I'd take an newborn infant and raise them away from the world for 20 years, but I'd make it so everyone who interacts with them is done up head to toe in some real elder horror special effects makeup so the child assumes that that's just what everyone looks like. No mirrors, no outside media, nothing to break the immersion. Then when they're 20, you just drop them into a highly populated city like London or New York and see how fast their mind breaks from seeing this mass of "deformed" normal people everywhere.

I don't know why, just seems like it would be amusing.
 
you know how cell samples can be frozen for storage, then brought back to live by returning them to normal temperature? i'd try the same thing on living humans. induce a coma, then throw the whole person into a big tank of liquid nitrogen to flash freeze them, something like that. then figure out a way to un-freeze and reanimate them.
 
I believe some politicians are immune to lava, so my experiment would be keep throwing them into a volcano until I discover the immune one.
 
Implement segregation. Not specific to race, specific to ideology. I want this social justice bullshit out of Engineering. I'm sick of seeing retards claiming that AI is racist or has implicit bias because some dude got hurt feelings. They can't ever point to any example that has no other explanation other than racism or bias. If you took a social science, cool. Keep your opinions there if its too much effort to read the basics. Your thought policing isn't useful and it doesn't make you a contributing member of any engineering incentive. Quit trying to answer questions you don't understand because you think that having an opinion on social justice makes you qualified to be a retard.

I am really interested what would happen if you took a full human body and put it in a big vat and ran a hydrogenation reaction with a palladium catalyst on their entire body.
 
I would do a lot of human genetic engineering. I would engineer humans for the traits that make superior humans. I would also attempt to remove some of the bugs in the present human genome. I would try to have biochemically enforced monogamy. I might also try and make a eusocial human species, with different classes for different tasks. For instance a soldier class, colonist class, and leader class.

I might also run a side project trying to duplicate the SPARTAN II program from Halo.

Pressure and temp would kill them instantly before anything interesting happened. You could get the same results from trying it on a dead chicken or pig.
 
I'd invent experimental surgeries and and use untested combinations of drugs to turn men into women and women into men.

Could you maybe fix the design of knees? Horribly unstable and damaging themselves just by moving.

If god exists, he's terrible at unit design.
 
With ethics out the window I suppose I'd make things like vaccination and organ donation not optional. The only way you're getting out of getting out of it is having allergies to the ingredients in vaccines or drinking your liver out of commission. There's no good reason to let preventable diseases spread and needy people rot on waiting lists while people throw perfectly good organs in a hole in the ground.

Take 1,000 autistics: 500 extremely bright savants, 500 CWCs, 250 of each gender for each category, and place them in a giant, completely furnished city-dome like The Truman Show, with cameras everywhere, keep them in there for 10 years, see what they do. All facilities will be fully stocked and ready to go, and supplies would be shipped in from off-set to restock the stores. It's up to the 1,000 to take up jobs and maintain their community.
