"Anti-science" is one of those really common, and pretty smoothbrained, insults fedora atheists like to use. Like, dude religious centers have been, by far, some of the most important centers of learning in human history. There was a time in human history where if you knew how to read, chances are it was because of the Bible. And that's just the West.
Many theories still used today came from extremely devout people, even the Big Bang Theory was proposed by Georges Lemaître, who was a Belgian cosmologist and Catholic priest. Also Issac Newton, while being fucking crazy, was obsessed with the Christian God.
And that's not even mentioning the fact that, also for a long time, ancient written works were saved and hand copied by the Church. There was absolutely some political fuckery going on due to national and religious politics, but if these fedoras would actually read some history they would know that the "anti-science" guys are more "anti ideologically motivated and skewed science".
