Zach's district is probably the "containment area" for the local loonies who attend the U of Montana.

Yes, it's uphill. But she has a real shot with the farmers if she gets behind right to repair and digs into inflation. Those two will grab the farmers and ranchers, who have a built-in distaste for the troonery. Get her out there and make it a very public thing. Do 'Farm Hall' meetings. Get her female face out there as a farmer's friend and watch Zack's caricature try to follow while bleating about 'transgenger rights'. Also turn Nex on him. Make him sound like a lunatic trying to tie her suicide to 'transphobia'. It can work.I think you are 100% correct. The district seems to be "Vote Blue No Matter Who!". There is one comment on the article I posted and it alludes to the re-districting being gerry-rigged.

I just looked at Zack's campaign finance reports and he only has two donors that actually live in the state.Yes, it's uphill. That's another point to contend in today's environment. She can build her entire network locally. Pimp her local support for local issues. Keep Zack and Tony pushing the culture war, she can focus on the community's needs. Let their deranged rantings prove how little local issues mean to them. Yeah, Zack's district may be a gerrymandered mess but Trump has proven that voters are willing to split their ticket. Use it.I just looked at Zack's campaign finance reports and he only has two donors that actually live in the state.
I’d say that she should avoid even talking about troon shit if possible. Right now, culture war stuff is a peripheral issue for most people, but that is basically all Zac has. If she focuses on stuff people want, Zac’s on the back foot. Then Zac looks totally self-obsessed, being a gay man in a dress who’s only interested in gay men in dresses.Yes, it's uphill. She also has the advantage of Tony has done such a great job making their mental illness so publicly known that any attempts at character assassination is suicidal for the Troon Twins. If she can develop a decent ground game there is a real chance.I’d say that she should avoid even talking about troon shit if possible. I don't know much about Montana politics, but I seriously doubt she has any chance here. I mean, the district apparently consists of the University and the "Hip Strip" (the art district) (plus the "Slant Streets" which is just a neighborhood where the streets are all diagonal to the city grid). A Republican has no shot, no matter how weak their Democratic opponent is.I was starting to think Zach was going to be running unopposed for his second campaign, but thankfully a Republican challenger has filed a campaign seeking the House District 95 seat.
Meet Barbara W Starmer! She just filed this week and she still doesn't have a campaign website. She is a romance novelist. She needs to get this campaign up and running, this district is mostly college kids and hipsters so she is gonna need to get rizz with the zoomers ASAP. Hopefully, more to come soon because she has zero web presence at the moment. Local Candidates (A)
Yes, they have the Dumbass Zone, but they have a strong farming industry which can be an equalizer. Even if she doesn't win, a strong enough showing and she could be some new blood in the Old White party.I don't know much about Montana politics, but I seriously doubt she has any chance here. The question I have is what would constitute a moral victory for a Republican on these terms, a showing that is a repudiation of the Democratic candidate? For example, if a Republican got 30% of the vote in Washington DC it would be a massive upset even though they still lose. What would that number be for Montana's 95th district?
I got the impression that Zach's district was pretty gerrymandered though.
Zac’s district is one of the few in Missoula without a weird shape, both before and after the redrawing of the boundaries. (House district 100 before, 95 afterwards.) It’s just a very urban district, with the demographics that usually implies (younger, less wealthy).I think you are 100% correct. The district seems to be "Vote Blue No Matter Who!". Notoriously lots of farms in central MissoulaYes, they have the Dumbass Zone, but they have a strong farming industry which can be an equalizer. Even if she doesn't win, a strong enough showing and she could be some new blood in the Old White party.
The deadline has passed. Any potential primary challenger would have already needed to register their campaign. The deadline was Monday the 11th at 5:00pm.Zac’s district is one of the few in Missoula without a weird shape, both before and after the redrawing of the boundaries. The real election would be the Democratic primary, but I don’t know what the rules are there for subjecting a sitting official to a primary challenge.
Yeah, no opponents then. The only way Zac doesn’t get re-elected is if he withdraws. The deadline has passed. Any potential primary challenger would have already needed to register their campaign. The deadline was Monday the 11th at 5:00pm.
This is for the nomination. Also there's a Republican candidate although probably a sacrificial lamb. Barbara Starmer. That district is pretty pozzed if they'd elect a completely useless freakshow like Zachary who is also a total lame duck who can't even do anything because of his chimpouts on the floor.Yeah, no opponents then. The only way Zac doesn’t get re-elected is if he withdraws.
Holy shit, I'm a fucking retard. I was working off old maps. Of what, I have no Goddamned idea. Disregard most of my idiocy, except I still believe Starmer can do some good throwing bombs at the troon machine. I still think she needs to forget the pozzed and work the adults in the room and build the favors for later while establishing herself on the scene.Zac’s district is one of the few in Missoula without a weird shape, both before and after the redrawing of the boundaries. Wow, is he really that popular?
Oh my god is she legitimately saying that because individual US states tried to maintain slavery in the past, states today should have no autonomy? Also no, they do not function as individual countries, in fact the outcome of the American civil war pretty much decided that they have less authority than the federal government. If you don't like your state's laws then fucking leave, and it's not as if living in a red state means you need to seek shelter from anti-trans right-wing death squads. Not to mention chopping off your tits is not "basic healthcare", it's moreso in the lane of elective plastic surgery.Someone on tumblr referenced Snaggletooth favourably. Tumblr is of a pooner whose manly interests are sewing, embroidery, and reblogging cutesy fanart. Archive.
