Anyone else playing pve with friends or solo? I'm having a really good time with it. I bought eod on sale years ago and thought I'd check it out just out of curiousity. It's great, I'd recommend checking it out if you haven't already. My pc isn't that great and I can't keep my framerate above 15~ in SPT else I'd probably play that instead with some AI mods installed.

I refuse to play Tarkov again until they fix the fucking garbage nyetcode and make an actual anticheat. It’s such a great concept for a game, but the issues it has are just too glaring.

Couldn't see myself playing tarkov pvp mode ever again unless the rampant cheating is somehow dealt with, I don't see that happening though. Recommend PvE or spt if you're anything like me, maybe the latter in particular if your pc can handle it. Some of those mods look great especially the ai overhauls/ improvements.

Still salty about that time when they gave everyone 500-1000 or so 7.62x39 BP rounds just after wipe.

I'm tempted to touch PvE but like @TTD = Total Tarkov Death said, I can't justify coming back to the game when the issues are so glaring. PvE sounds great but not when there's 10+ minute queue times, cheaters can get into your games, and the netcode (even in PvE) is absolute dogshit.

Fwiw I haven't had queues longer than 2 minutes, most of the time it just loads assets and straight into raid (eu with 2 servers selected).

I just got back into Tarkov via PVE , there is no wait times(max 90 seconds), i hate to fucking say it but the PVE mode is actually really good. It's super difficult, I never thought i'd get a rush from tarkov again. If you play solo it hosts the game locally now on smaller maps, so there is no que. I thought everyone playing PVE was gay, but now i'm playing it and its fun AF especially w/ a friend.

True it's a lot better, but a lot of people don't have good enough PCs to host large maps locally. Have you configured your PC to host the co-op mod? Last time i tried it it wasn't plug and play and SPT disavows it. AT least back then it did. I'm not even sure where to find the co-op mod anymore, i remember you had to open ports in your router etc & install a bunch of frameworks.

1. It goes against the goal of SPT which is to allow offline (solo) play of EFT, it has never been an objective to play with others, hence the name of the project, Single Player Tarkov.

2. SPT is a modification of EFTs offline raid mode where we save profile data after a raid. The ‘SPT Server’ is just a system for saving your profile to your hard drive, along with emulation of traders, flea market, hideout, etc.

3. BattleState Games - the developer of EFT - would demolish the project with significant legal pressure if COOP were added, SPT would instantly stop existing.

4. There have been two attempts to create a COOP system by people outside of SPT."

Digging for a difficult un-supported un-affiliated co-op mod filters about 99% of people from using it. I'd be interested to mess with it again though if you have any info on it. The last functioning version was SIT but i'm pretty sure there's a lot of compatibility isssues with it. What have you used.

https://github.com/project-fika/fika-documentation has the info. Not sure about hardware requirements but if you can then it's preferable to supporting Nikita.

Edit: the multiplayer mod has over 50k users.
Friends and I run our own and it's been fun, there's a handful of mods that change AI behavior to make them more 'dynamic' and adds more challenge and 'life' to them. We disabled the flea market so we have to find everything in raid, and it's been a blast.
