$ (ETH) Ethereum - ETH and the Ethereum Project General Discussion

Those gas fees are killing the moment, two days ago i moved 0.20 ETH and i paid $52 gas, how is ETH going to solve this fee problem? Binance Chain has lower fees and is growing usersbase because of this.
Because of this, the notorious "big tiddy scammer" Richard Heart, known for his ERC-20 token HEX, is going to fork Ethereum. He calls the thing PulseChain and it's going to be Proof-of-Stake with very low fees. Since PulseChain will contain a snapshot of the Ethereum blockchain, it's also going to have copies of almost every ERC-20 token on its addresses which won't be worth shit in its beginning, but hey, it's going to be "the largest airdrop in history".

It's a real bloodbath out there. It's not just Elon shitting on Bitcoin, it's all these dog themed shit coins clogging the Ethereum network and driving astronomical Gas fees. I sold out my ETH position at 3720 in a conversion to Cardano. Figured that might ride the chaos better but alas its doomping like everything else. Fingers crossed it bounces back faster then ETH. The only bright spot on my balance right now is the ever Crabbing BAT.

What units are we talking here? Cents? Dollars? D&D virgins in paradise?
Who knows. Its choppy waters now thanks to the meme coins. Its a literal DDoS attack of scam dog branded shit coins. Hopefully the coming upgrade in July can fix it, but I don't think they really planned for something like this occurring. I know I certainly didn't see it coming. The problem is the decentralized creation of Ethereum tokens means that anyone can create one is hard baked into the network. I suppose this is the natural evolution of any internet function. The utopian ideal of a moderator free forum meets the ugly reality of shit posting. Suddenly the free utopia requires Jannies.

In the meantime, ETH Competitors like Sushi and ADA are definitely buys. Kinda wish I went with Sushi instead of ADA though but time will tell. I do plan to circle back to ETH eventually so I don't think the fundamentals are bad, but right now its a mess. They could fix it and we continue our upward trajectory to 10k EoY, or they don't fix it and the entire project drowns in a sea of literal dog shit. I would definitely not have all your eggs in ETH right now for sure.
