fetish" box is what kept us from going extinct entirely.
So he went by "Erin" online since he was 12, asserting his woman identity, but that identity could only be expressed on fetish forums.

OK.

No, this means there was something he was saying that was overly sexual and weird, and THAT'S what he was getting kicked out of places for, not because he used a female identity online, the easiest place in the world to affirm who you think you are without pesky visuals getting in the way.

So what’s the worst that can come to Zac from this controversy?
In close races, sometimes the image of taking a lot of money from outside the state makes you come off as a grifter and a Professional Politician rather than someone who is listening to the local community. It's at least something you can ding them on pretty reliably if you're their opponent, even if the money is all good and not being misspent.

Speaking of which, he's applying this tactic to the Florida overview review again:

Systematic reviews should be done by subject matter experts who can disentangle the nuance around topics being explored, especially true for gender affirming care.
Not done by dentists, like Florida’s systematic review was done.

Erin Reed (@ErinInTheMorn) · Aug 10, 2023 · 10:57 PM UTC
Did you know that none of the supposed “systematic reviews” that anti-trans activists cite feature a single person who has treated gender dysphoria in trans youth?

Erin Reed (@ErinInTheMorn) · Aug 10, 2023 · 10:57 PM UTC
On top of it, Florida’s “systematic review” was found be manipulating research by presupposing an outcome and engineering their “review” with an end goal of “end all care”
As found in court subpoenas of a PowerPoint slide.
This is a bit like his most recent attack on Littman's 2018 ROGD paper, in that Tony's attack is so exaggerrated it's easy to see through.

First off, the Florida paper is not a systematic review, but an overview of systematic reviews (sometimes called a "systematic overview"). I made this mistake initially, as did the "Yale paper" (the document written by the now-infamous Meredith McNamara).

As previously discussed, the Florida review wasn't conducted by "a dentist", but by two experts in health research at McMaster University. Here are the credentials of that "dentist" Tony is fond of attacking (a woman, what a surprise):
bp.png
Dr. Brignardello-Petersen obtained a DDS degree from the University of Chile in 2007, and practiced dentistry before moving to Canada in 2010. Dr. Brignardello-Petersen received an MSc (2012) and a PhD (2016) degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Healthcare Research at the Institute of Health Policy, Management, and Evaluation, at the University of Toronto. She also holds an MSc degree in biostatistics from the University of Chile (2015). After spending two years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at HEI, she joined as a full-time faculty member in 2018.

Anyway, back to his first claim:
Tony said:
Systematic reviews should be done by subject matter experts who can disentangle the nuance around topics being explored, especially true for gender affirming care.
This… is not an accepted practice in healthcare research? This is just Tony inventing extra hurdles to clear for research whose conclusions he doesn't like. You can quickly see how we'd get into trouble were we to attempt a systematic review of, say, lobotomy, but the review team had to be assembled from people ideologically committed to lobotomy.

Tony said:
Did you know that none of the supposed “systematic reviews” that anti-trans activists cite feature a single person who has treated gender dysphoria in trans youth?
I like how he puts "systematic reviews" in scare-quotes. Apart from being irrelevant and partly unknown (both NICE reviews and I think the Finnish review were institutionally authored), it is also wrong: the Swedish systematic review included Per-Anders Rydelius (English version), who worked at the Karolinska pediatric gender clinic. Here he is being interviewed on the first episode of the Swedish documentary Trans Train:
TransTrain-Per-Anders-Rydelius.jpgSBU-Per-Anders-Rydelius.pngActPeds-Per-Anders-Rydelius.png

And lastly:
Tony said:
On top of it, Florida’s “systematic review” was found be manipulating research by presupposing an outcome and engineering their “review” with an end goal of “end all care”
We've covered this before, but Tony hasn't shown this in general, and he in particular hasn't shown that whatever political considerations were at work in Florida affected the two researchers at McMaster University in Canada. At this point I honestly think Romina Brignardello-Petersen and Wojtek Wiercioch should sue Tony for defamation, as he's saying that they — experts in health research — manipulated their work on demand.

i'm interested by the wording "feature a single person" - @Geranium inferred it meant authored by, but i read at as meaning some sort of case report, i.e. the opposite of a systematic review.

i actually think that it can be better for people who aren't directly involved in the fields they're reviewing to analyse the related data because it removes a potential source of bias. in an ideal world you'd give someone data with no context whatsoever and ask them to tell you about the numbers. like there are certain fields where they just use the same calculations in almost every paper, even though the assumptions under which those calculations are statistically valid don't hold. everyone does it cos everyone else does it. that research would produce more meaningful results if data analysis was done by someone who didn't just repeat the same invalid methods they see in every paper.

if tony is so confident that all these academics in healthcare research, including one's so brilliant they got a faculty position after only 2 years as a post doc, he should write his own systematic review. he'd have to really mangle the inclusion criteria to get anything like the results he wants. mostly i want him to do it so i can laugh at his stupidity.

He shouldn't have to emotionally labor to explain things to you fascists just so he can have the right to exist, bigot. This is absolutely terrible logic.

Yet somehow no one cared to check the Death Registry...
In fear of finding the brave and stunning men under their dead name, presumably.

Not coincidently it is the MT Freedom Caucus who filed the paperwork calling for the Campaign Finance investigation to be opened into Zac. So it is looking a little bit "witch hunty" on the part of the MTFreedom Caucus at this point. It also doesn't help that exactly zero local news outlets have written an article into this investigation, so based on where we stand now this whole investigation is looking like it will be a big nothing burger.
I wouldn't be surprised. Even if Zac gets reelected by a Missoula college force committed to pissing off republican mommy and daddy, I don't worry too much about him shitting up the house for more than a week again. He's likely to dig into old wounds out of spite and there we go, shut the fuck up and vote from your seat young man if you can't play nice with the grown ups. Like a Montana sideshow.

Leor Sapir makes a correct point about drawing conclusions from incomplete data, Tony takes his analogy and gets it arse-over-tit: "People who have a bad experience always complain about it!"
I suddenly feel great about my knowledge of statistics thanks to trans researcher Erin Reed being a self appointed researcher and being worse than me at it. Thanks, glad I can get a job by pulling things out of my ass too.

I can't decide whether Tony's utter lack of empathy is "just" narcissism or whether there's a more serious psychopathy at play.
Narcissism can get that dire. He's mostly self serving, and if serving himself means telling others invalid news then it's ok with him, he won't feel the direct consequences of it - after all, look at all his likes and asspats, people love him and see him as an authority and he can't be wrong!

I think if you showed him direct consequences from his actions he'd go into turbo denial mode and become really defensive, so he'd know what guilt is and that it makes him look bad. It's just super easy to be extra callous on the internet where you're behind a screen and no one knows you're a dog and you can't see other's faces, you just farm big number likes. He's an in the moment guy.

Masters in sociology, attempted a PhD, and thinks his SurveyMonkey questionnaires are comparable to medical research.
They are: see all the likes and all the interviews he gets? See how much he's cited?

He doesn't process that this could happen with shit like "vaccines cause autism". He's appealing to a (niche) majority, and everyone agreeing with him is a sign he is correct and therefore an authority that's right. I don't know if his brain can think father than that.

As a disclaimer, I'm probably leaning towards the theory Erin Reed had his brain fried by drugs and asspats so his already poor future planning and short term consequence meter is fucked up to the point he just isn't putting two and two together that he's a callous dickhead. I think he works off his audience (as he talked about his multiple attempts at mimicking others) so a lack of an in-person auditorium comprised of a variety of people instead of twatters helps distort it. I feel bad saying he just comes off as a dumbass to me, and I could be very well mistaking malice for stupidity and incompetence because I think that lowly of him.

I think that's why he seems so utterly perplexed when people disagree with him and can't engage with their points, he specifically spends all his time memorising that question 1's answer is c and so on, and doesn't actually grasp that you can come to conclusions based on understanding a subject
Great way to put it, succinct.

In my opinion, Tony has some genuine borderline traits
Very good observation. Mood swings & inappropriate, intense anger are the two I see the least of, but he could be hiding them from online better. I remember his big bitch outs with others and shitting on those damn dirty detrans with a startlingly nasty attitude out of nowhere, so he could just be good at tempering it online to a point. The profound feeling of emptiness is very much him.

Imagine just chilling at the beach until you see these two taking a stroll by the water...
Iä! Iä! Cthulhu fhtagn!
Is this to imply the viewer of these two lovely ladies would think that these atlantian beauties were spawns of Dagon, or is it to imply that the viewer instead would instantly be driven to madness and cheering for the world to end, attempting to summon and praise the great old one on the beach then and there? Because I can believe either.

There was a case where a guy cut off some trannies' penises in horribly botched "sex-change" operations and the only way that they were able to get one of them to press charges was by showing him that the surgeon had been getting off on it.
I wish I could give this 5+ islamic contents. It's hard to describe otherwise.

Strange how you hear a much different story about regret when you talk to the surgeons compared to when you survey the troons.
Good find. Sadly you're wrong since trans people are authorities on their own bodies and totally are saying this because *shuffles papers* ah, they were paid by big republicans to genocide trans people with false research.

School is not real life. Some people are really, really good at the type of thinking that university requires, but absolutely awful when it comes time to putting skills into practice. Tony strikes me as that sort.
Kiwis who suck at school, take comfort. You're likely better than you think you are. This man has a job grifting people of their money and fooling himself into believing his own lies, you likely can get a better and more fulfilling job than him.

I might be joking when I say they can't (I'm not, they can't), but they obviously don't.
Hardcore twitter users feel like the epitome of TL;DR. Somehow they read the words but don't grasp what they mean, functionally illiterate.

Also fuck you for making me think of Batman vs Superman.

You can quickly see how we'd get into trouble were we to attempt a systematic review of, say, lobotomy, but the review team had to be assembled from
That's different: EVERYONE knows lobotomy is wrong (editor's note: who is everyone?) while EVERY STUDY and EVERYONE who's ever READ and SEEN trans studies knows (e/n: which studies?) that TRANSITIONING IS THE ONLY WAY and 100% BACKED BY THE TRUE SCIENCE.

I think this might how it actually plays out in the moment in Erin Reed's head. I say in the moment since he seems to come to a "true" statement, in this case all trans people who get medical transitioning are happy, then tries to cover the (am)hole with as many shitty patches of excuses as possible to make it work. If you choose to say he's wrong and misinterpret his facts, it's ok, he'll think of another reason lightning fast to patch over the one you just ripped into, or convince you it IS patched up right and you're the one too stubborn to see it.

I think that's one of the reasons I loath him to be honest: he's not the brightest, at best he's average, but he's great at fooling the onlookers who don't read too much into it or want to be told that their point is right into thinking he's making intelligent points and statements. He's harder to dismantle without having the patience to read and take his pseudoresearcher jargon apart, he gets by on twitter not being full of Geraniums and Not Dr. Evils, and when people like that DO appear AND take the time to dismantle it, most of his audience's eyes glaze over and ignore it. Successful at copying the notes, unsuccessful at putting it into his own words, but he's on a platform that eats that shit up so it's not usually brought up. He's a more boring cow to get into due to his jargon and can be glossed over in spite of bluffing like crazy.

everyone does it cos everyone else does it. that research would produce more meaningful results if data analysis was done by someone who didn't just repeat the same invalid methods they see in every paper.
Are you saying that scientists are fallible? You saying research backed authorities make bad calls or misinterpret data due to human error when that data lines up with all these correct studies on trans people? You saying Erin Reed's degree is meaningless when he can't apply basic gray area thinking to his black and white argument (isn't that also a cluster B trait?)? You fucking crazy, experts are experts for a reason.

Meanwhile, he hasn't posted on Twitter in… 4 hours (it's currently 8.12am UTC):
He wants to move, but he forgot if he doesn't have a villain to dunk on he can't win. He wants the platform he's on to let him be the Harlem Globe Trotters to his supervillain enemies, always dunking on them and getting cheering claps from the crowd and the opposition too powerless to fight back. He wants to demonstrate that he's better than his enemies consistently, with no variables that can't be controlled by mods to interrupt his stunning beautiful performance of being better than others (so give him attention and likes for being superior).

But so does everyone else on twitter and it's why most of them drop hugboxes. Hugboxes are great with comfy mods letting you be right, but there's no enemy to argue with and get 10 points on since most people are too fucking smart to sign up for a hugbox of an opposing ideology (and if they did anyway, doesn't matter: they'll get banned shortly and don't return). So Erin keeps on twitter and keeps yelling that YOU are defeated and not him for he cannot get mods to do it anymore. Sad, many such cases across the twitter political spectrum.

He shouldn't have to emotionally labor to explain things to you fascists just so he can have the right to exist, bigot. This is absolutely terrible logic.

true, it is epistemically exploitative of me to expect him to justify anything he says. he is in the most oppressed minority, and therefore the only person who'se truth would be more true than his would be someone who is a member of multiple intersecting minorities, such as a black, disabled, trans woman.

we should be grateful that he even puts in the efforts he does to present evidence for his claims given that the expectation to do so is, of itself, exploitative.

Thinking about Tony's 0 regret rate, i'm going to say it again.Even if nobody really regretted surgery then doesn't that prove how delusional these people are?It would mean they really believe sex changes (Inb4 troon says its not a sex change but a gender change) are actually possible.Tony literally stated that estrogen helped him grow boobs and that it's turning him into a real woman.I dont think we should listen to someone who thinks that.Again someones happiness should'nt determine reality.

Tony literally stated that estrogen helped him grow boobs and that it's turning him into a real woman.
Don't forget he's also said his inverted penis skin has changed into true and honest vaginal lining:
One year today! Tony has tweeted about his flesh cave to mark the occasion.
The bullshit about penile skin mAgIckaLly transforming into mucous membrane in the neovagina will never not make me roll my eyes with great force. [Cites: Do histologic changes in the skin-lined neovagina of male-to-female transsexuals really occur? - PubMed (archive)]
LOL at Erin Reed repeating the same lie as Kevin Gibes about his ballsack skin magically turning into real vagina membranes.
I am just catching up on the horror, but I wanted to add: it is funny how Tony tried to sound sciencey by using the word "histological," but then immediately referred to a "membrane" instead of "mucous membrane" because "mucous" would sound too gross when he's talking about his magic Barbie pouch.

he definitely said after he got his stinkditch dug that he was now a biological woman but i can't find it, search is being gay.

cos the only thing that defines a woman is the bonus hole between our legs.

not chromosomes (non standard karyotypes!), hormones (some cis women need HRT!), presence of female reproductive organs (not all cis women have them!).

but, apparently, the type of epithelial cells inside your vagina or "vagina" does actually make enough of a difference for them to make up bullshit about them.

Guess who is back to making the same old nonsensical claims and false attributions about the Swedish Study.

Ever hear anti-trans activists claim "The Swedish Study" shows gender affirming care raises suicide rates by 19 times?
