I was hoping to encounter what would just be a thread where we rag on how much Eurovision sucks ass (which it honestly does!); instead, we get a bunch of fucking stupid American SJWs making things even worse than they already are with what was shite to begin with.

It's a good day to be alive, honestly. A damn good day.

Honestly, though - please, PLEASE be careful not to give anyone ideas for how to make Eurovision more unique and/or interesting... They will fuck it up - and fuck it up tragically. Trust me.

EuroVision is at fault for stirring this shit up by trying to pay lip service to "diversity" and appeal to SJWs. They made the same mistake that US college campuses make, they should not even acknowledge the existence of this shit in the first place because nothing they do will ever placate these people.

 
What's stupid is basically anywhere could join Eurovision if they wanted to, considering the EBA rules seem to have been tossed out with Australia.

These people are probably the only ones taking Eurovision seriously by reeee-ing, the whole thing is meant to laugh at.

Actually its because europeans and americans have such vastly different outlooks when it comes to what "diversity" means. European diversity means the different ethnicities and cultures that have grown up in Europe (Which I split elsewhere as Bohemian, Slavic, Romantic, Northern and Anglosphere) and their coming together in peace and song after about five centuries of kicking the ever loving shit out of each other. It's complete drek, of course, but that's the key difference.

In comparison, the USA has had diversity largely hijacked by identity politics to the sole degree, largely because the USA's melting-pot attitude used to annihilate incoming cultures, or melt them down into elements everyone could enjoy. "White culture" and "Black Culture" in the USA is a fairly homogenised amalgam of various european cultures, hence why "diversity" in the USA tends to boil down to something as blatantly racist as denoting skin colour, rather than which ethnic group you belong to.
 
I have yet to see a single american person to understand cultural diversity that doesn' t have to do with fuckin skin colour or a person that understands european culture in general. We in europe here are diverse too, you know? There are a shit load of different cultures with different people here but for tumblrinas(/twitter users in this case) they' re all just white. . I' m really getting increasingly mad over people just generalising europe. If people did that to african or asian people there' d be a shitstorm, but because we are white there is no reason for us to complain(I mean other than being striped of our cultural identity but that's not THAT important, right?)

Also they tend to completely forget that not every country in this goodamn world is a melting pot. Many european countries lack POC but have different kinds of "white" cultures. But they wouldn' t complain about an african show not having any white people.

I do agree with the three male hosts, no female host thing, but it's not that big of a matter. Maybe they planed a female host and she got sick, idk.
All in all that outrage is completely superfluous and if you don' t know anything about europe, just shut about it.
 
I kinda wonder why is that, tbh. That so many people (not even americans, I see some latinos and even canadians act the same) act like Europe is just one big country with the same history, language, etc. These where probably the same people that bitched and moaned when Brexit happened

"You have to stay together! It'd be like if Texas seceded!" Uh, honey, NO. Why would Brits have to put up with Germany's bullshit? They don't even speak the same language...

It also makes me wonder what would happen if some fuck then later on would make the "Latin American Union", or some shit. Expect some salt from these same individuals.
