It's also funny to note they only specify a degree, meaning it can range from an Associate's to a full doctorate. It's always fun to see fudged statistics, especially since Euphorics love to shit on creationists for doing the same thing with their "doctors".

It's a really dumb argument because pound for pound I'm sure the most educated group in the US are Korean Presbyterians. There's that one church of theirs in NYC where the majority of the congregation is made up of doctors and lawyers. It's insane.

I'm not conflating anything. It's demonstrable you can create philosophies that guide completely functional cultures with a fairly similar basic understanding of right and wrong without any form of divinity. Buddhists and Confucians both pulled this off back in the day.

Social creatures as a whole tend to need to have some form of dynamic to ensure groups are functional and stable since they survive by the troop, the pack. Humans since we have brains that jumped the gap from sentient to sapient and being the most developed of that lot have this amazing ability to then explain and think about these details and codify them into ways that deal with our peers ever growing ability to also think through their own maladaptive behaviors. It also sometimes gets mixed in with their explanations about the great mysteries of death and creation.

But again, this is a thread to mock fedora tippers who need to feel smart, not be smug yourself so here's some cringe I trawled to get this thread back on track:

They (and most of the world) also missed the whole shit that went down with the Russian Orthodox Church (Patriarchate of Kyiv and Moscow) and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (who just wants to be the Patriarchate of Kyiv.)

You had soldiers invading ROC churches and telling them they're UOC now, people throwing bricks at each other, etc. It caused a whole shitload of resentment. Fedora-tippers apparently think the only actual religious people who exist in the world are evangelicals in the US.

Euphoric athiests always confuse me with their gotchas. They don' really understand that being a Prophet or chosen by God is a fucking big job and most of the Prophets within the Bible get frustrated with it. The OT is a history of the Jewish People and it generally doesn't paint them as some ubermensch race like a lot of modern Jews think of themselves. They fuck up and many times persecute their own prophets because times are good and why do you want some guy around saying that God doesn't want you to murder your own people and take their wives? Who gives a shit that even David fucked up and admitted it's a dick move?

There's that old saying that they love to parrot that goes something like, "Athiests know the Bible/Torah/Korran better than most Christians/Jews/Muslims". It always irks me because it's always pulling a verse out of context. The entire New Testament is the Jewish people being lead by corrupt religious authorities who hide behind an overly complex internal system of rules while being backed by the Roman Empire. A lot of the allegories Jesus speaks in are him trying to avoid being called a heretic or a rebel.
Abrahamic Religion has a very grounded message and the narratives throughout the OT and NT are not some overly philosophical stuff for modern people, we've had centuries where the harder philosophical ideas are effectively no longer alien and part of popular conscience.

How the fuck do athiest niggers misunderstand Paul/ Saul? It's a redemption story.
