One would ask what being an atheist has to do with GMO's. Even then, there can be anti-GMO atheist. Skepticism can be used by anyone regardless what they believe in. Many of us would no doubt be skeptical towards claims a lol-cow would make.

I think he watched Penn & Teller's Bullshit.

When I was in freshman year I met my first militant atheist ever. He was my math teacher. The first time I ever saw him he was wearing a designer fedora and polkadot shirt with suspenders. We will call him Jason for this, and he introduced himself as Sir Jason, a "gentlesir who likes physics, math, xkcd, and torturing children!". I thought he was being sarcastic, but soon I was proved wrong as he actually did torture the non nerdy kids. He really did like xkcd as he posted their unfunny comics all over the walls. I was given many a lecture about why I was a bully to others because I simply disagreed with him, and he pushed me to my limits. I proceeded to call him a edgelord and he got pissed, went off on a rant about people with imaginary friends and said that I was too stupid to pass his class. He gave me 1 hour and a half of detention. My school ended at 5:00, so I started walking a mile home at 6:30. I have had a distrust for militant atheists since. Every word here is true and not exaggerated.

Christ, what an asshole. He sounds like a nasty, petty excuse of a man.

What gets me is that he proclaimed how he liked "torturing children"/putting down his students.

I hope you passed the dark fedoralord's class, @Lovekindler

Found another one.

Their profile says a lot about their intellectual character.

Edit- I found this a few minutes ago.

Theists believe in one god or many gods/goddesses/etc.

Atheists believe in none- zero.

Belief in only one God, but not 2000+ others, still makes a person a theist.

So the remark in the second pic is logically invalid.

I also noticed that many atheists love to complain about the 3 Abrahamic religions the most.

Atheists like other people can be bigoted towards muslims they just say muslims are irrational savages that need to be under a dictator whereas a fundie would say they are worshiping that demon mohammed!

One can say it's due to two of them being in the top spots of most followed religion along with the fact that they don't have a clean history. While that is true, it doesn't excuse the fact that there are other religions that aren't as clean in comparison.

"B-but he killed them over a parking space!"

Nonsense. Some people bent over backwards to cover his ass.

I found haven for religion-bashing atheists today. http://www.patheos.com
Considering cover, his wife insist he isn't a bigot. If he wasn't a bigot, he wouldn't shoot people that were of a different religion. I will admit though that I'm taking all of it with some salt. Perhaps it is over parking space but then again, considering his stance on religion, there may as well been another reason. Either way, this man can end up being ammo for those that loathe atheism.

Because it's the one they're the most familiar with. Western world atheists were probably raised, to some degree, in either Christian or Jewish environments or enough of those two have leaked into non-religious culture in the west that they at least have more than SOME familiarity with them. (Family Guy makes Bible jokes, for example.) Islam is close enough that their knowledge of the above two helps them here and it has the added benefit of being really controversial so there's a lot of information available on it to the casual observer (a lot of it flawed or taken out of context, of course).
