If they were enlightened, they would of known it was a joke. Some might just say "I was pretending to be retarded" or "I thumbed this up ironically". It wouldn't excuse any skepticism toward their claim though since anyone can try to deny.

I'm also pretty sure I had science classes in first grade, if not kindergarten. Not sure how that would qualify as "young adult".

Only if they bother to know what makes one religion different from the other outside of deities and names.
