Euphoric atheists

Hey guys, I recently came up with a brilliant idea. You know how there's a "Draw Muhammad" day that really serves no other purpose but to try to get under Muslims' skins? (I think it was started by a militant atheist. Please let me know if that's the case.)

What we need now is a "Draw Hitchens" day. Everyone makes crudely drawn, grotesque pictures of Christopher Hitchens doing disgusting or demeaning things. An example would be something like Hitchens 69ing Dawkins while shitting in each other's mouths. And to add extra insult, it'll be on either on the day he died or on his birthday.

I really think this has the potential to become a thing, especially since Hitchens was/ is a particular favorite circle-jerk leader for the euphorics. Let me know what you think, then go tell others so we can make this happen.

You deserve a billion winner ratings. This needs to be a thing.

"If I were given control of a country, I would turn into a totalitarian dictator and force people to give up their beliefs through any means possible."

Thank fuck these people are too dumb and uncharismatic to actually gain any power.

I got into a "debate" today with an EA. Their entire argument was based around "90% of republicans base their laws around Christian beliefs and you can't prove God is real."

smh.

edit:

I have officially "won" the "debate." They were incapable of anything but ad hominem. According to the Atheist Rulebook, that makes me the victor. I think?

What political alignment has the most euphoric atheists? I'm tempted to say the libertarian left and the libertarian right, but there are atheists everywhere. The libertarian right is the most associated with fedorians, so make of that what you will.

The Parasite Alignment, since they tend to be self-absorbed smug fucks.

Most libertarian leftists I've known are critical of religion on the grounds that organized religion tends to be in bed with capitalist powers rather than the "pro-science" circlejerk that right libertarians seem to go for, if they care about religion at all (I've known a lot of libertarian socialists and anarchists that are entirely ambivalent to religion).

This thread makes me weep for logic. Logic don't be what they think it do.

Powerlevel, but I sincerely believe the only reasonable to stance to take is agnosticism. Just fucking accept we have no clue and can't possibly prove anything conclusively one way or the other when it comes to the existence of a God or creator or whatever you want to call it. The validity of organized religions created by fucking backward barbarians thousands/hundreds of years ago who had less knowledge of how the world works than any modern day 10 year old, for the sole purpose of political power, is another story entirely.

I have no idea how anyone can take them seriously considering the bewildering variety of completely contradictory religions humans have worshipped over the whole of recorded history, with a fervor and belief as strong as any of the modern day. And people still give legitimacy to the latest variations as if they were something unique and not the exact same shit under a different cloak. I can understand being raised into it and seeing it as part of a collective form of tribalism, but to honestly swallow the retarded claptrap whole? To really believe the endless retarded myths that read like a spergy superhero fanfiction? You really need to be ignorant and narcissistic to think your ass just so happens to have been born in a time when the religion you worship, that has existed for a mere blip on the timeline of human existence when compared to the tens of thousands, even hundreds of thousands of years of other generations who must apparently have been condemned to worshipping false idols before God finally deigned to show himself and his "true" doctrine. How fucking shallow and narrow a view of history can one have that this makes sense?

The other day tranny roomate with the cringy bumper stickers was bragging about how they parked at a church for Pokemon Go and supposedly the members of the church got their jimmies rustled by the bumper stickers (and the fact that said roomate is very, very nonpassing). Even if it's true, the way they told it came off as "lol look at me, I made the dang dirty xtians mad! I'm so edgy and hardkore!". I cringed a little internally.

Minor, but figured I might as well share.

Note that this is all from one page.

Another thing that I'd like to bring up is the euphorics' persistence in perpetuating "facts" that have been proven to be bullshit time and time again. Two best examples below that I didn't put in the collage.

I mean I know one of the biggest rules in propaganda is that repeating something enough times will get people to believe it, but come the fuck on. The first one I've seen disproven dozens of times. First off, babies are not born with enough mental capabilities to understand the concepts of God and belief. You could say this means everyone is born agnostic. Many people (myself included) can put this as a side-effect of the original sin. A baby can only become an atheist if that is what they were taught. (Yeah I said it. Atheism can be and is taught. Come get me.)
As for the second one, it can be disproved with two words. North Korea. (Really any extreme communist run country for that matter.) Besides, the internet itself is one giant training camp, if all of the open celebrations on church burnings and shootings, twisted psychopathic role-plays, and general theophobic hate/ fear mongering is anything to go by.
It just goes to show that when you try so hard to prove that you're better then everyone else, you only end up going to show that you're actually worse.

For these people, it's ALWAYS the literal, fundamentalists. Never the normal, every-day, minding their own business moderates, who use their beliefs for good. Hell, wasn't Mister Rogers a minister? If Mister fucking Rogers was evil because he was a Christian, then I don't want to live in this fucking world.

Well duh. It gives these lazy fucks a nail to hang their fedora on since it makes their job so much easier to deal with and gives them that validation that they are smart. Euphorics pretty much are the A-log of religions because of this trollshielding behavior.

I like playing devil’s advocate a lot (there’s no position that I find too absurd to defend), but maybe the better way to put it is I am a contrarian douche for the sake of being a contrarian douche, and there’s no better way to unsettle atheists (and people in general) than to hold positions which fully defy the conventions of current human logic. If I say I am an atheist or pro-choice, a lot of people will agree; if I say I am a theist or pro-life, a lot of people will agree, and if I say I have some sensible position in between the two aforementioned, a lot will agree too. But if I say I am a dialetheist, everyone (especially atheists) will be confused and then chimpout when they eventually realize what it means. As such, I am a dialetheist concerning pretty much all issues. One truth of existence is that, at base, every human is a true dialetheist concerning every possible stance, but at the moment I don’t have the focus to explain why this is an innate feature of every possible self-aware being.

I love how so many Euphoric memes bring up the story of Abraham and Isaac, and completely miss the actual meaning of the events because they're incapable of looking at it from the perspective of the original audience. The fact Abraham was willing to sacrifice his son to God was remarkable not because Abraham was an asshole or gullible, but because that wasn't an unusual request by tribal religions at the time. It would have been just a very common practice by neighboring peoples at the time, so when Abraham was told to do it, he did it, albeit with a heavy heart. God stopped Abraham, not to be a dick, but specifically to show him that the relationship he wanted with his people was going to be different than that of the pagan gods he'd known so far.

What does this mean to us in the 21st century? It means that the God of the Bible, even the fire-and-vengeance guy in the Old Testament, was a considerable departure from the traditions at the time, and even if you're viewing religion as solely a superstitious practice, it's a clear sign that humanity was becoming more enlightened as time went on.

I think it's been said before, but these Atheists take their bibles pretty damn literally, almost as much as the hardcore fundamentalists.

That is a noteworthy point; Rome even took advantage of this old Canaanite and Phoenician tradition when they made their propaganda war against Qart-Hadast, since early in the city's history they did sacrifice children sometimes to their gods like Baal-Hammon and the like, usually when times were bad.

As an aside, some euphorics tend to also like to reference that the second set of commandments have a rule that is about child sacrifices if I remember right. It's the one that states "All firstborn belong to me.". Now, I reckon that it was more along the lines of you needing to donate or provide these firstborns to the priests, but I do know some euphorics hyperbolize it. AronRa in particular does so last I checked.
