You might think because of how much male SJWs excoriate "neckbeards" and "fedoras" that they don't actually have neckbeards and fedoras themselves, but they usually do.
 
I was thinking earlier today about how most (if not all) militant atheists usually say things like "there is PROOF God doesn't exist" or "I don't understand how people can believe in God when all of the evidence says otherwise."

What proof? What evidence? If you ask a scientist- I mean, a real scientist, not some loser on Reddit who worships Neil Degrasse Tyson- for proof that God doesn't exist, they'll tell you that there isn't any. Science as a whole really doesn't like to deal in absolutes or certainties; that's why so many concepts (like evolution, for example) are still referred to as "theories" even though we're sure they exist. Scientists are encouraged to be rational, but also keep an open mind; after all, so much of what we know to be true now would have sounded absolutely ludicrous to scientists centuries or even decades ago.

That's why an atheistic scientist would usually say something like "I don't believe in God" rather than "God doesn't exist." They know that something as metaphysical and abstract as God can't be conclusively proven or disproven with the scientific method. That's why it's so funny that euphorics who supposedly worship science deal in such absolutes and try to claim that science has "proven" something that is impossible to prove.
 
I thought, I'd check into this thread for once too. I haven't read all of the sixty pages, so if this has already been a topic, I'm sorry.

The thing is, as this "atheist community" began to rise, I was all on board. I liked how people were finally saying "There is no reason to believe in god and here is why.", because I thought, hey, these people make sense.
But like almost anything on the internet, this shit spiralled out of control entirely. Smug Atheists that attack people, simply because they believe, not because they are harming others or are extremely radical about it. Dawkins is a great example of this, making an entire documentary/book about it, beginning with how simple little religious festivals are a "slippery slope" to extremism. I read the God Delusion and all I could see, was a guy that hated religion and thought that biology, what he majored in, is enough to disprove god entirely.
And then all the internet Atheists, who lick this guys boots and parrot anything he or other "top atheists" say.

And then they get pissed, when religious people say "Atheism is a religion". While I agree, it's by definition not a religion, you'd have to be really delusional to not see how it still parallels other religions. They say they have no dogmas, no rules, but I dare any Atheist to actually think critical and question any "rules" that the Atheist community has set up. (Like screaming out "fallacy!" in order to get out of a conversation, feeling like they won.) It already starts when you bring up "Well, god could exist!" or that you simply don't want to be called an Atheist, because you don't want to be put in a bucket with others out there, but they insist that you are, whether you like it or not.

I also shudder at the new breed of feminist atheists.

The only church that would have a problem with evolution would be the protestant churches. Then again, they'd say there isn't much differences despite the contrary with each denomination. Even then, it's not like every protestant church thinks evolution is evil and Charles Darwin is the devil. Also, a fundamentalist would be more on the lines of cherry-picking than a moderate.
 
I'm always amused by the accusations of being anti-science. Go to the science museum or the history museum on a weekday, and you'll see a ton of school groups there--a lot of them from religious schools, even. (Just look for the herd of plaid skirts.) If they're trying to make the kids anti-science, they're doing a piss-poor job of it.

Doesn't Judaism allow other religions to coexist as in not converting? I know a Deacon in the episcopal church who thinks other religions are a-ok, as well.

Judaism actively discourages proselytizing, and makes conversion quite difficult.

There is much here that is dumb, let me count the ways:

1. Advocation of genocide by religion. Sure, the gays in the base books were supposed to be destroyed due to being abominations, but religions as a whole were not focused on for termination. The writer of this drivel is confusing the notion of religious superiority with how people tended to use faith. Islam was known and is usually known for being pretty lenient to Christians and Jews, due to all three following the same God. Christians who want to gas the Jews and Muslims do so out of polemics made by other figures; Jews because of their participation of martyring Jesus, Muslims due to occupying Jerusalem. Termination of pagans was more accommodations and syncretisms of events. The only notes of other religions in these books denote that they are inferior.

2. Virulently anti-religious states have disproven that a world without religion would be more peaceful and willing to allow the gays. Anyone who tries to sell off the USSR and Maoist China as poor examples of this are potatoes like Phil and thus are worthy only of laughter. Both banned religion; both saw (and see) the gays as a cancer, and both created worse maniacs than Hitler.

3. Jews and Muslims only have their land problems due to the British promising both of them a mandate in the Palestine region. So it's more perfidious Albion's fault there than these two having a problem. Arabs focus on it more now to hide the fact that many of their nations are fat fucking failures due to nepotism and corruption, stoked by the cold war and rationalized with religion.

4. lol Taoism only negates the gays because of culture; a lot of cultures in South Asia and the East are horrified that men want to fuck men and women want to fuck women.

5. Autistically insistent that the only true religious people are the hateful strawmen fundies. This is because this is the only target such an intellectually lazy and trollshielding fuck could target. What's changing belief systems? Whaddat?

6. Tell the Asatru and Romuva to their faces that gays are k in their hood. A lot of neopagans, particularly from these two different reconstructions, hate the fuck out of gays due to being a hotspot for retarded neo-fascists and nazis. Taoism is more of a philosophy anyway last I checked, perfectly capable of being blended with a variety of faiths, laughing at the idea here.

7. This is why you happen to want to break religion and act as bad as most fundies.

And even then, the anti-science ones are your fundamentlist sects, which are actually a minority. (A LOUD one, but a minority just the same).
 
During the Enlightenment, and up into the Industrial Revolution, a lot of religious people turned TO science, hoping it would lead to a "better understanding of God" because they felt organized, dogmatic religion wasn't answering the real questions of why the universe did the things it did.

Religious people (if not religious institutions) led the charge INTO science, but good luck finding a Euphoric who'll concede that without at least saltily pointing out that Galileo got the raw deal.

Just going to say based off what I learned from Daoism, Daoism is wanting to have harmony but that is achieved by Wu Wei or "non-action". Think of doing something in the same way we try to breath normally. Also irc, Daoism mentioned one should also find compassion so I'm pretty sure that means said compassion wouldn't be the kind that harms those of LGBT status.

Also, in regards to one of the claims from @Adamska over Daoism, the culture thing may be more tied with Confucianism due to the fact that Confucianism was about societal harmony. One can argue that Confucianism can screw over other groups but on that same note, since we proved we can have a harmonious society that includes homosexuality and such, Confucianism could no doubt be for social justice so as long as it brings about a harmonious society. (I could be wrong but then again, Confucianism, like other religions, can be abused and end up being used badly).

You have worked your way into deserving not kindness but hatred. Even then, I figured out hatred was not the solution, and I now have pity for you. You are so sad that you make me laugh, even though you are deserving of wrath. Then again, no one likes to be seen with pity, so in some ways it is worse for you.

The overwhelming stupidity you demonstrate day to day is so huge that, if represented physically, it would be a mountain that would reach beyond the atmosphere. Before I would have simply said this to conservative christians, but now I see that the vast majority of the members of this religion (at best 90%, at worst 99.9%) is either incredibly stupid, incredibly ignorant or incredibly mentally retarded. I dare to say that "mentally retarded" is the most accurate answer, because no one sane can be like that.

To begin with stating how moronic you servants of Yahweh (or, as Michael put it in The Salvation War, "Yah-yah"), your religion never had a purpose to begin with. Some people are kind enough to say that Christianity was the basis of morality and that now outlived its usefulness, but either they are lying or they are just as mentally ill as you. Morality is something native to mankind, because humans know whats right and wrong, they don't need a retarded space gnome to tell them that. If you honestly need to believe in God to keep yourself from raping and killing, then you are not a virtuous person, you are a psychopath. The argument morality comes from believe shots itself on the foot, because only a weak person cannot control him/herself. Thus, the only moral to obtain from that is that you are weak.

Second, your morals suck. We already know killing and hurting people is wrong, but as if that wasn't enough the Bible puts more stress in stoning people to death by not following stupid rules like not eating shrimp. For a religion where you are supposed to "love your neighbour", Christianity sure is hypocrital. And don't tell me it is exclusive to the Old Testament; Jesus himself said to follow the rules of the Old Testement. In addition, the only thing Christianity was responsible for was to spread discrimination; homophobia, persecution of other faiths and other forms of mass murder of inoccent people are inventions of Christianity, and historically billions of people died in name of God just because they weren't following your rules.

Besides killing many people historically, and giving absolutely nothing good in return, modern christians also ask for the deaths of people that don't follow their religion. Homosexuals, pagans and atheists are regularly killed or discriminated in places Christianity is dominant; christian nations in thee Caribbean, Africa and Central America are just as bad as islamic nations and communist nations. And you may say, "many christians don't discriminate". Bullshit, the vast majority of christians I met are biased; even if they tolerate LGBT people, atheists or pagans they still see themselves as superior and do believe they end up in Hell.

This also leads to another very important aspect of Christianity: hypocrisy. Many christians will bash homosexuals yet they refuse to complain about tatoos or eating shellfish; many will argue the New Testement doesn't speak about them, but Jesus himself said that the Old Testement should be followed. Thus, they are either ignorant or stupid. Also most christians don't donate even though the Bible says so; this is mostly because God favours people who kiss his ass and who doesn't gets a bad life, and so poor people are worthy of being poor according to christians. More proof on how your religion is laughably stupid.

And then comes the cherry in the top of the cake: Yahweh. I refuse to reffer to him as "God" because A) the Bible makes clear he isn't the only God and B) he doesn't deserved to be put above other gods for how retarded he is. Yahweh is a psychopath, and yet you dumb sheep reffer to him as "loving and caring". Yet, through most of the Bible all he does is killing people and telling people to kill people and torturing the people he doesn't kill. Sounds loving and caring to me. Note also: everyone Yahweh kills goes to Hell, and on the Bible he killed millions of children in his rampages. According to christians, being loving and caring means sending inoccent children to suffer forever in Hell. Bravo christians, you just gave me good reasons to shoot you in the head. Also, Yahweh admits being evil on the Bible, so you just prove how stupid you are for believing he is good. Considering he is the war god of the Canaanite Mythology, no wonder he likes killing and torturing people.

And then comes Hell. Appearently, a loving and caring god sends people who don't agree with him to be tortured forever, even children and dogs (read Revelation; dogs get thrown in the lake of fire as well). Many christians "justify" this by saying its your fault for ending up in Hell, but thats bullshit because God created Hell in the first place. Also fallen angels are tortured in Hell as well, so everyone showing demons as torturers of the damned is stupidly ignorant. Some christians say Hell is just the absence from Yahweh and that you just feel guilty and lonely forever instead. Lol, you are so retarded to think it is any less bad.

The moral is: Christianity is stupid, and so are you for being part of it. The rules contradict themselves, its morals are horrid, its god is worse than the Devil and every follower of said religion is either an hypocrite, deluded or just plain stupid.

Furthermore, you christians do nothing but deny reality. You deny people you don't like are human, you deny evolution and science in name of a war god and you deny that your religion is useless and dangerous even though Christianity is the main cause of death and suffering in the western civilasation. Hell, you think treating other people like crap is holy, which does not surprise me at all because Yah-yah is a sadist.

To make this letter short, you are:

- stupid
- useless
- immoral
- worthy of all kinds of death and torture.

Recently, I may have found the reason to why euphoric atheism is spreading like it is. It's because they spend the most time and effort out of anyone else in creating propaganda that slanders & demonizes anyone and everyone who isn't them. American Atheists and the Freedom From Religion Foundation just to name two examples.

I actually tried to count the AH's and Strawmen arguments but lost count and got a headache from the stupidity of the article. Isn't slandering and demonizing people and being manipulative what the EAs accuse religions of doing?
