With the Crusades, I wouldn't be surprised if those sticking with the religion angle didn't think further over the causes of war or were too busy in the tard ass fights one could have over religion within the internet.
The Crusades (the actual ones, not the sectarian temper tantrum that was the Albigensian Crusade) weren't very deadly. It was essentially two professional armies behaving professionally. It was one of the few pre-modern wars that behaved like modern armies are supposed to. Civilians had to be protected and cared for, that kind of thing. Both sides feared desecration of the land they were trying to control to an absurd degree. Even including the Albigensian Crusade the death toll over more than 200 years of war isn't much higher than just the US death toll in Vietnam, and medical care before the 14th century as pretty lacking.

Most wars aren't caused by religion. They're caused by someone like Genghis Khan or Atilla the Hun realizing his people's method of fighting completely destroys everyone around him and taking advantage of that.

If you want to see a lot of euphoric atheists, go on ifunny (speaking of which, why isn't there an ifunny thread?). Anytime theres a post in the featured section that is remotely related to Christianity, you can expect atheists pissing themselves in rage.

So you can bitch about how Christian kids can only exist because their parents raise them to be Christian, and that's wrong somehow, but you do the exact same thing but with an atheist bent, and that's ok.

Also I'm having fun imagining that when their kids go through the teenage rebellion phase that they get all fundie on them. I bet they'd blow their top.

I think it's hilarious how the fedora wearing vocal minority of E-atheist's somehow managed to make it completely uncool to be an atheist on every major website online. Like how fucking autistic do you have to be to do that?

It turns out that being an autistic, uncompromising zealot is just as repulsive and offputting when you're against God as it is when you're for God.

Every atheist I know has been an absolutely miserable person to be around. They are everything they accuse religious people of being. Preachy, judgemental confrontational, and exclusionary. That's not to say I've not met religious people who were arseholes too. But I've met very welcoming and kind people of many different faiths who use their faith as a guide on how to live a moral and righteous life without feeling the need to preach or exclude others.. We need that in these clown world times.
